Yup, it’s true, the best furniture store in town! Thank goodness they are here and serving the fine people of Humboldt County. I went to the showroom several times and each time I got stellar customer service. They are friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and most importantly work with you and your budget. I never once felt pressured or pushed and they made sure I got exactly what I needed. The showroom is big and you’ll see many samples on the floor which make it easier should you have to purchase from one of their catalogues. They also carry a wide range of mattresses so check them out. As for me, I had the great pleasure of working with two wonderful folks– Brian for all of our bedroom (s) furniture and Scott for the formal living room and family room. Delivery has been prompt, in fact I got things sooner than I had planned for (added bonus)!

I needed a new mattress & box spring set and called a few stores in Eureka. By far, I got the best information from Jay at FDC. I stopped in the next day and was happily not pressed by sales staff. Brian was very helpful and I found what I was looking for within a short time. The pricing was very good w/​free delivery for the next day. The delivery was right on time and set up & removal of old bed completed in way under an hour. Nominal fee for removal. Bed is great and I will definitely go back for future furniture purchases.

By far one of the best furniture stores around and probably the best place for bedding in the entire northern coastal area. The good folks at Furniture Design Center are all friendly, professional and knowledgeable and all of the staff I have encountered or dealt with have all been kind and courteous.
They carry a full range of bedding including the Tempurpedic line of bedding — the Sleep Number bed. Also, Serta, Sealy and other top quality mattress manufacturers are available and on display for your inspection and use to determine which is right for you. No high pressure sales tactics here, just great customer service and information — they appear to actually care that you select the right bedding (or furniture) for your needs and budget.
As well they carry a nice selection of home furnishings; tables and chairs, sofas, loungers, recliners, end tables, coffee tables and more. This is the best place to buy furniture in the greater Humboldt bay area and a solid place to do business with behind the Redwood curtain.

Hands down the best furniture store in all of Northern California. Blane and his team go way beyond to provide the best customer service experience ever. I have purchased furniture for 3 different homes from them and will continue to do so.

The guys here are great! You never feel like they are trying to upsell you on anything. They are more than happy to answer any of your questions. Dustin helped me reconfigure living room furniture in their showroom until I felt confident about what I wanted to order. We have also worked with Brian H. and he is a really nice guy, but you seriously can’t go wrong no matter who helps you. A really outstanding and helpful group!

We had such a great experience at FDC today. We were in town for the holidays, educating ourselves on Tempurpedics. The salespeople were so nice, although not much of a buck to be made on us. If you want to meet nice people who know a lot about mattresses, check them out.
