Sorry to say. Nice view of the lake, friendly staff but gross food. Ordered the chicken and mushroom risotto. The chicken was so hard to cut that I had to ask for a steak knife. When I finally cut into it, the chicken was crunchy! Yuck! Had to wait forever after I sent my food back to get the bill. No one apologized for the inedible dinner. I won’t be coming back.

I don’t mind paying $ 18 for a salad, but please make it worth my while… A few years back I came to Emorys and was treated with respect, each member of the staff was smiling and friendly. I am beyond disappointed to say that this is no longer the case. About 10 minutes after we sat down a woman slid 2 glasses of water down our table without a word and stormed off. As time passed I came to the conclusion that nobody would be coming to tend to us, as my husband and I started to get up from the table our waitress FINALLY showed up. No apology, drab personality, just a real shell of a waitress. After ordering our food she mentioned she would bring us some warm bread, 7 minutes later… here is some more water… oh and I’ll bring some bread… another round of oh I’ll get the bread. THENSERIOUSLY, the lady from earlier who slid our glasses of water like a bartender from a reality TV show pops in with a some bread… and YEP you guessed it, SLAM then SLIDE. The woman should really look into joining a shuffleboard league. This was a bad experience to say the least, you could not pay me to come back. — I forgot to mention that my husband asked for no bean sprouts in his salad. Well that didn’t happen. I apparently FORGOT to ask for no broken shells tossed in with my clams, haha lucky for me I didn’t chip a tooth.

I was really hoping to get the in-laws and parents out of the regular go to dinner spots and try this nice place on the water. Well I have to say, we will not be coming back :( It took about 25 minutes just to get our order in, then about 45 minutes for salads and another 30 for food. We spent 2 hours just having dinner. And not anything special(they were out of the Cod at 530 pm have you know). 2 dinners of pork chops — ok cooked with good salsa, 1 baked potato not fully baked and too crunchy. 1 oyster with rice. Good tasting. 1 deep fried shrimp and side salad. Nicely done. 1 seafood salad, a lot of lettuce and not enough seafood. 1 Roast beef sandwich, wow a lot of bread is all I can say about that. This was a long and pricey evening. I think we could have had a lot better at many other places. I enjoy seafood, but with the snail service and mediocre food, will get the seafood and steaks elsewhere.

This review is for a reservation I made on Mother’s Day 2016. I made the reservation about 2 and half weeks prior — over the phone. They called me about 2 days before to confirm my reservation. Although I lived in Everett for the longest time & passed by this restaurant numerous times — this was my first time in. I don’t know what it looked like before the fire that shut them down a while back but I will say that interior now is super cute. A great ambience — that’s for sure. The only CON is that parking is at a minimum — I don’t think they have parking enough for everyone at the restaurant. They do offer Valet parking. FYI. They have outdoor seating — a fireplace & overhead heaters make it so that you don’t get too cold during the WA winters. They had little screens that come down so that the outdoor seaters won’t be bother by insects from the lake or the sun if it gets too sunny. The seating wasn’t packed — they left a ton of room between tables(a lot of restaurants don’t do this — they capitalize on the space) The bar had a TV as well as around the inside — so if there is a game — you’d be well informed — always a PLUS! Even with reservations — we had to wait about 5 mins — no biggie. As soon as we were seated they took our drink orders. For a «fancy» place — their menu had a variety. A lot of restaurants that compare have about 2 pages if that. They had 3 – 4. I ordered the Chicken San Remo with Mushroom Risotto Florentine which was chicken breast medallions with seasoned flour sautéed in olive oil with shallots(if you know me, though I am a vegetarian — I just order it as is because it will cost the same.), capers, sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms, lemon and white wine; risotto with fresh mushrooms and spinach. The chicken breast comes whole — not stringy & combined into the risotto — so it was easily passed to someone who ate meat at my table. I also got dessert — the crème brulee — it was alright — I consider myself a crème brulee expert(wink wink) All in all — a great first visit! BTW; this would be a good place to have a private event– The Wedding & Event Planner in me kicking in.

Decided to try Emory’s since they had a solid Unilocal presence. The ambiance is rich and classy. The seating is defiantly catered to the beautiful Silver Lake. The enclose patio is super comfortable on a cold rainy day. No need for a sweatshirt. The wine menu is extensive and had some local beers on tap. Started the meal off with the Calamari. This was very tasty and a plate full for the price. My wife had the fish n chips and I had the garlic buttered French dip. Both were very good and portioned for an appetite. See pictures. Can’t wait to go back on a sunny day to hit up the open deck.

