I’ve been here multiple times now and I just don’t like it. The food sucks everything is over fried and the jambalaya is a joke. Great atmosphere to drink beers. Don’t show up hungry.

After a long drive down the Oregon Coast my family and I were looking forward to a good meal and beer. However, from start to finish it was one of the worst meals I’ve had in a long time. The key issue is service and the extreme lack it. After waiting a good half an hour on a busy Friday evening we finally sat down. After ordering brews and food I was really looking forward to chowing down. Sadly as the minutes went by, not only did our food never arrive, but our server never even once checked on us. Half an hour later or more, after seeing our neighbors who sat down after us had gotten their appetizer rather quickly, I finally caught the attention of our waiter and asked him what’s the deal. His response was nothing short of so what, wait your turn, other people are waiting longer than you. He seemed perturbed that I even asked him! I went to see the manager and he came over and offered us some drinks and dessert but his attitude was also who cares and who do you think you are? I did notice some of the wait staff around us working mightily to serve their clientele despite the enormously slow and horribly managed kitchen. Our server was not like that and could have cared less. So, if you want to come to a place where servers and management ignore you and no one gives a crap about your experience, this is the place. In my opinion not worth the mediocre beer and food. Btw my daughter had the runs right after we got to our hotel. Great ending — thanks Lost Coast!

Recently went to Eureka for a short one night stay and of course we had to stop at the Lost Coast Brewery Restaurant. We went on a Saturday night around 7pm. We put our name in with the hostess for a table and she told us it would be about 10 minutes. While we waited my husband took interest in their shirts for sale and also in bringing home a case of beer. An employee saw him eyeing the shirts and asked if we needed assistance. My husband settled on a «Great White» shirt with a black background. Not too long after that we were seated in a table by the front window. Our server, Rosemary, greeted us promptly. We started with the beer sampler. For entrees we had a burger and the coconut prawns with fries. For dessert we shared the bread pudding. The beers were great our favorites were Downtown Brown, 8 Ball, and the Great White. Rosemary was a hoot and kept us entertained every time she came over to our table. We ended up purchasing a case of beer to bring home. Lost Coast is a fun place to visit. Food is ok, service is great, beers are awesome.

I had the fish tacos which ended up being tasteless. The beer is awesome, however the service was lacking. An hour to get another drink and then the bill being completely wrong made this a 2 star operation. Please retrain your staff or send your customers to Sizzler.

We were sent here by friends from the area for the beer. We’re not big beer drinkers, so this review is more on the salad we ordered. Husband ordered a stout, which he thought was too bitter. We also had a ceasar salad. Honestly, if you’re put much weight on a review where the Unilocaler orders a salad at a bar, you’re missing a few.

Been on the brewery scene for decades and known for the beer. The recent addition of a «café» and food service has made this place even more difficult to get into and out of just to grab a beer. I’ve been a few times in the past year and unfortunately it’s always been packed with tourists and such during the«meal time» hours. Making it a challenge to just have a beer at the bar and go. Service becomes really slow with the crowds, and my last visit it went to a stand still for over 35 – 40 minutes, it took twenty minutes just to order a beer and the place was so crowded, and our server was stretched to thin, making it a very uneventful afternoon just to try and grab a cold one and maybe a bite to eat. After the 30+/- minutes to get our cold drafts — we opted not to order food as the turn around time was close to an hour. I watched tables order as we sat down and it took over 45 minutes for their food to arrive(when we decided to pass on food) and we had finished our beers. Not wanting to waiting another half hour for a draft, we left and even just getting the bill from our server took 10 minutes and another ten to get back with my card and to sign for the drafts. Again, known for the brews — you’re taking your chances though if it’s crowded, and with all the great micro-breweries in our area, this place becomes a secondary choice. 2.5 Stars — just average, rounded up instead of down. 390

What a horrible experience. The only reason I’m giving them two stars instead of one is because the Manager finally initiated comping part of our bill. We arrived, took 15 min for server to come to table, we ordered two sodas, one beer, and Calamari. It took 25 min to get our Calamari and after 15 min the waitress finally came to tell me that the beer I ordered was out. We ordered fish and chips, it took an hour to get our food! If our server would have been more vocal and let us know they were behind, maybe I would give 3 stars, but the communication was nonexistent. So much for an enjoyable evening for dinner.

Heard they have great food and I know they have good beer. Unfortunately, our party of 20 was too big. We tried to call ahead of time(2 hours ahead) but they told me they definitely can’t take reservations for our group but we can try to walk in. We tried walking in and the hostess was rude and treated us like we were a nuisance. We were more than willing to split our party up in smaller groups and mentioned that on the phone and in person. Gave them 3 stars because their food and beer have great reputations. Unfortunately, I don’t have a first hand experience with the food. Don’t take big parties here!

