We stopped here later in the night after going to bothell. It is located in a strip mall. There were literally no people in there, I guess it’s normal for Mill Creek? Anyways I got the Mill Creek wheat. It was a pretty run of the mill beer, no pun intended. I’m sure a Blue Moon is about the same, if not slightly better. Since we were the only people in there, service was fast.

Never been to McMenamins before, kind of thought it would be nicer, didn’t realize so many children would be there yelling, standing on seats or playing with Transformers. The décor and furniture is cheap and the carpet was dirty. Burgers and beer was good, I’d go back for that if not for the atmosphere.

Terrible, the owners need to close it! It most definitely doesn’t meet the standards of other McMenamins we’ve eaten at and actually gives them a bad rap. We’ve been here twice and it has not improved. It’s been a few months and I don’t remember what we ordered, but we both we not pleased… the description and what we got did not match, or we simply misinterpreted what we thought we would get. Taste wasn’t anything to rave about. Don’t remember the service but I don’t think we left a very large tip.

Stopped by Sunday afternoon. Service was good, food was so so. Typical pub style food but you can find better of anything they offer nearby. Will come back and enjoy their beer selection but will pass up on the food.

Awful service. We were completely ignored since the very moment we stepped in. We even had to grab the menus ourselves. The waitress noticed us and said she would be with us in a sec. Never happened. After patiently waiting, we left the place while the manager was giving us a «thank you guys» — totally clueless about what happened. Really? Gross. The place wasn’t even crowded.

Always quality. Not the speediest place but that’s okay with me, more conversation is a good thing.

Great beer and very convenient to my home. The bartenders on duty late at night are very friendly. The only down side is the horrible music blasting from the kitchen that is so loud that it competes with the regular sound system, very unprofessional.

Was talking on the phone for an hour outside and when I walked in the bartender, Evan, said he was glad I finally came in. Good lookin out! AWESOME double IPA! Great service! Can’t believe this is the first McMenamins I’ve been in after 6 months in Portland!

This is one of my very favorite dinner and drinks locations in the north end. The atmosphere isn’t as funky as the location near Seattle Center, but it’s still got that neighborhood, sort of quirky vibe that I love. Their happy hour specials are amazing. The food is consistently good, the bartenders make awesome cocktails, the beer is tasty, and the staff are friendly. What more can you ask for?

It’s a McMenamins. I don’t know what else to say – it’s just like every other McMenamins in the Seattle/Portland area. The menu is the same, the beers are the same the atmosphere is the same. If you’re in Mill Creek and want a McMenamins beer which I have twice in 3 or 4 years, stop on in. If you like McMenamins in other areas, you will like this one too. If not, you won’t.

Number one. Best totts you could find anywhere. Number two, all of the sandwiches are incredible you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Even the TNT basKet is really original tasting and delicious. Number three, their original beers are great. Also, you have to get the pulled pork sandwich if you come here. And one last thing, their ranch has a super incredible/original taste. Been here many times. Don’t understand the low rating on here.

I kept hearing about the tots, over and over with«the tots are perfection», «you’re gonna love the tots» and«seriously, one of these days I’ll take you there and you’ll understand. Because tots.» My husband made good on his promise. And tots. Yeah. Try the tots. The atmosphere is casual and fun, the staff is friendly and outgoing. The whole family enjoys going, and yes, we all get the tots.

We love walking here on a nice day for a pint and happy hour snacks. I’d only suggest to have more vegetarian options or to make the few options less greasy. It is a pub so greasy pub food is to be expected but they use a little too much oil or butter on the sandwiches. I’d love a simple mozz, tomato and spinach sandwich lightly toasted with no butter. Maybe being picky. Still love this place. Love their beer!

The beer is great ! The wait staff is very good. But you will never see any of the bartenders buy you a drink! No matter how much you spend or time spent going there. Always leave a good tip. You will never hear, Hey, we got this one! Thanks!!!

Stopped by to get our passport stamps, eat dinner and to rest on our journey home from Victoria B.C. Expensive for a Mcminamins. Don’t come on a Sunday because chances are they’ve not only run out of their soup special(at 6pm), they’ve run out of burgers(!). Waiting on that Monday delivery, apparently. Those who show up on Sunday be damned! First time here and the food was pretty bad. We ordered the TNT basket and the chicken was burnt. My kid’s hotdog had grill marks that looked like someone took black paint and drew them on. However, I understand that they were short staffed in the kitchen tonight due to an accident with their other cook. So, I’ll give a pass on the food. On the plus, friendly, apologetic, staff. And it’s a Mcminamins, so decent music and good beer.

