Have eaten only once but I can tell you I thought I was back in Jamacia. The smells, the spices, the main dish and sides were really good. The place is small with only a few tables but you can eat there. It’s very casual and low key. Yah Mon!

I like to pride myself as a bit of an adventurous eater, yet when it comes to goat, I’ve chickened out 3 times, Two out of the 3 times was at Jazmyn’s. This place is very close to work, and during the summer my schedule allows for me to occasionally go out for lunch. This place is located in a strip mall, next to a Domino’s pizza, hard to spot if you aren’t looking for it. It is a small but clean area with seating for a dozen or so, it is sparsely decorated. I’ve had the Jerk Chicken twice and really liked, though I don’t really have another authentic jerk experience to compare it to. I also got the Jamaican beef patty once here and thought it was good. I told myself twice that I was going to order the sauteed goat the next time I was there, but pussed out both times. I guarantee, next time I get there I WILL try the goat. … Tried the Curried Goat, Thought it was pretty good. First time trying goat and curry for that sake. This goat had a real good flavor and it was stewed to a great tenderness. My only problem was that it had all sorts of bizarre random bones in it. The included rice and beans soaked up the flavor and was really good. A bit of warning, this dish is pretty spicy, and I don’t usually eat food that’s too spicy. Would I recommend trying it, yes. Would I get some if I was at a buffet that served it, definitely. Do I ever see myself saying«you know what, I feel like curried goat for dinner», no.
