I would like to think that I am a pretty computer savvy person (don’t we all) — and I am stubborn enough to sit there and try to figure out a problem before asking anyone else for help. With that being said, I was out of luck when even my own IT guy at work couldn’t help, but I refused to buy a new computer just yet.
I will say the only thing that was not repaired instantly was my ego when they made my problem look so simplistic due to their expertise. I use my personal computer for work and for school and ensuring that it is in the best hands possible is a top priority
If you arent quite ready to give up on your current device, give these guys a ring, you wont regret it!

Everyone reading this save your time save your money (that they’ll try to get from you before you even see someone) and if you’re going to the evanston location save your change for parking. They rent out a ROOM in the Chase building. I went in no one I mean NO ONE was there from the company to help, no receptionist. I had to find out from someone else who rented rooms on the floor that everyone who works on that floor rents a damn room. How ghetto but then you want $ 75 of mine??? For what? Free money in your pocket? Do yourself a favor and go ACROSS THE STREET to GadgetWorks. It’s an ACTUAL RUNNING PROFESSIONAL ESTABLISHMENT! And they told me that this place sends work to them!!! Wow. What a stroke of luck to run into this place after being VERY DISAPPOINTED wasting my time in this cold weather for some bull. This company sucks

In response to your comment below. I called before I went up there I kept asking the young lady who answered if she worked out of the Evanston location or a call center. She would not answer the question but kept insisting my $ 75. Additionally if the location is closed she should’ve mentioned that to me on the phone when I told her I was in the Evanston area preparing to go to the location to speak to someone face to face. The whole experience today was very frustrating and very unprofessional in my opinion if you have a location plastered on your corporate number at least say it in the recording or have a sign at the location that says «we’re closed for the holidays». Not a good way to run a business when you come and go as you please without letting possible prospects know what’s going on. Hell, I went to a mom and pops computer place in Evanston before your location and (1) the recording when you calls says they’re not in due to weather and (2) when I went by there they had a sign that reflected exactly what’s on the recording when you call their phone number. AND THIS IS A MOM AND POPS WITH JUST THE ONE LOCATION. You guys have several locations and at first glance appeared to be a professionally run service that would at least have the same standards as a mom and pops… Additionally if you were really apologetic about the mess up I’d think you’d try to win me as a customer with a coupon or some sort of incentive to want to patronize your business one more time. You just offered an excuse to an overall bad customer experience. I therefore stand by my remarks and recommend GadgetWorks to anyone looking for a REAL PC repair establishment. They run their business like a business and not like a food truck…

I was in from out of town and was in the Evanston area for work. Few days before I had a corporate meeting my laptop was acting up. So I found this location on Unilocal knowing they will do the job in a jiffy. And I couldn’t be any happier. I got my laptop back and was exited to say that they were very nice and cooperative and understanding. Thank you again for your service. If anyone is in the area and needs their computer fixed this is the place to go!

I am computer savvy but for certain things I do need to call for help. I am currently studying for my CPA. One day during tax season, I came home after a 12 plus hour day and still needed to study but my laptop was not cooperating. I called this place because I remembered seeing them on Amazon Local. The service was phenomenal and I was able to use my laptop the following night for a double dosage of studying. Since then, I only come here for my IT needs. Previously, I have not had the best advice. Finding the right IT company is like finding the right mechanic. Once you found an honest company you stick with them. I highly recommend this place.
