Worst service I’ve never had. Walked in on father’s day with my wife and infant daughter and it was fairly busy, but there was a sign that said«seat yourself». All the visible tables were full, but we patiently waited for a table finish up. While we waited another party walked in and they were told that there were tables available in some hidden back patio and were led back there. Meanwhile we took the next table that opened right up front. We sat there for 15 minutes with no contact from the staff whatsoever. Two other parties on either side of us left, had their tables cleared, new people sat in them and given water, all while we sat at a dirty table trying to get the staff’s attention without making a scene as we were pretty pissed off at being ignored for 15 minutes. I made eye contact with(which was quickly averted) and waved at the two servers I saw but we were never acknowledged. I wish I could comment on the food, or say anything else about the place but they didn’t give us the chance to experience anything except for their total disregard for their customers and complete lack of service. We ended up leaving after we were in the restaurant in total for about 40 minutes between waiting for a table and waiting at one, no employee ever spoke to us at all. A server looked at us as we got up to leave and never said anything even as they noticed that. I’ll never attempt to go here again and I caution anyone else from going here as they don’t seem to have any idea of how to run a restaurant or care for their(potential) customers.

Breakfast was good. I could stand it to be spicier but I know the masses like it. Didn’t try any of the baked goods but they looked insane. Will definitely go back. Friendly service and clean establishment.

Kick ass home cook food. very relaxing and deserts are the bomb! Finally Everett has a cool restaurant that deviates from the norm. Their South western food has a slight kick and can even kick it up a notch for you spicy lovers. The sign says it all, «not fast food, good food» sit back and relax nothing is rushed here.

Cornbread!!! We happened upon this place and we WILLBEBACK! The hardest thing is to decided what to eat. The cornbread is the best we have ever had(and we have lived in the south). The chicken and dumplings were soooo good and the baked beans were very delicious(the few I got because my boyfriend ate them all!!!) Price was fair for the amount and quality. Can’t wait to come back for breakfast!

After hearing great reviews, I decided to bring my family here for Mother’s Day. And I’m so glad I did! The food is great and everything is fresh and made from scratch! They make the margarita and Bloody Mary mix fresh daily, and it’s the best in town! The tacos and huevos rancheros are soooo good! Everything on the menu sounds so yummy it’s hard to pick! I can’t wait to come back and try more!

Legit. New Mexican Style country cooking. I had the Green Enchilada with pinto beans and a fried egg on top. I live in Seattle, but would drive to Everett just for this dish. My friend had the chicken fried steak which looked like a delicious amazing pile of stuff. A couple eggs, biscuits, gravy, and some fried potatoes. They have SpaceDust on tap which brings them up to a solid 3.5. Our server was friendly even though the restaurant was extremely busy and she seemed like the only one serving.

This is not upscale NM cuisine. This is NM home cooking and small family restaurant comfort food. Expect some grease. Expect some lack of depth in flavor. But also expect big portions, plenty of non-cheddar cheese, and a certain likable clumsiness in the construction and presentation of the plates. Decent comfort food – and some people five star that. I don’t. Doesn’t mean it’s not good. Just means it’s not five stars. Service is average to negligent. They are definitely understaffed in this area and try to cover it by simply letting you get your own water and drink refills. Place could definitely use a cleaning. Especially needs a dusting up high. Also feels a bit worn and disorganized. It’s basically like you’re visiting the kitchen in a working New Mexico ranch and having a lunch or dinner there. Not your typical restaurant experience.

Absolutely authentic and fresh Mexican food. I’ve had a lot of Huevos Rancheros in my life, but this place hit it out of the park. Everything is made from scratch. Best Mother’s Day meal ever.

They craft their food and pride themselves on nothing from a can which is rare and welcome in Everett. The service has as much love as their food. I’m pleased to have found them!

Breakfast was super good when I went a few weeks ago. Like. One of the best I’ve had in a LONG time. Otherwise, this place is mostly really affordably priced comfort food. Their spicy dishes are mostly just heat with minimal flavor, so I could do without that. The food is nothing particularly special or inventive, but it’s comfortable and it’s cheap and sometimes it just hits the perfect spot :)

