I am giving this place 2 stars only because the first time I came there for an appointment with the optometrist I had a very positive experience. The doctor was very nice and very through. However, I had an unpleasant experience with the person behind the sales desk when I came back there another day to look at frames. I spent a good half an hour of my time picking frames and I settled on some that I liked. I just wanted to go home and think about it and then possibly come back the next day and purchase one of them. I wanted to take a photo of the frames so I can remember what I tried on and the guy would not allow that. I thought it was odd but I didn’t make a big deal out of it and just proceeded to write down the brand names. At this point the guy became very mean and told me I cannot write anything down either. When I asked how I’m supposed to remember what I tried on when I come back he just told me in a condescending tone to try all the frames on again the next time, basically expecting me to just spend more of my time on something I already did. He then proceeded to tell me in an accusatory tone that he knows how it is, that people like me go and look up the brands online and buy the frames elsewhere. First of all its none of his business how and where I ultimately choose to spend my money. Second, the irony is that I was actually genuinely interested in purchasing one of those frames at that store. However once he gave me this attitude I decided I’d rather take my business somewhere where it’s more appreciated. So he lost a customer right there and then. Clearly other stores have no problem with people noting down products for their reference so this whole thing was also kind of suspicious. So bottom line keep in mind that the doctor at this place is great but the sales person is really rude and a bit shady. He doesn’t seem to grasp the concept of good customer service at all.

This place is corrupt! I reported them to the better business bureau. They want your money and have horrendous customer service. They refused to sign my rx and after requesting it the guy upfront called me an idiot. Avoid this place at all cost!!! I’d rather go blind!

Yikes… SCARYPLACE! I have never been to an eye doctor that was so strange and so rude at the same time. He was cocky, didn’t seem to have my best interest in mind and was outright condescending. He numbed my eyes(without telling me that was what the drops would do) and told me to dab them. I did dab them and I guess it was too much dabbing for him because he said, «I said dab, which was a specific instruction without room for interpretation. If you keep dabbing you will take all they drops away!» I am a pretty assertive person but when you are stuck in a very small room with a doctor who has just numbed your eye balls, it is hard to know what to say or do. In hindsight I should have told him to F– off!

Quick service on exam and glasses being ready at the shop. Nice selection of frames. Adjusting frames or prescription as need. Some hiccups occurred that were satisfactorily handled. Adequate customer service. Contact me for the truth!

This place is bad news. Unfriendly and Inefficient service. I had an exam for contact lenses about 4 months ago. I still do not have contacts. At the time of my exam nothing about Visualeyes was particularly off-putting. It was just a little bizarre optical shop with a slightly grumpy demeanor. The Optometrist gave me two pairs of lenses to try. On my follow up I told him that I found neither pair to be very comfortable. His response was that they are contacts and you are going to be able to feel them. I have worn contacts for 15 years! I have had comfortable contacts before. He was hesitant to order more trial lenses. But eventually he did. I was told I would not need a follow up appt. I could just drop by at my convenience to order the lenses I prefer. I have been back 5 times. Either the doctor is not in or there is a note on the door or there are overbooked appts in front of me. I would much rather make an appt so I don’t go out of my way or miss anymore work simply to order my lenses. Beyond frustrated. I will be taking my prescription somewhere else.

I find their customer service in need of improvement. I’d like their sales associates to be warmer and friendlier. With that said, I have used Visualeyes for several years; they have filled at least 6 prescriptions of me. I work with a behavioral optometrist and my prescription changes more often than most. I’ve had no problem with my prescriptions. When I’ve needed additional assistance they have been helpful. At one point, my Silhouette frames broke and they replaced them without question given that the frames were not supposed to break. On another occasion, my frames came apart at the nose piece and they repaired my glasses without question or charge. I do find their sales associate do vary. There is a female in her 50’s who has been very helpful while one younger associate less so. When their customer service is consistent between associates and warms up, I will definitely give them a 4 or 5.

I was completely ignored for the first 5 minutes upon entering the store, while the worker sat on the phone and decided not to ackknoledge me. When I was finally greeted, the witch was very rude, and cold. She talked in a condescending manner and quoted me an eye exam at $ 55, when I was previously informed it would cost $ 40 from a third party source. When I informed her of what I was previously informed she then agreed to the $ 40 charge, which seemed odd that she was that quick to accept the price change. Needless to say it was a sour experience and I will not set foot in there again, nor will I reccomend them to other parents needing eye exams for their children. I would give them a –0 if it were possible.

I brought in a pair of broken glasses that I did not buy here hoping to get some help putting them together. The woman behind the counter spent 15 minutes fixing them and double checked her work. She was friendly, patient, thorough and competent. I’ve never bought glasses here or had an exam from them… so I can’t speak to that aspect of their business. That said, I had a positive experience here today and would recommend Visualeyes.

I was very disappointed in my whole experience here, the exam was ok, although I found Dr. Fernando Mosqueda arrogant and condescending. I intended to use my insurance to get one pair of the 2 pairs of glasses I ordered, since it meant the first pair were virtually at no cost. My plan was that I could the return later to get a better pair of frames and sunglasses and use the free insurance pair as a spare. However when I came to choose frames, the doctor pointed to box on the floor and told me I could choose a pair from in there and left! I was made to feel as though I was not worth his time since I was not buying fancy designer frames. Needless to say I will not be my new glasses from there. The receptionist was very nice and helpful but it did not make up for his rudeness.

I am sorry to say that I can’t recommend this office. I was treated quite rudely after asking for my contact prescription. The doctor didn’t want me ordering them online, but through him, which would cost me more. They ended up throwing in some freebies so I got a good deal in the end, but I felt bullied into it. Despite my experience I recommended them to my husband, mom and sister. They all reported similar experiences. I would think customer service would be a higher priority to them. I will not be returning for my next round of contacts, or the glasses and sunglasses that I will be buying this year.
