Good food and great waitress and atmosphere. Will go back again. Food was fresh and got.

I have to say this restaurant is off the beaten path. The intersection in front of it has a lot of traffic. The space is small and cluttered. I was last here a few years ago. This is my first time reviewing it. The food is appetizing and they give generous portions. I have had just about every type of fare they offer. The pizza is really delicious and they use premium toppings. The gyros are subpar. The pasta is cooked well and they make good sauces. My major complaint is the lack of service. They always say they work as a team but it is a very uncoordinated team. My party should not have to ask for refills. Food= 4 Service= 2. Not sure if I will be back.

Been here seven or so times over the last couple of years and service has diminished considerably. It’s a Saturday night and we arrived at 6:45pm. We had 4 different waitresses and they were more concerned about closing down and putting away wine and other duties than checking on seated customers. Really disappointed because my daughter really likes the meatballs but we will not be back. I don’t know if the staff is tired or what but the service could be friendlier and more attentive for sure. Good luck Stavros. We like to support local restaurants but your service stinks time and time again.

We’ve been here twice, once for the pizza and once for a meal and the best thing I can say about the place is that their wait staff is excellent. The pizza had a too thick crust and the sauce was too sweet. When we went back to try the dinner we had lasagna and veal Marsala. The lasagna was not layered, just a lasagna noodle wrapped around a hug chunk of ricotta, laid onto to a bed of meat sauce and with melted mozzarella on top. If this had been a stuffed shell it would have been acceptable but not as lasagna. The veal dish was very bland with 3 pieces of veal laid on top of a mound of pasta with a grayish brown sauce poured over it all. Much as we love going to local restaurants we are crossing this one off our list.

We have eaten here many times over the years, always take-​out, and it has always been excellent. My wife loves their greek salad and pepperoni pizza and I love their lasagna. This is «old fashioned, down-​home» Italian cooking (as opposed to new/​trendy/​fancy Italian with tons of seafood dishes). Their calzones are pretty good too, though there is another place in the area we like even better. I also appreciate the fact that over the past 5 – 6 years they have not raised their prices much, unlike some of their competitors. It’s also worth noting that regardless of what we order, the food has been very consistent in both quality and quantity, something hard to come by in Lake county.

I will only purchase pizza from mom and pop pizzerias. Knowing this, a friend took me to Stavro’s for the first time on Saturday. I was tempted to special order an extra thin crust, but my friend said, «Stavro’s has a unique crust.» Therefore, I decided to try it their original way. Wow, am I glad I did.
The crust was perfect, not to thick or thin. It has a unique (great) flavor that you have to experience yourself. The sauce, toppings, and cheese were also perfect. The entire pie was top quality and extremely tasty!
I can’t wait to go back.

Maybe the pizza is better. I’ll have to give that a try next time im in the mood. Dinner special was tasty but really small. Hints why it’s only $ 9 and comes with a small salad. Personally I don’t care to much for the greek salad here and the dressing is all oil.

Never a bad meal. Best crust around. Small town feel. Won’t be disappointed. They use all the freshest ingredients.

The ultimate Greek Salad… this is actually the reason we will drive an hour for lunch!
The salad is one of the best because it’s shredded lettuce, gorgeous tomato slices, veggies, feta, and a wonderful house dressing all served in a consistent way. A large salad can easily be a full meal for one or shared between several people.
The pizza is also delicious and I’ve always ordered the Stavros Special.
Staff is friendly and the clientele all seem like regular customers.

A local institution. Almost like being transported back to Chicago where the Greek community dominates so many restaurants. I love seeing the dessert presentation in the glass carousel, just like where I grew up.
This is a wonderful family owned and run business. The Italian food and sandwiches are delicious and always fresh. The servers are helpful, attentive and friendly.

Great Pizza & good Italian. Love their White Pizza with Spinach!

The servers were really nice. Aimed to please. But the food was not up to my expectation. Stromboli was terrible! Maybe three pieces of pepperoni and small squares of ham. dough undercooked. Meatballs in the spaghetti were bland. Way too much cheese and ham in the salad. I won’t go back. There are other places close by that are much better.

Great pizzas and calzones. The Greek salads good also.

Chicken Parmesan sub and meatball sub are both top notch.
Friendly and attentive wait staff. Will definitely try again when I’m in the area.

Outstanding sauce and pizza… but there’s competition in the area. Service is consistent and friendly… sometime the kitchen is S L O W… but you’ll be rewarded with made FRESH sauces and awesome Greek salads.
