This is an old diner with fabulous food and lots of it. If your looking for fancy go elsewhere. This is the real deal. Soups dressings everything homemade. Even the jam is made there… just be hungry

There was a pubic hair tangled in my omelette. Need I say more. They get one star because they at least comp’d my meal. Now whenever we drive past it we refer to it as ‘Patties Pube Nest’. I shudder at the memory. I have been to other Patties Egg Nest locations in the past and have never had a problem.

Your search for the greatest breakfast joint ever is OVER! Delicious food! Excellent service! Fresh hot strong coffee, and HUGE portions. We have tried to venture out to find other breakfast places that would compare to Patty’s and nothing comes close. We will always come back here, until we are old and gray lol. The quality of food and the service is so consistent. Try the eggs benedict, its to die for…

Very dissatisfied with the price of the chicken fried steak breakfast. I don’t order eggs so I always get an extra biscuit but their idea of a biscuit is a half biscuit so over all I got just one biscuit. Usually I at other Pattie’s egg nest locations you get a whole biscuit with your order then if you substitute eggs for biscuits you get 2 whole biscuits not halfs. To top it off the chicken fried steak was small to top it off. Normally I would rather go to the Pattie’s egg nest on 128th because you get much more portion for the value but I was meeting with some friends for breakfast especially when the meal cost $ 15. Too bad because my friends go to this location but if I go to meet with them I will just get coffee and eat somewhere else next time. This isn’t the first time I had problems with this location. If you order to go make sure they line you to go box with foil otherwise your chicken fried steak with include melted to go foam. Overall I don’t recommend the Chuck Wagon«Pattie’s Eggnest» location what so ever. Super dissatisfied and I have give this location many chances and they let me down everytime. Don’t waste your money at this dive restaurant. Might as well go to McDonald’s because you know you get cheap food at the same quality. Also the place has a horrendous stenchy smell that reminded me of stinky old casino that has been smoked in. They should change the name to the Up Chuck Wagon!!!

Great food, good price, excellent service! Had the chicken fried steak. The batter was the lightest and fluffiest ever with perfectly made eggs and potatoes O’Brien. Hubby had the country benedict with extra crispy hash browns. Just the right amount of sausage gravy covered the perfectly poached eggs, and the hash browns had a delightful crunch to complement the rest of the flavors. The service, especially Linda, was very friendly and prompt. Everyone here pitches in and does what needs to be done, the synergy between the service team is terrific. So with all this great stuff to say, why only four stars? The rear entry way had an offputting smell to it.

It’s a decent breakfast joint but the bacon alone is worth the visit.

We have been to other Patty’s eggnest restaurants so thought we would try the one on Evergreen today. Boy were we disappointed. It smells and it is dirty. It wasn’t very crowded and we got a table right away… which was great because we were so hungry. It took awhile to get the waitress to come over, but she was pleasant enough, though we never talked to her again until I went to the register to pay. It took almost 30 minutes to get our food 10 of which we could see our food on the heating table. The food was still hot but flavorless. No one ever asked if we were ok or needed anything, didn’t even bring us our check. I left a tip but only because I’m nice and it’s Christmas time. I will never go back! They get one star only because the food was still hot.

I’ve been here multiple times and never had a bad meal. The bacon is perfect and eggs Benedict also good. Portions are very generous even if you order off the ‘mini’ breakfast menu you will not go away hungry. This is a regular stop for me.

Good food and laid back diner, whats not to like. Only suggestion is spruce up the men’s restroom, my male friend said it needs alot of attention.

Great breakfast at a reasonable price. Typical American breakfast options. Ordered the belltown and california scramble, both were great and huge portions. Get the Elvis french toast if you go! You will not be disappointed. All and all we really enjoyed this place and will probably become regulars.

My husband and I came to Patty’s Eggnest for brunch today, and were not impressed. It took several minutes of standing by the door for anyone to acknowledge us, and then we were seated by a waitress(Hailey was her name) who didn’t make eye contact or speak to us at all. We then sat for about 15 minutes before someone came and noticed that we’d never been brought waters, and she took our order. Our food came quickly, but it was bland in taste and honestly quite unappealing. The interior is very neglected; the carpet is ripped, the bathrooms are disgusting(broken floor tiles, rusty drains, etc.) there are flies buzzing around and glancing back into the kitchen, it looks gross in there. After we finished eating, it took about 15 minutes for someone to notice that we were done and come take our plates(also, during our meal nobody ever came by to see if we needed refills on drinks, etc.), and then another 15 before someone brought us our check. It was clear that we were forgotten about by the wait staff, and when they did remember that we were there, they were rude! I was very disappointed in the service, food, and atmosphere of the restaurant, next time I’ll take the time to drive to the one in Edmonds.

