El Nopal

We were there on Friday, we ordered Fajitas and another plate that had a burrito and enchilada, the Fajitas were ok, the enchilada was drenched in sauce and had very little chicken in it, the ground beef in the burrito was awful, it reminded me of the stuff they use at taco bell! The salsa was the only thing that taste good.
The service was not good at all, there was only 3 other tables occupied so our waitress only had us and she couldn’t handle that because she was busy sitting at one of the many empty tables playing with her phone! Also, we could partially see into the kitchen and a couple of the employees were smoking cigarettes back there! Needless to say, we will never go there again, or any of their other locations.
I had to give this place 1 post my comment, it really deserves none.

My husband and I love going here! The service, food, and margaritas have always been great for us!

Ordered fajita nachos and chips were stale. Watched them pour margarita out of a warm gallon jug. The fajita peppers and onions weren’t even cooked. Won’t go back. Seriously, chips are the bread and butter of Mexican restaurants, how do you screw that up?

Had a great dinner here. Charlie took amazing care of us. I ordered the enchiladas and the sauce tasted like fresh tomatoes — in February! We also ordered the queso fundido and we almost had to lick the bowl. Cute neighborhood and great patio.

Brought the kids here on a Friday night and found it to be super mediocre, if that. The chips and salsa were the best part of the meal.
The kids meals came with packets of ketchup, so that about sums it up for me.
My margarita tasted like meh. It wasn’t blended or shaken at all. Whatever, it’s Eureka. No where else would this place have four stars.

As always El Nopals served great food in a family environment. Very timely with drinks and food. When coming to El Nopals you are treated like family. They have the best frozen margarita around. We eat and drink there at least twice a week, sometimes more. If you have been you should go. If you had a bad experience in the past they have new owners that are among the best people we have ever met.

We had lunch here on a Monday, not at all busy. The service was fair. The food was not even fair. Three out of the five had a beef item; the beef was so tough you couldn’t chew it. There were also large chunks of fatty stuff. We have eaten at El Napol in the Valley Park area and it is always pretty good, but we will definitely not eat at the Eureka location again.

I am from LA originally so the bar I set for Mexican food is the same bar that Missourians set for BBQ in states not known for BBQ.
This place is decent for suburban MO. Mexican food. I had the Carnitas and it was very flavorful. The one knock against the Carnitas is that it could be crispier or at least more stringy.
I would come back. Don’t expect amazingness. Just expect a decent meal at a reasonable price with generous portions.

This restaurant was some of the best Mexican food I’ve had in Missouri. Most places out here taste all the same, but everything was so fresh and delicious! Awesome service too!

I got the caldo de pollo soup. The ingredients where cooked almost perfect. I found their avocados where very fresh. The queseo cheese is pretty good tasting. I just wish it was a bit thicker. I found it to be a bit runny but that is just a minor thing to me but at times it can be mildly annoying having cheese drip everywhere when eating chips. My friend had quesadea fajita chicken and it was cooked perfect. I found thier chips to be above average. There was NO funny deep fryer taste to them, nor where they oily. The salsa was fine but nothing special. The refried beans where such a disappointment though, don’t bother trying them. I’d go back there again.

Food was bland but the atmosphere was good. I’ll try it again to see if it was an issue with the cook.
