Yesterday I stopped by Mr Cuts and the barber said he was booked up for the day. He said he could get me in the next day. I told him I was getting married the next day so that wouldn’t work. He said come back at 6pm. Although he closes at 6pm he would fit me in.
Maurice is a gentleman. His shop is old school barber cool. He is a great conversationalist. The type of guy you feel like you’ve known your whole life. He makes you feel welcome and isn’t rushing to get you out the door. And staying open for me cause I was getting married the next day was far beyond my expectations.
The cut was exactly what I wanted. Something you won’t get from the ten buck barbers in town. $ 20.00 is twice what I normally pay. But I’ll be back. It wasn’t just a haircut. It was an experience. I found my new barber. And I look fresh for my wedding today. If you get a chance, try this place out. You won’t be disappointed.

Maurice is the man. Decided to try him out when my haircut guy was out of town for the weekend and I badly needed a cut. I drove around his shop long ago before, but there were too many heads in there so I opted not to. Good thing I decided to just go for it this time around. Maurice is a cool dude and his shop is small, which is nice. He’s a one man show and does exactly what you ask and makes sure you are satisfied with the cut. Moving from Oregon, it took me awhile to find a barber that could just do what I ask one time and remember the next time I go in! Barbershop talk is always good for the soul and you can find it at Mr. Cuts.
He takes appointments too which is also a plus!

I agree with the other reviewers: Best cuts in Washington. If you want to be noticed because your haircut is clean and sharp, this is where you should go.
By appointment only, and cash only. Worth every penny and then some. The ladies know a good cut when they see one and you will too when they check you out.

Best shop in town! Maurice tends to get busy so its best to make an appointment. Maurice has be cutting my since his barber school days. He takes his time to make sure you are looking your best when you leave his chair! He is a stand up guy and his shop is clean. He treats all his kid customers like they are his own. I wouldn’t trust anyone else to cut my hair.

Good experience. Spends quality time with the customer and not rushed to get to the next person in line. Maurice has many yearsexperience as a Barber and is easy to talk with. He is concerned with getting the hair cut right and asks up front about details of what you want done.

I would love to give this guy a review, but he opens an hour after all the other barbers in town and since he had such great reviews we thought we would wait until he opened and check him out but he didn’t open at 11 as advertised and when we tried to call it went to VM for a different number than the one we called. So we went elsewhere. Very unprofessional.

Nice fades

Ok. So here’s the skinny… I’ve had 3 people in my life that have ever cut my hair. This is something I am very anal about and I would hope more people feel the same way. I always do a skin to bald fade and I should never see a LINE to separate my fade. This guy can handle his business. I’ve been coming here for little over 2 years now and I have never had a bad cut. If you need to get cleaned up look no further.

Wow, I am so impressed with Maurice. We’re new to the area and last month my boyfriend went to a salon to get his hair cut… and they really made a mess out of his hair. They cut it really short and it was sticking out all over the place. So this month, I decided to find him a barber instead. Mr Cuts is on the way to/​from my bf’s work and Maurice did a great job fixing the salon’s botched haircut. It may take another couple months for my boyfriend’s hair to grow out to the right length again, but I’m really happy he’s found a good barber near our new place.

Best barber I’ve had in quite a while. The basic men’s cut was $ 20, but it’s got the quality of twice that. Maurice took his time, listened to what I wanted, and made sure he did it right. When I saw the cut in the mirror, I agreed that he did a great job. More importantly, my significant other liked it. (I don’t have to see my haircut, but she does — so her opinion is the one that counts!)
Highly recommend, but don’t everyone start going there, because I want to be able to go back!

Thank god I checked out Unilocal before going to my old barber, who although was cheap, the cuts were just too old fashioned and inconsistent. I would end up having to fix his mistakes when I got home and was never really happy with the cut. I checked out the great reviews here on Unilocal and I completely agree with all the positive comments. The owner Maurice is the first ever barber to greet me and introduce himself and ask for my name! He asked all the right questions regarding the type of cut I wanted and went about giving me an excellent one! But what was perhaps the best part of my visit is to how warm and friendly Maurice was and how comfortable he made you feel — like you’ve known him for a long time!
I’m sure he gets busy, but I was fortunate to wait just 30 minutes while he was cutting two people ahead of me. No problem because he has great magazines to browse through — Sports Illustrated, GQ, Men’s Health, etc. The shop itself is no nonsense, he did inform me that he will be re-​locating nearby in about a month. You know I almost decided to keep this great place a secret to avoid the crowd, but this guy deserves the business because he’s so cool and super nice!

I was looking for a good reliable barber after moving down to Everett. Definetly found one. Maurice is the man!
Excellent quality cuts, he’s a perfectionist for sure, and very well priced. Especially for his quality. He makes your visit an experience to look forward to, with his conversation and stories. Customer service is over the top.

I’ve always tried to stay away from barber shops, mostly because in my experience, there’s always one thing that doesn’t come out right.
I briefly moved back into north Everett and needed a barber, and I eventually found Mr. Cuts. Maurice is the man running the show and he does a great job every time! I’ve always looked very sharp after leaving from a hair cut!
At $ 20, it’s definitely more on the expensive side, but it’s always worth it! He takes his time, ensuring your hair doesn’t just satisfy you, but I take it he’s also satisfied with how it came out for you!

I was looking for someone to correct a very poor haircut my grandson received from someone else and read some reviews and found this shop. The man is an artist. I’ve never seen such clipper work. He takes a long time doing it, but who cares? Its perfect.

The guy who runs Mr Cuts does a really nice job in cutting. My boyfriend always comes out looking slick, with not a hair out of place. The only thing is that his hours seem to be a little «flexible» sometimes, especially in the morning. It may be worth calling ahead to make sure the shop is open if you’re planning to go earlier in the day.
With that said though, the cut job is definitely worth it!
