We settled in for a quiet dinner — we were the only customers in the place aside from takeout customers. The service was great. I had the wonton soup, which was very good, and we split a few rolls of sushi. The ginmiya roll(shrimp, cream cheese, salmon, fly fish roe, avocado, sauce), admittedly deep-fried, was my favorite, but I enjoyed them all.

We ordered from Ginmiya on ¾/15. Reasonable prices, the food was on par with most other Chinese take-out, and the delivery was fast(despite being in the middle of a snowstorm that was so bad that even Domino’s and Papa John’s stopped delivering).

I am in from out of town for work and was starving for some asian cuisine. I happened to see a menu for this place at the hotel I am staying at so I gave it a shot. Very clean, very nice staff, and great food. Going to try the sushi next time. Pretty nice selection of food and prices are good for what you are served. Very pleased.

Takeout sushi was pretty awful. Ordered the lunch special with 5 pieces of nigiri and one california roll. I love love love fresh tuna but I literally had to spit this out it tasted so bad. Horrible flavor. I did get hot and sour soup with my lunch tho and that was pretty tasty. If you want cheap sushi that tastes better. head across the street to Schnucks. lol

I just dined in and had the stir fry bento box. It was delicious! It was the perfect amount of food and a decent price, My bill was $ 9.67. Thank you cousin for suggesting this place to me.

We ordered some sushi and had it delivered. It was terrible. The texture and taste was blah. It was if they forgot to add the sauce that makes everything go together. Will not order again.

Really wanted to like this place, as my husband said the people were super nice. We got take-out sushi, and in a word: blech. Some of the worst we’ve ever had. Bad texture, no flavor. Absolutely hate spending hard earned money on a disappointing meal. We’re pretty spoiled on good sushi, and are searching for a good place since moving here. Roppongi is pretty good, and our favorite so far. However, they have slim pickings on choices, since I am gluten free, and all the places here seem to thrive on deep-fried maki or those containing krab, aka fake crab meat, which contains wheat. Still searching for a good place with fresh, real fish. Word.

I almost hesitate to write this because this restaurant is so good I’d rather keep it to myself. But I’ve eaten alot of sushi in my life and at some of the best places but Ginmiya was a good sushi restaurant, both service and sushi were so good. In my opinion, best in Evansville. No liquor license(if that means something to you) and only two people servicing the entire restaurant when I was there. Service was warm and friendly and the sushi was playful, inspired and just plain great tasting. Wish they had a sashimi salad, because raw fish was velvety soft and oh so tasty. I will visit you again and everyone else feel free to patronize other establishments while I keep this a secret.

I went here one day after work and got some sushi to go. I was a little nervous because I walked in and there was no one in there. I ordered 4 sushi rolls and was very satisfied. The quality was excellent and for the amount I received, the price wasn’t too horrible. I would definitely recommend eating here. And I will certainly be ack

Took a group of 7 in for my son’s birthday and was so excited to try a new sushi place… so much so, that we drove through a tornado watch to get there! When we arrived I was a bit nervous. The inside décor does NOT scream Asian Fusion. The walls are very blank and the whole place seems a bit cold and drab. The sushi counter had no chef behind it and there was no fish in the cooler. Somewhat odd I thought. I felt like I was at more of a breakfast diner. Minus one star. Having said that, after eating all the dishes we did, that’s the only star I will deduct. Between the 7 of us, we tried the beef teriyaki, lo mein, orange chicken, sweet and sour pork, tuna sashimi, vinegar octopus, the sexy roll, the spider roll and a few other things I cannot recall. Every dish was fantastic and very flavorful. The sashimi and the rolls that we ordered were beautifully plated(refer to pics of rolls I took), as was everything for that matter. The fish on my sexy roll seemed a tad lacking in flavor but delicious nonetheless. Our server, who was 1 of 2 employees in the place, did a wonderful job keeping us satisfied with some great humor added in. Overall I was VERY pleased. A 5 for food(both flavor and presentation) and service but a 3 for atmosphere. For Asian Fusion, the place needs a bit when it comes to décor and warmth. I shall return!

Ginmiya Asian Diner has become my family’s favorite restaurant in Evansville. Ginmiya has everything you’d want from as Asian restaurant. First, their food is absolutely delicious. Every dish is passionately prepared with fresh ingredients, served at the proper temperature, and plated with finesse. Most of their dishes look like a work of art! Second, their staff is terrific. When you go to Ginmiya you are treated as a valued customer. They always go the extra mile to make sure you have a great experience and want to come back. The menu offers plenty of variety so they’re sure to have something for everyone. The dining room and bathrooms are extremely clean. Now that they’ve been around for about six months it seems like they are developing quite a few regulator customers. I’ve seen several people return on more than one occasion. Ginmiya Highlights: — Spring roll — Mushroom soup — Hot & sour soup — Hibachi steak & shrimp — Chicken with broccoli — Mango chicken — Shrimp Udon — Banana spring roll(Dessert) They have an excellent sushi chef. Customers rave about the Hawaiian Roll & Sexy Girl Roll!

Staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Food was served quickly and hot and was extremely artistic! We ordered appetizers, sushi rolls and entrees and were pleased with all. Pricing seemed a little high though as this was not a «high end» establishment. Would likely return. A pseudo complaint was the music– I didn’t expect to hear country in an Asian restaurant.

The«Rock N Roll» and the«Sexy Girl» sushi rolls are DELICIOUS! I seriously have dreams about them. The staff is extremely friendly and the service is fast. The only thing lacking is the décor, but when the food is good, who cares.

Excellent, friendly service and terrific dishes. Hibachi chicken was huge! They’re open late, too. Great, convenient location on North Green River.
