Very disappointing!!! How do you screw up chicken soup? I ordered a cup of chicken soup and a turkey sandwich, and I thought both were not very good. The soup tasted strange, almost sour, and seemed more like canned soup than fresh. The sandwich was dry, and bland. Definitely not worth the high prices. Do yourself a favor, and go somewhere else!

I would say this place is a 3.5 rating based off my one time experience here. I was looking for healthy food while staying in eureka and this location came up. I ended up getting the gyro, which is not all the healthy anyway, but it sounded good. The flavor was good, but I wouldn’t exactly say it reminded me of any gyros I normally have had. It was pretty greasy and saucy, so it is possible that the true flavor was disguised. I did enjoy it, it just wasn’t exactly what I had come here looking to eat.

I had been looking forward to trying this place for sometime and decided to pick up a quick dinner there instead of cooking. I was pretty disappointed. Very little selection of soups and over priced for the portions they give. I ordered a turkey sandwich and a cup of clam chowder. The turkey was dry, I doctored up the sandwich at home to make it better, the soup however was awful! It tasted bitter and watered down, little to no potatoes. Wouldnt recommend.

Wow! This is a fantastic place to eat. Fresh food prepared by a crew of happy people. Salads perfect. Soup is devine. Great hours. Nice dining room. Couldn’t be better. Very grateful for Humboldt Soup Co.

Wait staff was surly… tables hadn’t been wiped off in hours, no clean silverware and no one seemed interested in running the dishwasher, soup lacked depth and taste, grilled cheese tasted like it had been grilled in reclaimed diesel oil… And the cheese wasn’t even melted, chips were not only burnt but napalmed, all this for 16 bucks … Stay home and open a can of Campbell’s …in my humble opinion

This place is fantastic!!! I have never been to a sandwich and soup shop that has more flavor and great customer service! You can tell the ingredients are fresh. I will definitely be coming back here

Awesome gyro, the tuna melt and clam chowder was a hit. I loved the Ice tea. Pita chips and hummas was a great pick from a healthy menu. I would go there if I’m on a special diet or not because of the variety of choices.

Never eat here. That was the worst most over priced food I’ve had in forever. Everyone that I know that’s eaten there said it sucked and I decided to check it out anyway. Their macaroni and cheese balls tasted like burned oil. No flavor ATALL. Disgusting. The tuna melt sandwich was tiny and soggy. Ridiculously shitty meal for spending thirty dollars with no drinks. Never ever ever ever ever again will I eat there. F. cking sh. t ass food.

Delicious soups and great menu options. The menu fluctuates daily. The coconut chicken curry soup and the chicken wild rice soup are my favorites!

Solid 3 star. Very basic. Ok price. Salads are good. Waldorf is my fav. Soup is good with a good amount of SALT and pepper. Carrot ginger is delish. Humus was good but very different made with olives. Pita chips are always burnt Ginger soda is garbage. Good place for a quick lunch on the go but ByoS&P

My wife and I popped in here for the first time today for lunch. It was fairly busy and I was surprised how quickly we got our food. The soup was top quality and I will definitely be coming here again.

I order food from Humboldt Soup Co at least once a week. I have a very sensitive stomach that does not do well on processed foods or additives and I have never had a problem eating at Humboldt Soup Co. They usually have four or five soups on hand and a selection of fresh salads. I haven’t had anything there I didn’t like!

Delicious clam chowder and falafel wrap. The handcrafted ginger soda was great with real ginger shredded into the soda. Music was a kinda loud which may explain the empty dining room. When we were ordering, between the music and the kitchen noise we couldn’t hear the person at the counter. They seemed annoyed that we had to ask them to repeat almost everything.

So great for fresh and interesting foods. Similar to a Panera but with a minimalist menu that is sure to please! As the name implies, you’ll remember them by their delicious soups. I especially loved the chicken corn chowder! However, the also have a nice selection of salads and sandwiches. My only suggestion would be to offer different hummus selections for their falafel wrap — ours had a strange taste like soy sauce? Other than that, everything was perfect!

Everything is fresh and made in house. The staff are friendly and helpful! Loved the hand crafted root beer soda! The coconut chicken curry soup was so delicious I almost licked my bowl clean. This needs to be a constant on the menu for sure. Definitely a place I will frequent for a hearty lunch!

Great food, great service! What a find! The beat salad was awesome. The bread and deserts were awesome according to my friends. I’m gluten free and dairy free and they were very accommodating about that. Not sure if it’s cross contamination safe but for ingredients pretty good. House made ginger soda made me happy. And they offer free taste tests of all the soups! Really great little place!

Not sure why this place got less than stellar reviews … Husband and I went here for dinner Friday night and it was delicious! Fresh ingredients, good flavors and plenty of options. I got the gyro, greek salad combo and he got the corned beef sandwich and chorizo soup. We were both impressed by the uniqueness of the menu(which includes fun things like sassafras soda) and it’s cool that they have a drive-thru. Kind of reminded me of a Panera, but Humboldt-style. We both have decent appetites and thought the portions were more than enough and fairly-priced. I had trouble finishing my sandwich, but the desserts were calling my name, so I decided to get a pecan bar to go. It was delicious ;)

Good, quality food fast. They’ve only been open for a couple of months; still have a few kinks to work out. The food was tasty. We had their quiche, clam chowder, and corned beef sandwich. We were amazed at how quickly we got the food. Friendly, helpful staff. Their menus change daily. We’ll definitely be back!