Oy. This used to be a gem. Came for happy hour with my parents and ordered the pizza margarita(incredibly bland), the French onion soup(meh) and the chicken pot stickers(good). The part that is frustrating is they literally neglected the dish pile up on our table for 30 minutes. I actually started putting dishes on the floor because there was simply no room. I could understand if we were seated in the back corner of the patio but we were across from the service station.

Sunday funday happy hour is 2−6pm so we decided to take advantage of it by sitting by Silver Lake enjoying the weather. We requested for outdoor seating and they accommodated us to one of the tables underneath the umbrella because we were offered a direct-sun table and boyyyy was I starting to sweat. Food we ordered one of the specials: shellfish tower that had avocados with Dungeness crabs with bay shrimps, pineapple mango salsa and wonton crisps(3⁄5 rating because we didn’t really get much seafood as avocados). The rest of the meal we ordered the Caesar salad, the margarita pizza, tequila lime penn cove mussels and a couple of the huckleberry kamikaze! Brian, our server was very attentive and friendly. We asked for crushed red peppers for the pizza and peppercini which came out really quick. The environment was relaxing. Water was always filled every 5 minutes. I can’t say enough that this place is truly a great happy hour joint with great service!

The views from the balcony of his restaurant is amazing. It’s so pretty looking over the lake while eating. The food is delicious, very pleased every time. The service is off and on sometimes, however. His first time I visited we had three different people serving us and they didn’t communicate with each other. The second time I visited, my meal came before my appetizer and my friend hadn’t received any of her food. But I would still recommend this place, always pleased with the food, and the ambiance is really relaxing.

Decided to give this place another try and we are SO glad we did. For those who don’t know this place burned down many years ago. My husband and I tried it twice after it was rebuilt and the food was very poor. Something has definitely changed in the last 2 years since we’ve been there. Food: I had the smoked salmon fettuccine and my husband the beef bourguignon. Both were excellent especially the beef which has to be great since I never eat beef. The sauce was fantastic. Lackluster caesar salad(poor romaine and not enough dressing) but the appetizer crab cakes were great. Atmosphere: This is where it shines. They had a nice band, not too loud but fun playing and the building itself is beautiful. Service: Well, my husband said she was fine… I found her to be a bit underwhelming and the bus service was non existent. All in all its not great but its local, good food, nice music and a pleasant location for a Friday night date. Now we will go back for brunch.

Really disappointed: the food was just Ok. Chicken was dry & hard to chew. Everything was way over salted. I mean it was passable, but not enjoyable. It has dishes that you’d find at Cab Pot and Ivar’s, but a bad version of those places. The setting was nice and still on the newish side, so no complaints here. The waitress was OVERLY excited and loud — obviously working her way on getting good tip. Well, that was it, she didn’t get it because of her actions & well, the not the best food. We will not be coming back. Can’t understand why this place is packed most of the time. Absolutely NOTHING special.

I’ve been to Emory’s a handful of times for their happy hour, which I love. Atmosphere is top notch, very cozy and inviting. On warmer days I spend my happy hour sitting outside enjoying the sunshine and water, and on chillier afternoons I’m content to admire the view from inside. So. I finally decided to brave the dinner crowds on a weekend for date night. Dinner service was excellent, even on a busy Friday evening. We were seated and taken care of after a short wait, and while our waiter wasn’t particularly warm or friendly, he was efficient. My water glass never went empty, and there were plenty of servers around in case we needed anything. However, after blowing my way through the entire happy hour menu and getting to appreciate both interior and exterior ambiance, I was pretty let down by my first(probably last) dinner. I ordered some crab cakes as an appetizer, and while they were alright, they weren’t as fresh or tasty as I would have expected; I tasted more of a muddled seafood mix than actual fresh crab. The tangy sauce saved those crab cakes for me. For my entrée, I ordered the American Kobe Bourguignon, and my SO had the Lake House Bistro Steak. The demi-glacé — which my beef was drowning in — was way, way too thick and salty, and the red wine was too prominent. I was really disappointed. My SO enjoyed his rare steak, but it never occurred to us to ask which market vegetables were being served that evening… and of course, it happened to be asparagus, the one veggie my SO loathes. Poor guy didn’t even get to enjoy fresh greens with his meal. All in all, I’ll be back — but only for happy hour.

It’s been a little while since I’ve been to Emory’s, but my husband took me here a while back for a date night. We were pleased with our experience. The menu has some delicious choices, though not a huge variety. The service was great and the location is excellent. It is right on the lake, so the view is very nice. They have a nice wine menu as well. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a place to go for a special night out.