Pardon me, do you have any Grey Poupon? Yes, heck yes they do! One of the first beers I remember actually enjoying as a legal adult was Tangerine. Since then, my taste in brewskies has changed and fluctuated with each passing year, but my love for Tangerine remains the same. Love remains the same, man. That’s why I was so excited to finally visit Lost Coast in Eureka while on a road trip with my fellow beer loving girlfriends. I was pleased to find it even more eccentric and funky than I would have thought. We sat next to a giant spider on a string that moved up and down every time someone opened the backdoor. I tried not to freak out. The Classic Flight of 10 tasters was the perfect amount for 3 people to finish off. We got to try the seasonals along with the classics, like Great White, Alleycat Amber, Downtown Brown, the Pale, and two IPAs. Sad to find out that Apricot is only available on tap here, not in bottles to take home. Food was pretty decent as well. Portions are large and decently priced. I noticed that my friend received nachos that had a ton of broken chips hidden underneath and didn’t appreciate that. Service was also on the slow and unenthusiastic side, but that is one server out of the several that work there, so I can’t rate them too harshly. All in all, we had a good time here. Definitely worth a stop the next time you’re passing through Eureka on the ol’ 101. They didn’t even mind us taking pictures of Beer n Bananas. It’s how we do. #BeerNBananas

I had a good time visiting Lost Coast Brewery and Café on a Saturday night with friends while we were visiting Humboldt County. When we arrived in the evening, parking on the street was a bit tight, so we ended up parking in the back in this lot with metered parking that was free in the evening. They have two entrances to Lost Coast, so we were also able to access the brewery from this parking lot. I noticed that they had soft pretzels on the menu, but I didn’t try them because I had a large lunch so opted for a large salad instead. The portion sizes are huge here, so next time I go, I’ll probably just even share something with someone since their plates really do feed more than one person. My salad was okay, but was nothing that I would recommend or go out of my way to order again. The atmosphere of the brewery was fun aside from the large fake spider that was apparently hanging over my head and dangled up and down when people opened or closed the door. I did like the Great White themed décor though and thought it was a fun place to hang out. The only beer that I really, really enjoyed was the Apricot Wheat, which apparently isn’t distributed and is only available to-go in growlers from the brewery. Bummer! I also thought the Indica IPA and Pale Ale were above average. The Great White tasted just average to me and lacked a pronounced flavor. It was good to try it though since I know that is their most popular beer. I would come back again.

I try to like this place… But visiting Lost Coast is sometimes(well… Always…) Like Russian roulette. You never know if the bullet is going to be the service… The food… The drink… Or the overall cleanliness of this site… But one things for sure… One in six in a party will he bummed out at the end of the visit. On this night, I arrived with a party of four. We ordered a pitcher of winterbraun to begin with. Fifteen minutes later our cute little waitress hadn’t returned to see if we were ready to order. Then she floated by the table to a pair of freshly seated patrons, where she took an order. The restaurant, at this point, was at 50% capacity. I’m a good sport. So rather than feeling slighted, I signaled her as she walked by, and teased her a bit. She reacted well and took our order. The food arrived ~15 minutes later. Hot wings: as expected. A dozen oysters on half shell: 11 arrived. Nachos with chicken: chips were mush by the time they arrived, and for some reason ALL cheese was caked to bottom of plate. And very little on the chips. The nachos and wings were on the crap side of mediocre. The oysters were pretty good. The waitress for some reason got really cold… And looking around, I noticed every other staff member looked either pissed off or miserable as well. Critiquing the mental or emotional welfare of the staff isn’t a hobby or job… But having delved in to this industry once or twice myself… I am pretty sure everybody doesn’t need to wear their misery on their sleeve… And especially don’t pass that on to the customers in the form of mediocre food and sub-par service. Lost coast isn’t the only game in town. But it is one of the worst. See you again next year when I need this reiterated.

Lost Coast Brewery and Café has some good beer! We ordered a sampler flight and we loved almost every one! They have a beer for everyone! My favorite was their Great White and the IPA! We decided to eat dinner there so I ordered the quesadillas and clam chowder. Oh my gosh! Their clam chowder was so good! I could have easily just eaten that! My only complaint was the service was not so great. I think our server was busy so I’ll cut her a break. Great job Lost Coast Brewery! We will be back!

Hey what great beer! The flight had 10 beers, which means that They have to be confident in their product but they were all great! I don’t like wheats but all 3 had great and distinctive flavors. The downtown brown and raspberry brown both had that nutty flavor of a brown but the rasp didn’t taste like the same beer with rasp added to it. Red ipa was my favorite. Good job to Melissa too. What a good ambassador for the beer! We also had the small chix nachos which were a nice compliment

This place is very busy. We ordered the flight and shared it. It comes with 10 samples that are more than enough for two. Service was friendly and good even though it was crazy busy. The beer is excellent, I am a big fan of their IPA! The baked pretzel was very buttery but the spicy mustard was excellent. We didn’t eat here so no I can’t say anything about their meals.
