The look of disappointment on the child’s face when we got home and the chocolate mousse was VERY coffee flavored with a vanilla center did not do anything to make us think we would ever want to return. If your chocolate mousse is going to be mocha and vanilla flavored, don’t label it as simply «chocolate mousse.»

I keep going to Ramones because it is right on my way to work and I want to like it. I continue to be annoyed every time I am there at the inconsistent freshness and yumminess of the baked goods and the poor customer service.
Today, on my way to work (~7:10am), I went in and waited in line about 5 minutes. When I got up to the counter the barista said «I’ll be right back» and started serving a bunch of tables their orders. Meanwhile the other cash register is open and that guy doesn’t bother to come help me, but instead calls for people to come to his line. Of course everyone rushes over, so I just wait where I am. 5 – 10 minutes later that guy comes over and starts to help me and was not at all apologetic (of the now 10 – 15 minute wait just to order). To top off the frustration, I wanted a veggie breakfast burrito and he gave the last two, to people who he helped before me that started out in line behind me. I got out alive and with coffee, so not the end of the world. But, generally speaking, this is how it goes at Ramones on Harrison. I always leave smh and wondering why I spent my money there. Makes me miss Loleta Bakery that much more.

I just went there to get a coffee and Bagel. Coffee got served first thing. However, after 20 minutes no bagel. Was late for my appointment so had to get refund.

Just need to know the difference between vegetarian and non vegetarian! Obviously they don’t have a clue that Chicken and Salami are animals? My company has been feeding me a chicken salad SW during conferences for months, as they were told it’s a veggie SW. Also to verify I picked up a cold SW labelled veggie-​cheese, without meat mentioned in the ingredients to find a hefty slice of salami. Business is thriving, who cares right? Everything tastes good!

When you say bakery, i think goodies! The cakes are beautiful but i wasnt impressed with my cartot cake… i am a big careot caker… if your gonna make a cake, make it authentic. I personally dont like all the healthy crap when it comes to sweets. I dont eat it to often so when i do i want real butter cream cheese frosting and the moistest cake ever… not whip cream frosting… gross…a trend in the 90s to lighten the calorie load for cake lovers on a diet so they dont feel so bad about eating it. The menu looks great and they serve beer and have an outside dining area, i will be back to try the food out but wont be buying my goodies there.

Nice place for coffee or treats. There is a nice outdoor area to sit but the place is usually always packed and it is impossible to find good parking. Coffee is awesome. Bakery items are amazing.

Service today was 2 stars. Baked goods and food is always great. Service at Ramone’s in old town is sooooo much better. The staff on Harrison never smile, they are always pre-​occupied with each other, they constantly make mistakes on your order and then act as if its your fault. It’s unfortunate because the environment is so nice. I hope they get their staffing worked out. Today was another fail.

My review is regarding the catering side of Ramone’s. I’ve worked with Holly several times in two different jobs catering events both large and small and with big budgets and small ones, and I have never ever been disappointed. They are great about coming up with a creative delicious menu that fits our budget and dietary needs — even when my requests have been vague, ie «something gluten free with chicken?»
Ramone’s catering is always professional, on time, responsive and the food gets rave reviews from the crowds and the best part is we never run out! There’s nothing worse than hosting an event and having the food run out before everyone is served, and that’s never been a problem for Ramone’s.
Also, their cakes are to die for.

I ordered a cake for my daughter’s birthday, it is her first year of college and away from us and I wanted to make it special. The cake turned out beautifully and was delivered on time to her and she loved it! Thank you so very much for helping me feel closer to her on her special day. I will definitely order from you again!

This place has the best vibes, feels like home away from home. I prefer it to any other coffee shop I’ve visited in Humboldt County.

Food is awesome. Coffee is superb… Counter staff? Could they be any slower or less engaging? Been here a dozen times … It’s always predictable and if I anticipate 5 – 10 extra minutes in wait time … It’s just my life, waste my time please… At least the coffee never disappoints. How about a coffee only express line ???