This lication can be hit or miss with the food. The inside is a bit of a dive. Last time my husband I went the middle of his eggs Benedict was over cooked. And you could taste that they microwaved the bacon. Gross

Is this a 5 star restaurant if it was competing with Zagat-rated restaurants? No — but it’s 5 star for its category, which I would consider to be a greasy spoon dive. You tend to get the best meals out of the sketchier looking places — or atleast I’ve found that. The Chuckwagon(as its signage says) is exactly that — a bit of a dive, but great food, decent prices, and massive portions. After doing a 5k walk this morning in DT Seattle, we headed back to our ‘hood to make up for the calories we burned — and trust me when I say we made up for it. The dining room was packed with Sunday brunchers, so since we were 21+, we went into the bar area. Same food, great service, and hardly a soul in there! Chuckwagon’s breakfast menu is 2 pages long, plus a 1 page feature sheet so there is no shortage of choices. They even have a seniors menu that non-seniors can order off of for just $ 1 more than the senior price. Since I couldn’t ever down a full breakfast on my own, I went for a light portion. I had the standard breakfast — your choice of bacon or sausage link(the thick cut bacon is TODIEFOR), hashbrowns(shredded or O’Brien), 1 egg any style plus a slice of toast. Food came out fast, and was really good. The shredded hashbrowns are insanely buttery on the inside, but golden and crispy on the outside — which is just the way I like them. The bacon rashers are almost like bacon steaks — thick juicy pieces of perfectly cooked, quality bacon. The egg was also fried in butter. Had two of their Bloody Mary’s with breakfast — at $ 5.50 per drink, it was a pretty stiff cocktail that was the perfect celebratory drink post-walk! Go here with expectation of getting huge portions, and you might just end up taking some to go. PS: Their homemade raspberry freezer jam is delicious!

Patty’s has provided that yummy home cooked breakfast goodness for quite a while. They have decent size portions and are quick to serve. The reason for 4 stars compared to 5 is that my favorite was the biscuits and gravy until the past few months, now the biscuits are not homemade tasting and the gravy has NO flavor at all(really really bland.) It is too bad they changed this! I’m now left trying other breakfast items that are not quite hitting the spot. I’m hoping to find a super great replacement but now I’m left with food that is good but not quite there. On the plus side the orange juice is awesome! As a side item the bacon is to die for! The breakfast buffet is also a great choice(but you’ll miss it if you over sleep!) Happy breakfast!

Chuckwagon Inn Food 4 Service 4 Value 4 Ambience/intangibles 5 _____________ Overall 4.25 rounded to 5 for overall experience. After reading some of the reviews we we r e unsure whether to give this place a try, but then we remembered that people are dumb so we came anyway. It was very cool like a still life from a bygone time. The diner was very cool and had a very relaxed non rushed feel. It was filled with regulars that the waitress knew and the whole thing reminded me of childhood breakfasts in then local diner. As for the food it was good as well. Big portions and fresh ingredients paired with a fresh cup of coffee served to make it a memorable breakfast. Nothing here was perfect but this was a case where the whole was greater than the sum of its parts. It may be that the nostalgia factor is skewing my review however we will be back as it was the best breakfast I have had since moving to Washington from Texas.

This place was okay. It wasn’t very appealing on the inside. Looked kind of divey. The pancake was very tasty and very big. Definitely shareable. Eggs were fine. Hashbrowns were not good. Too greasy. The omelet was fine.

If you’re looking for a delicious hole-in-the-wall diner in the Pacific Northwest, meet Patty’s Eggnest @ Chuckwagon Inn. I totally found this place on Unilocal!I was staying in the Everett area for an interview, and I needed some tasty brunch-esque places. I had to narrow my search by what was«Open Now»(since I woke up so late), and I’m so glad I came across this place. Talk about greasy spoon central! Be still my half-beating, myocardial infarction heart! I went with the seasons pumpkin pancakes with bacon, and I substituted country potatoes instead of eggs. Holy shizz! These pancakes were MASSIVE and came with a huge, Mongo-sized dollop of their signature Devonshire crème. *DROOL-O-RAMA* The pancakes were HEAVENLY. Just the right amount of pumpkin taste so as to not be overly sweet. And soft!!! The bacon was PERFECT. Thick-sliced, salty goodness not too fatty or overcooked. I could have probably eaten 10 more slices if my stomach would have allowed it. The potatoes were good, too, although probably my least favorite part of the meal. They weren’t bad… just run-of-the-mill hashbrown potatoes. The waitresses here are super sweet and attentive. I sat at a huge booth by myself(in the middle of the day), and they were on top of refilling my coffee and making sure that I was happy. It seemed like a lot of locals and regulars come here, which is a nice feeling. Although there’s not much to do/see in the Everett area, at least you know you can find some tastycakes if you happen to find yourself there. I highly recommend Patty’s!