We went here for an Xmas work dinner. The restaurant is beautiful and it has great atmosphere. Some of the group arrived early and was seated right away. That was pretty nice even though we still had to wait for the rest of the party. We were told our reservation wouldn’t be ready till after 7. We ordered some drink and honestly they were so watered down you couldn’t even tell what you ordered. The waitress seemed have a bad evening because she wasn’t very present to the table. The food was amazing tho. I had the chicken picatta with mushroom risotto. I have a wicked sweet tooth and so when I saw key lime pie on the dessert menu I thought I went to heaven. Turns out the dessert tasted more like graham crackers and sugar and nothing like key lime. I was very disappointed. When our bill finally arrived, it turned out that the waitress added extra charges to my bill and couldn’t take it off. I was also very unhappy to see that a tip was added without me approving it. They had these mechanical payment systems that If you weren’t paying attention, you’d miss it. I would like to decide how much to tip, not be told. Overall it was a good experience but way over priced. If it’s not a special occasion I probably won’t go back.

This was our first time there but decided it was a safe bet with so many great reviews. Add one more to the list. We made reservations and were glad we did. The food is great, the staff is friendly and attentive and the price is very reasonable for what you get. Not to mention, it’s on the lake so it’s perfect for a nice romantic night out with your significant other. We had the crab cakes and they were delicious. We were only caught off guard by one thing– due to the growing popularity of this place they don’t have enough parking although they have hired valet service to take care of that. Don’t forget to bring cash to tip them. They are great. This was our first time but it will definitely not be our last.

First time here and I thought the restaurant was beautiful. The only issue I had was that our waitress was lacking attention at our table. It took her quite some time to approach us, and we had to wait for her a couple of times but as far as the food goes, it was delicious. Started with martinis, calamari appetizer(very good and healthy portion) Caesar salad was good(not over dressed) Top sirloin steak(cooked to perfection) and burnt crème… can’t go wrong there. Very nice night we had.

My dedication to seafood never fails. Emorys has a great plethora of seafood with a MASSIVE wine selection. However, its definitely on the expensive side. My S. O had salmon and a glass of wine while i enjoyed crab cakes and a beer(best cakes I have ever eaten). The bill was upwards of $ 70… but the amount of food we received wasnt comparable. The TLDR version; Great food and massive wine selection, expensive for the amount of food you get.

Destination? Dinner! Entertainment! Relaxation Emory’s has wonderful bands(Yay for Davanos and Secondhand Newz… can’t wait for them to book Lou Echeverri and 5 Decades of Hits or Chester Dennis Jones or The Guy Johnson Band) They have GREAT service… free valet parking, on site business owner hosting at the front of the house, super attentive staff who are bound and determined to get you drinks. Food is served in generous portions… my favorite is the tuna poke. I love the atmosphere… a trifecta of perfecta… soaring ceilings, gorgeous windows, and the showpiece itself: Silver Lake. The drinks aren’t strong… but the wine pours are generous… so pick your level of relaxation

I am usually satisfied with the level of service that I receive here; however, through my last experience I was not so pleased. It was my boyfriends’ and my date night out, and we decided to go to emory’s. Everything seemed to go great, but after ordering my food, the server comes back and tells me that the item is no longer being served on the menu… Well if it’s not being served anymore then why is it still on the menu? So I ended up changing my order to something else, to only again have the server come back to tell me that the item was no longer on the menu. At this point I’m a little irritated… For a restaurant of this stature then why can they not keep up with the items on the menu or change their menu’s if something is no longer being served? No one should have to go to a restaurant and order THREE different times! Other wise, the server was very nice.(Hence the 3 star)

Good service on the patio, but mediocre service when greeted. We ate here($ 300 dollar tab) on Tuesday evening on the patio and the server was great. Food was great, but the«greeter» at the front(young lady with glasses) did not have the skills I would expect from a mid-end restaurant such as this. The ambiance was nice and the bartender was also very cool.