The food was delicious, the service was phenomenal, and the atmosphere was perfect for a late Sunday breakfast. So excited to see they offered alcohol. Mimosa? Yes please! Can’t wait to go back

This morning I walked to Ramone’s before work giving myself 15 minutes before I had to be back. Needless to say I clocked in 10 minutes late! I work a block away. I ordered a scone and an eggnog latte. I stood and waited while everyone who ordered behind me was served their drinks before me. Every time I think I will give this place another try, it never fails to let me down.

Today, Holly Hendrix gets all my Unilocal praises for her professionalism and care while helping me pull off not 1 but 2 holiday parities. I know the bakery gets the kudos and praises they deserve all the time but I think those behind the scenes doing magic for their catering deserve the same! They will work with your vision and your budget and will create a menu that will work wonderfully with the type of event you are hosting. They are responsive, they deliver, they pick up and they make sure you are as relaxed and comfortable as possible. The last thing they want you to be worried about is the catering and they kept that promise. I was so happy that I went with Ramone’s since I’m fairly new in town! I’m still getting emails about how spectacular the food was and any positive feedback really is thanks to you guys. Thank you, Holly and the catering team for the happy faces and happy tummies! I’m begging… please actually soft boil or poach your eggs, the yokes are hard cooked no matter what I say. Every time. Every dish. Every time of day. Even when I’ve sent them back.
Ramones has many great qualities, the baked good and décor are the best. The service is mixed. The menu is limited.

Beautifully decorated with a wide selection of pastries, definitely a wonderful find here in Eureka. Loved the country atmosphere and delicious chocolate hazelnut biscotti.
However, the cashier was very unfriendly and rude. Normally I’d chalk it up to a busy morning, as the place was getting lots of traffic from St. Joe’s. However, after calling out for the next customer in line the cashier muttered something sarcastic about people not paying attention. I felt very unwelcome, as she did not even look at us at all during the transaction. We ordered 2 large blended mochas and 2 pastries. I honestly didn’t feel comfortable ordering more items that I wanted because the cashier seemed so irritated when I asked for my biscotti. Gave her $ 20 in cash and told her to give me just a moment so I could give her exact change for the 15 cents. She ignored me and handed me the change, pretty much shooing us away.
We ended up receiving small blended drinks which were watery, not even sure if we were overcharged as she never offered me a receipt.
Normally I wouldn’t let something like this reflect my opinion on the whole business, as I truly enjoyed everything else but I was a little offended as I saw her greet a regular guest warmly after us.
I would definitely advise management to have a meeting with their staff, as her attitude not only made me purchase less, but even deterred us from enjoying our coffee in store!

Slow inattentive staff of borderline competence.
Every time I go the line takes forever yet they have multiple staff just standing around looking like you are bothering them. One walked out of the bathroom today without washing. And I wouldn’t have noticed if you hadn’t left me standing for 20 minutes in line.

Great little coffee shop and bakery near home. I didn’t realize they have locations around Eureka. The only other one I went to was in Pierson’s hardware.
Delicious baked goods and coffees. Wait staff is friendly except for the last time I was there. New person maybe having an off day.

I had a last minute birthday cake made here for my roommate. It was a chocolate raspberry cake with raspberry butter cream… WOW was it beyond Amazing. rich moist delish and the most important part was the butter cream was NOT sickenly sweet… I hate over sugary frostings it was more like the delicate Vietnamese whip cream frostings back home.
Funny thing is I tried to go to Velitines… I think that is the name but they had no one to make the cake. Great thing because I found my new hometown bakery.
Absolutely perfect as good as any high priced bakery in Newport or Laguna Beach.

We went to the store and it was awesome as was the service. We also used them to do our wedding cake and they did an amazing job with it. They were very professional and more importantly did stunning work.
6 out of 5 stars particularly if your looking for a Wedding Cake in the area.
