Old white guy taking the orders at the counter has got to be the nicest most patient employee i’ve ever seen at a fast food joint. He’s so helpful to all the customers. I love taco johns and today begins my 2 week spree of overeating here. Yay!

I am so happy to find Taco John’ location in Evansville. However, the employees seemed disorganized and also a little slow. No concept of hurrying to serve the customers, just a slow-paced crew. One of the employees was rather sloppily dressed and looked disheveled. His clothes weren’t very clean. Not what you want to see when someone is preparing your food. Not Taco John’s best location.

Cheese consistency was similar to nacho cheese — not how I prefer my quesadillas. Everyone else was happy with their food. Quick service, clean, plenty of seating for small or large groups.

A welcome alternative to Taco Bell. The food here isn’t more expensive than Taco Bell – the portions are just larger. Well run restaurant. I’ll be back.

I’ve missed Taco John’s ever since the one in Bloomington closed several years ago. My wife has great memories of going to the one in her dorm. Decided to grab a bite here to go down memory lane. Super authentic? Well, not exactly. But tasty. Taco and Tater Tots, what’s not to like? This location is very clean and the staff was fast and friendly. I was surprised at how tasty the churro was, though I admit I’m no churro expert.

Taco John’s is a good Mexican fast food option. I generally get the Super Burrito and some potato oles, but the Grilled Burritos are good too. Since I’m a vegetarian, I usually sub beans for the beef, and the staff are all very accommodating, and always get my order right. Their sauces are nothing to write home about, the ‘hot’ is definitely not spicy at all, but I generally just use my own stash of hot sauces at home to spice things up a bit.
