I would give 0 stars but it would not let me. The cooks will jump orders. We sat waiting for our food over 30 mins, and there was another group that came in 15 mins after we did & they got there food 10 mins before we did. The servers was also very rude, my son just asked could he have some ranch & this(ugly word) woman told him with an attitude that she only had 2 hands. Personally steak & shake needs to do a overhaul on this store & get rid of everyone except the manager. He came to our table & apologized & offered to make it right but it was too late by then.

I walked in to get a to-go order stood at the counter for about 15 – 20 minutes while Raymond waited on not one but 5 people never paid attention to me while I was standing at the counter finally someone said something to him to take my order which do I was overcharged for my order to go and didn’t get what was on the coupon that I was ordering manager was nowhere around to be found another employee that was supposed to be the busboy was too busy in the back playing with a cell phone and more worried about his appearance than doing his job

I would just like to point out that the Waiter of the Year award has to go to a young man named Chase R. I came in for dinner by myself, and was seated across the aisle from the worst family/customers I have ever seen in my life. This poor server… they ordered a hamburger«without mayo,» he brings them a burger exactly that. They send it back and yell at him«we asked for extra mayo.» He brings exactly that, they send it back and yell at him«we asked for no mayo.» They finally accept the third burger, but yell at him for«being a smart*** and drowning it in ketchup.» So he finally comes to wait on me, apologizing for the delay. I told him it was fine, and I tried to sympathize with him having to deal with such horrible people. He shrugged it off… but it’s not over. My food was a little delayed, on account of them having to remake hamburger after hamburger for these horrid people, so he eventually brings it out and apologizes repeatedly for the delay, even offering to bring me a free shake to compensate for a delay that was in no way his fault. On my way out, he rushes by between tables and tells me to have a good night. Hands down the best waiter I have ever had, thank you Chase R for being a good person and and even better waiter. You did have an impact on me.

I used to go hear very often but then after 3 bad experiences I haven’t gone back. First bad experience my waitress took my order and got it wrong then I waited for my side order and it never came out because she had gone on break and didn’t tell anyone I was there when my side order came out it was all burnt and cold. 2 My family went in for lunch and once again had the same waitress once again she was forgetful about everything order was wrong, never came back to check on us our food was cold because she went for a smoke break and didn’t say anything to anyone. 3 we went in when the place had 4 tables being used we were seated but then, no one came to take our order for drinks or menus, several minutes went by and other people kept coming in and they were getting their orders taken first and food first we told the waitress that we had been there first and no one had taken our order all we got was a,” oh we will get to you in a minute” no one ever showed up. We walked out and have never gone back. Worst service ever!

Worst service imaginable. Four times in a row the drive through has given us the wrong food. The staff does NOT know their menu, the manager doesn’t care, and corporate complaint department is worthless. It takes 15 – 20 min to get food, and then it’s not correct. This last time I called the store directly and they didn’t answer, ATALL. So I called the 877 corporate number. Her response was an impassive«I can log a complaint and ask that the store manager contact you, but it’s not required.» Huh? I said, no I want to talk to the District Mgr. No, they can’t do that. I said«then let me talk to YOUR manager.» She put me on hold and 5 min later still no manager. I love their food and shakes, but nothing is worth this aggravation. Skip this place altogether.

Worst service of any steak n shake ever. 5 minutes to get seated with 10 open tables. «2 and a high chair please» had to get our own high chair after he didnt. Waited 10 more minutes to get anyone to take our order. Wife ordered cheese fries, she got a regular order of fries and a order of cheese fries. Had to adjust the check. My chili mac supreme was cold. I did however hear«I’m sorry» about 12 times, which should tell them something

Steak n Shake has awesome food and I always enjoy it, but the wait can get super long. Usually the wait for drinks is only 5 minutes. The wait for food usually is 20 minutes and can go up to 50! I would love to go there more, but the wait is so long, so I don’t feel like waiting. However, keep up the good customer service and the awesome food!

I am a lover of all things Steak and Shake. Since we drive through Eureka quite often on our way to and from St. Louis we have stopped at this location several times. Without fail it is always a mess. Just stopped on the way home from a Cardinals game went through the drive through to get shakes. They made us pull forward and wait. At about the ten minute mark I decided to wl walk in. On the way I passed two workers who were leaving for the night and one outside talking to friends. I was appalled at how filthy the inside of the restaurant was. I spoke to the manager about the wait time for shakes, then I said«You just let two people leave their shift without cleaning this mess up?» Waving my hands to indicate the grill area that had at least 10 hamburger buns being walked into the floor and the food line where they assemble the burgers was filthy, and behind the servers station that had food and trash all over the floor and tables that had dirty dishes all over them. He was young and had that dumbstruck look on his face. My advice, go in check the cleanliness first.

Food took forever, like 25 min to be exact and all we ordered was 2 hamburger meals. The shakes came right away like 5 min after we ordered and 25 min later we got our food. We were forced to either drink the shakes right away or let them melt if we waited to enjoy them with our meal. The hamburger tasted ok but was sloppily made. The size of the patty was ultra thin, when they advertise thick patties. It was deceptive. it is like the same size of a McDonald’s mc chicken and for the time we waited it doesn’t seem worth it. The fries were tasteless. They had no salt and were really bland. To top it off they forgot what orders we had and left out the napkins…

It doesn’t matter if u go thru the drive thru and be asked to pull forward for ten minutes and they forget about you, it doesn’t matter if you order ahead they forget about you The last resort was order online and still the whole order was screwed up.

Obviously needs new management, since reading reviews for past twelve months are confirmed by my visit. 35 minutes still have not received shakes, two adults two kids. Love the food but this location needs help of some sort. Will not be back and would suggest not coming unless you have an hour to kill.

We ordered shakes for our youth group-(16 pp) and that were fantastic! All of the shakes were prepared correctly and in a reasonable period of time. We will definitely come here again in the future.

This is my local Steak and Shake, it’s always short handed and horribly managed. The waitresses that are there are friendly but the food never comes out of the kitchen. We had to leave with no food again after a 45 min wait. This is the third time, and we will not be returning. If you don’t have time for a 90 minute dining experience at Steak and Shake keep driving to the next one down the road.

First of all I would like to send a huge thank you to the staff at steak and shake for ruining what was supposed to be a fun family night. We don’t get them very often, so really it’s very appreciated. This location is dirty. Everytime anyone was going to be seated the table had to be cleaned first, and they weren’t busy. The food? Please… If the president of the corporation even knew. That was not what I would call food. I have a medical issue and when I don’t eat it triggers a massive migraine that can put me down for days… So imagine getting inedible food after waiting over 35 minutes to begin with. My burger was cold and looked like rubber because it had been sitting so long. Needless to say bi wasn’t able to eat it. By the time we left the migraine was setting in… So the 3 rides my kids actually got to ride at 6flags before having to rush the 1.5 Hr home to get meds was a waste of time, money, and a huge disappointment to the kids. Again… Thank you for your high standards.
