Burger King

The quality of food was to be expected– it’s Burger King– but Terri was a very rude employee. Muttering about customers and your coworkers under your breath is not what I consider professionalism, even in such a low brow setting.

Slow slow slow! The breakfast food is good but it shouldn’t take so long to get through a drive through. While in town for business I was stuck in the drive through line one day for nearly 15 minutes after they took my order. There were lots of cars and the lot was full so it was understandable. Well, and the woman got wrong order for the car in front of me … and then my order was wrong. The next time there was no line of cars but I still had to wait and watch through the drive through window while the same employee finished her conversation with another employee for several minutes. These weren’t young people either! It was faster the last day to just go into an actual breakfast place and sit down!

I dig a whopper now and again but this bk sometimes has slow service. I don’t know why but often they can’t seem to get their shit together. I’ve literally backed out of the drive thru because it was taking so long. But I keep coming because I prefer a whopper to a big mac.
But here’s the thing, as I write this the McDonalds next door is being remodeled. It’ was torn down to the ground a few weeks ago and it’s getting built pretty fast.
In the morning I lean towards mcbreakfast so because the Mickey D’s next door is out of commish, I find myself for the first time checking out the bk morning selection… So listen guys, this is your time to shine. Burger King on 4^th and S. So far you still seem to be screwing around. step it up before you lose that remodel biz.

Do you ever have those days when you’re on a road trip, you forget that you’re hungry, then you suddenly realize and Unilocal for the nearest fast food place? Yeah, I have them too. Unilocal + Need of food = discovering fast food, stat!
We came here because we knew highway 299 wouldn’t have much to offer so it was now or never. We approached the drive through unable to make any decisions on food so we finally just chose things. The girl taking our order was so very patient with us and let us know we could take our time. Sometimes we go to fast food places and receive mushy fries, lukewarm burgers, and watery sodas. This place is not like that at all! They have: Crispy fries, hot burgers, and soda that doesn’t taste like it’s water with minimal flavoring. If you’re hungry and on the go, this is a place to go for sure!

Burger King is my favorite burger place no matter where they are. This one is no different. Fast service, great food and recently they even added a new iced tea urn that offers a selection of iced tea from unsweetened to various flavors.
My only criticism is it tends to be «bum friendly». Being on the North side of town it not only seems to draw local transients but the staff pretty much ignore them. Not much you can do about them hanging out in the restaurant drinking coffee but I’ve seen them numerous times outside the front door panhandling. Sometimes I’ll just drive by if I’m not in the mood to deal with them.
Some of the transients even use the restrooms for their morning personal needs. I saw one enter the restroom one morning, exiting about 15 minutes later while still brushing his teeth.
In fairness, I don’t see the bums there all the time and I’ll continue to eat there when I get the chance.

Pretty decent wait times and food, MUCH better than the McDonalds across the street!