My husband and I live near-ish by, and we are also building a home in the Silver Lake area, but had never been to Emory’s — oh the shame! This past Friday, we decided to finally hit them up for Happy Hour. We arrived around 5pm, and as I am sure is normal during the summer here, their parking lot was PACKED. We drove past their complimentary valet to park our own vehicle, and got lucky with a spot right out front of the restaurant. When we entered Emory’s, the restaurant didn’t look nearly as busy as the parking lot would indicate, but due to the gorgeous weather the patio WAS packed. We(shockingly) had no problem getting a patio table closest to Silver Lake. The hostess seated us with menus and immediately brought us water, which was genuinely appreciated. Our server, Chris, came to greet us soon after to take our drink orders. We decided to stick to the happy hour menu each ordering a well drink. We ended up having two(whiskey &7up), because at $ 4.50, the drinks were strong and excellent! We pondered the menu and I decided to have the chicken potstickers and fried green beans. My hubby, who was in the middle of some dental work, opted to start with a bowl of their chowder. The appies came within about 15 – 20 minutes, which allowed us just enough time to sip and enjoy our cocktails and keenly anticipate our food. The potstickers, which I can only assume to be commercially made, were good. There were 6 – 8 of them on a plate, garnished with baby greens and a sweet-and-tangy sesame-flecked sauce. The green beans were served in a cute«deep fryer» basket with a side of spicy mayo. Both appies were surprisingly satisfying, but the potstickers were definitely the better deal. My husband enjoyed his bowl of chowder, which at $ 5.50 was a very good price. It was chock-full of seafood and had a unique tang to it — do they use buttermilk? I’m not sure, but it was good. Chris was kind enough to remind us of «last call» for Happy Hour, so we ordered 1 more drink each and a final appy of calamari. Unfortunately, the calamari didn’t excite either of us as much as our original starters. While there was a plentiful supply of the calamari, it was swimming in oil. The batter was not sticking to the calamari, and it was leaning toward the chewy side of things. We didn’t complain simply because we wouldn’t have wanted a replacement anyways. That said, I am going to dock 1 star from this review because the calamari just wasn’t up to snuff. When we were ready for our tab, Chris was prompt to process the transaction — and also gave us an Emory’s card($ 25GC for every $ 250 spent) to get points on for each visit we have. Would I be back? Definitely. I would come early like we did this past Friday, and probably avoid the calamari.

Cool-looking place with a nice view of the lake. The atmosphere is somewhat tainted by lite jazz, however. Also, our waitress had the demeanor of a shy 14-year old who is forced to be nice to the relatives. Three of our party of five, including me, had the filet mignon, cooked medium. All three steaks were slightly undercooked. Also, they place the meat on a crostini, which is soggy by bite two. The demi-glacé tasted fine, but actually could have been teriyaki sauce. The baked potato was perfectly-cooked, but instead of leaving the sour cream, bacon bits, and chives at the table, the waitress awkwardly garnishes your tater for you. So get it right. The plate also includes asparagus and broccolini, which was the best part of the ensemble. By the way, the 14-year old never came back to check on how the steaks were cooked. Grandpa had the crab cakes(with shredded coconut) and said they were good. Kid had a plain burger, and said the same. Lots of fries. Add to that one glass of wine and a cup of coffee(we were water drinkers on a hot day), and it came to $ 106 before tip.

Came here for my 60th Birthday, I’d been driving by it for years. It’s a nice venue with a lovely view of the lake. The service was professional and pleasant. Our server Cortez was attentive and knowledgable. Our drinks appears magically fast. The selection of food was impressive and i did the house steak with asparagus and mash potatoes with a Caesar salad to start it off. I asked for a medium and indeed the steak was a little pink inside, just the way I like it. Everything was savory and delicious. Dinner for two with a white russian chaser was $ 65 with a 15% tip. It’s a lot more than we normally spend but hey, it was my birthday and they were treating us like royalty. We didn’t spill the beans that it was my birthday. :)

I’ve been dying to try Emory’s since I moved to WA. My bf and I drive by it all the time on our way to Costco/Winco hehe. We dropped by around 630pm on a Tuesday night — the place was pretty empty. The hostess asked if we wanted indoor or patio seating and if it wasn’t so windy that day I totally would have done outdoor patio! The restaurant itself is really cute and large. The food wasn’t amazing and pretty expensive for the Everett area :(. Bf had the french dip and we thought it was alright, $ 16 for maybe 10 inches of a sandwich and fries. I liked the au jus sauce though. I had the capellini with prawns and scallops($ 25) which was alright. I had 4 prawns total in the pasta and, although they were large, I wish there was a few more. I didn’t really care for the scallops in my dish. Overall I liked Emory’s and but would come back for happy hour only.

It was happy hour! Yay! I ordered Cte. St. Michelle Cabernet and it was perfect. I ordered a burger(with bacon) and I wish that the waiter had asked how I liked it cooked… I prefer it medium. It was definitely well-done, but since I didn’t ask, it was ok! I loved that it came on a ciabatta bun. The service was 5 stars, really friendly, attentive waiter and other staff! It was the second time I had come to Emory’s but I will always suggest it to meet with friends.

Here’s what I LOVE about Emory’s: locally owned, SnoCo family operated. High quality ingredients, stellar service, aesthetically modern NW atmosphere with views. What I don’t like: Is the Friday nite live music. I’m a regular patron and a on one visit my husband noticed an advertisement for live music, in the bar. We decided to come back the following week to partake. The music was so loud coming from the bar, even though we were seated in the regular(family) portion of the restaurant. I developed an awful headache during the dinner and couldn’t enjoy my spirits, as I needed to take pain medicine. I left a tad disappointed that one night only, but happily carried my Emory’s tinfoil duck home with leftovers to enjoy the next day.