Beer as always, solid. Love it. Service was also good. The happy hour preztel and Cajun tots. Great! But 3.50 for a 3 bite pulled pork slider. Was ridiculous, even for a happy hour food item. Seriously this«slider» was tiny. I mean, I know sliders arent full sized sandwiches, but, this was tiny and not worth it. It had more sauce and slaw than meat. So we paid 3.50 for a bun and sauce. We heard from our server that the«mini» hamburger was about the same size for 4.50. Glad we didn’t order that!

No. The service was average and the food was terrible. They brought out the wrong burger the first time, and it was burnt to a crisp(I asked for med/well). When I informed them they’d gotten the order wrong, I asked for my replacement burger to be medium. The next was nearly as burnt, and just as bland. I had to ask THREE times for a side of ranch. The final bill for a burger and soda was $ 18.25. Ouch. I wonder if anyone ever comes here twice.

Not my favorite McMenamins by any means… it’s sort of like a McMenamins that’s been yuppied up due to the clientele that lives in the area(no offence intended). With that being said, the food was good(I recommend trying one of their burgers or their pork sliders), the beer was flowing(I personally like their seasonal cider), and the service was better than average. I have three real issues with this place: 1. The décor is LAAAAME compared to EVERY other McMenamins I’ve been to, and I’ve been to a lot. Yeah, I know, it’s in a strip mall; but seriously?! You can do better! 2. They tried passing feta cheese for cheese curds in their poutine(Yes, you’re reading what I said correctly). As a poutine aficionado,(or even as someone who has two eyes and has eaten poutine before), the substitution was laughable at best(and insulting at worst). Needless to say, I wasn’t «wowed.» 3. Their black and tan brownie with bourbon caramel sauce is not even close to being as good as it is at other locations. Not sure why that is(I’m assuming they make them all from the same recipe), but we’ve ordered it several times now, just to make sure the first time wasn’t a fluke, and both times it was mediocre at best. Other than those three things, this place is pretty much like most of other McMenamins venues. If you’re in the area, it’s definitely worth stopping by.

I am conflicted in writing this review. Let’s start with the good things. The beer is pretty good. They have all of the usual McMenamin’s offerings, BUT I highly recommend the Black Widow Stout(seasonal) and the Blackberry Cider. Any cider is amazing, but the blackberry is just pure happiness in a glass. The location is OK. It’s in a strip mall, which is weird for a McMenamins, but it’s a convenient location so whatevs. The pork slider is freaking AMAZING. They put some kind of special sauce(mayo) which gives it the perfect flavor. And finally, the service was great. Our server was friendly, attentive, and did a great job. Now for the bad. The food, other than the Cajun Tots and Pork Slider is just eh, which is a bummer because ll other McMenamins have pretty decent pub food! The hummus plate(which is usually really good!) was eh. The hummus was lacking that usual garlic flavor. Instead it was bland. But I think that the biggest issue was the«poutine.» It arrived at our table and had so many things wrong, that any Canadian would be pissed off. First, it had a tiny bit of gravy. But the biggest cardinal sin was that they tried to pass off clumps of FETA as cheese curds. Um, ew, and no. We sent it back and said that this is not poutine, and those are not cheese curds. Turns out that the kitchen was using Feta instead of curds since they ran out… which explains why the food here is Eh. I’s highly recommend drinking beer/cider and eating cajun tots and pork sliders. Eat anything else at your own risk.

Met a couple of friends here before attending another engagement for a quick brew. Parking is free in a private lot. Discover is an accepted form of payment. Tabs are easily split. A great outdoor seating area is offered with several tables. Each table is equipped with a large umbrella for those who do not like to sit directly in the sunshine. There was a small fire stove to help ward off the chill in the cooler evenings. The outdoor area appeared to be family friendly since I seen a few families with kids seated. Although the seating was family friendly, happy hour was still offered. Love that! Happy Hour runs daily from 3pm-6pm then again at 10pm-close. I ordered a couple pints of Hammerhead for $ 4(hh). Tasty brew. Reminded me a bit of Manny’s. My girlfriends ordered the Ruby brew and stated that it tasted like grapefruit. For a quick snack we ordered some Cajun Tots for $ 2.50(hh). The tots were plentiful, crispy and deliciously seasoned. Ranch was served as a dipping sauce. We went with the spicy mustard seed mustard that our waitress recommended instead. Great recommendation! Thanks for the quick pit stop and refreshing slurps McMenamin’s!

I still love this place. My husband and I go here at least once a week, for their late night happy hour. The food is reasonable priced and all kinds of good beer, wine and well cocktail drinks. The happy hour hummus is my favorite; pita, hummus, fresh veggies. Our usual waitress is Erin and she is the best! Great service and she is always attentive. We love coming here. A must if you are in the area.
