Smaller, less packed, and less hectic than the nearby Sherman Ave. location. You can usually snag a seat. Good place to chill after shopping at the nearby Trader Joe’s, etc, and it’s just off the Dempster Purple Line stop.

For local Starbucks they are cool. Definitely happy that they opened this location. Coffee is always good and made fast. Exactly what you need when you are in a rush!

Just spent $ 45 @ this Starbucks to feed kids after school. Bought a pbj lunch container with mouldy veggies. Refund took 10 minutes, lots of atitude, no apology, register person stopped in middle of refund several times to heat up other customers sandwiches. I was polite regardless but not so much as to not leave a critical review. Worst Starbucks employee I’ve ever encountered.

Drove past here on Thursday, December 10 and it was open, drove past today, Monday, December 14 and the windows were papered over with a sign in the window that read«Sorry, this location is closed.» There may have been more copy, but I couldn’t see it as there was a huge dumpster in front and workers standing by the door. So. Weird! Anyone know what happened? Is it just a remodel? Or is it gone for good? :(

I love this Starbucks! I go here during lunch and it is so cozy and quaint. I can usually find parking right in front of SB or on the side street over. They have amazing service and the atmosphere is so welcoming. They also have outdoor seating which is fun to sit in to watch the people of Evanston. Never crowded when I come but I do go during the day. Come check out one of the better Starbucks!

This Starbucks is close to my job, and the mochas are always perfect. The waitstaff are friendly and service is fast. It’s a smaller coffee shop, but the view is nice and I always see interesting people there, as well as walking by. This is a good place to go to for breaks, and to hang out and people watch. I gave it 4 stars because it’s a good solid hang out/coffee shop that I enjoy for the convenience, and I reserve 5 star reviews for outstanding spectacular experiences and places. But this Starbucks is a great one!

This location is more of a neighborhood café feel than a chain store with the same starbucks products. The only downside is the inside is a bit small and can quickly get crowded, though they do have outdoor seating when there is nice weather. The service and everything else is typical of any other starbucks

I work right by this Starbucks location so I go here about once a week, sometimes even more. I used to not like this location as much due to some not-so-happy employees, but in the past year, their service has most definitely improved! The baristas they’ve hired are much friendlier, have smiles on their faces, and since most of them«know» who I am, there are times when they’ll converse with me, greet me by name, and/or even guess what I’m ordering(especially the younger staff!). Their drinks are always made right — I have zero complaints. This location is usually very busy, but on the days they aren’t, I get my drink within seconds of paying. They’re very quick! My only real complaint is that I can never find a place to sit! I often take my drink to go, but on those days I get to Evanston early and want to sit down, there usually isn’t a spot for me. I wish they could expand their location, or at least replace their larger tables with smaller ones to allow us «one person parties» a place to sit for a bit.

The only reason I come to this Starbucks is because it’s the closest coffeeshop to my apartment — I wish I could go to the one on Sherman instead, but it’s far too much of a trek in the cold. The drinks are fine, but I have to agree with the previous review on how unfriendly the baristas are, which is surprising to me since most Starbucks I’ve been to have super friendly workers. I’ve been here several times already, and saying that the baristas don’t smile at you is kind of an understatement — I almost feel as if they just glare at you as you’re making/picking up your drink order. I’ve also come to realize that there are often some strange people who come to this Starbucks — I’ve shared a table with more than just one person who was talking out loud to him/herself, and have also had a fair share of people approach me and ask for spare change. But hey, if you’re just here to get out of the house and get some work done with an average cup of coffee, this location works. Just don’t have high expectations regarding customer service and try and find a seat at the bar if you want to avoid strange encounters.

I have been going to this local Starbucks 1 to 2 times every week for the past year. And I have never been around such a grumpy workers. Every single time I try to smile and tell them«have a good day» and they just glare at me. I would completely avoid this franchise if I didn’t live so close by. Sure the coffee is good, but who wants to get a $ 5 latte from a perpetually pissed off person?

Love this location. Almost similar to the Streets of woodfield starbucks but much smaller. 4stars only because most of the tables lack a power connection and no parking but overall great ambience

This location was a bit busy. I can’t say I hate starbucks but I did want to take off a star because personally I thought the taste test thing they had going on was goofy. All in all this is a decent location for a lot of reasons: busy intersection, AYCE sushi nearby, blind faith nearby, TJ’s, car repair shop, etc. I wouldn’t even be coming in here if it wasn’t for a brief car repair. I’d say this location is decent, though.

I wish they could up the customer service and general pleasantries here. I’ve come here for years and have been perplexed by the inconsistent niceness of most of the staff here. I keep hoping it will improve …

This is my local Starbucks and I have to say that it’s pretty darn good. The barristas are exceptionally friendly. The line can get long but they keep it moving. It’s a little small inside as far as seating goes. Chances are decent that you’ll have to share one of the larger tables with a stranger. Or a family of strangers. Much better in the warmer months when the outside seating is available too. But aside from the occasional screaming child, the patrons here are pretty friendly too. I really like the«polls» that they do on the tip boxes. Every day is a different poll(i.e. summer vs winter, carry out vs. delivery). Just a cute, creative touch that makes this Starbucks feel more like a neighborhood hangout than a chain coffee shop. And that’s pretty great.

This tiny little Starbucks outpost really packs a punch. The staff that work here are the friendliest Starbucks baristas I’ve come across(and I’m known to frequent Starbucks pretty often). So, while the store itself is really small, I would rather come here for my soy latte than a bigger location with surly staff. This is always a post mani/pedi and Sea Ranch meal stop for me. As an added bonus, they make tipping more fun! There are 2 tip jars at the registers and the labels change all the time. Example: 1) Spiders are creepier. 2) Snakes are creepier. You decide which jar to put your tip in.(Spiders, duh.)

A starbucks is a starbucks… but not this one! I love this one. They are always so cheerful and build relationships with their customers. Every time I walk in here they know what I want to order and already ring me up! Sometimes I throw them a curve ball and switch up my order, but no worries my drink always comes out real good and fast! I come here on the quicks and on the daily so I am definitely a regular here. But the staff is super nice and they make Monday mornings seem like Saturday or Sunday afternoons. Thanks for being awesome =)

You probably know that not all Starbucks’ are equal. «My» Starbucks happens to be more equal than others. Yes, it gets crowded and busy. But what sets my local apart is that the people who work there are tirelessly friendly, fun and simply cool. They remember their customers, support local schools by donating and/or discounting items for nonprofits, and welcome people who meet there. If it has to be a chain, I’m really glad it’s staffed with such terrific men and women.