Some notes here: is everything here perfect? Nah. Is it great and enjoyable? Yup. First: their guacamole game is STRONG. Easily the best guacamole I’ve had at a restaurant — it’s chunky, because dammit soupy guac is for people who pronounce it(Gwak-a-mo-lee), has a balanced acidity from limes, onion and tomato for a little sweetness, and perfectly seasoned. Served with flour tortilla chips. Excellent. Reminds me of my family’s recipe. Second: their brisket is super good. I just got back from a trip to Kansas City and was told I had to have BBQ there and the brisket sandwich was miles better than anything I had in KCMO. It is well smoked, a touch of chile, and sauced perfectly. The brisket is tender with just enough bite to remind you you’re eating meat, and served on a soft house made bun. Third: their enchiladas are pretty good. I had two red enchiladas with two sunny side up eggs(holy crap, perfectly cooked. I’m not sure I’ve had a more perfectly cooked sunny side up egg. No browning on the bottom and perfect yolks. No joke). This dish was a bit off balanced and bland– it was mostly that smoky sort of chile spicy you find in meh chipotle. I got medium heat which was just the right amount of spicy to feel the heat but to still be able to appreciate the flavors. I actually had to ask for some limes to add some acidity to the dish, which significantly improved it. Shoutout to the server who was inundated with a full lobby and was crushing it by herself for getting me some lime wedges and keeping us well taken care of. Fourth: kid friendly in a nice way. We were able to let our kids play on their little stuff next to the faux fireplace and they were relatively well contained. Our kids are super energetic and rambunctious but they were gracious with us. The décor is a little kitschy and such but everything made up for it. The overall tastiness of the food, the freshness of it, the solid cooking skills and service led to a good experience. We’ll be back. Also, the Reese’s crème pie is so damn good. Took some home for later but holy biscuits, Batman, it’s so tasty. My one complaint — the pride in hatch chiles is everywhere and I can’t get a friggin chile relleno? How is this not on the menu?!? Easily one of the best, most chile forward dishes possible, and it’s so New Mexican/Eastern Arizonan I can’t handle it. That said, I can’t be mad at them for a thing they’ve chosen not to serve, but I really want a well made hatch chile relleno up here(I grew up in hatch chile country, where everyone stands on the side of the road roasting chiles and sells them by the 25lb bag) and walking in, I thought I’d found my spot. Oh well, ya live and learn.

I think this may now be my favorite place on the rather thin roster of good Saturday brunch spots in Everett. It’s a bright and happily decorated little spot in the heart of downtown, with(you guessed it) New Mexico-influenced cuisine. Girlyfriend and I dropped in for brunch today… the menu has only a couple of options for vegetarian eats but we decided to split some huevos rancheros and sopapillas. The food was quite good and 1 order of huevos rancheros was plenty for the two of us… this is hearty, heavy, stick-to-yer-ribs food with lots of cumin and smoky chili powder. This is not food to eat before you run a half marathon… this is food to eat before you take a long nap. No harm there… I also had a grapefruit mimosa and we each got tea… this place, like seemingly every other restaurant in Everett, serves tea with tepid water. Baffling. There must be some civic ordinance that forbids boiling water. I’ll def be back, for dinner too if they can hold the meat on their entrees. And apparently they crank out the baked goods too… I saw some cinnamon rolls in there that were the size of bunny rabbits, and our server plied us with suggestions of pies but we were already drifting off to sleep at that point. :)zzzz

Gotta say, this place has pretty darn good food BUT, if you go there for brunch on Weekends be prepared to wait for your food for a long time. Just left there and had to wait 45 minutes after we ordered for our meal to show up. Felt bad about telling our attentive but overworked waiter to box my food up the second it came to the table. I place the blame solely on the owners for under-staffing during a high volume/high revenue time. Maybe the chef didn’t show up, maybe the orders were coming in incorrectly, either way service was extremely slow. At least the bloody Mary’s that the waiter made us were phenomenal. There are a lot of unemployed people in Everett, and a lot of students as well. Maybe as the owners of this small business should try to employ 1 more person which would increase table turnover, and bring you more revenue.

4 stars for food. 3 for service I’m a fan of the food. My go to picks include mac and cheese, green enchilada, chicken and dumplings, and the nachos. The burger is alright, but not the greatest. The chili dog is a bit Smokey for my pallet. The Assad burrito is a little do… hmm. What’s the word. The red sauce is just to much in the burrito. OH, best biscuits and gravy and I almost forgot! The cinnamon rolls are the best on the planet. Best 5 bucks I ever spent was the cinnamon roll. Service. If u eat while they are slow your good. If u try to eat on a busy night, don’t expect your drink in a hurry, or your refil. This is not a fault of the servers. They just seem to be understaffed. The waitresses are very friendly, they recognize us as repeated customers, and they know our favorite dishes.

Can’t believe this fairly new restaurant went down hill so fast. We came here a few years ago when they first opened up. The menu seemed odd, because they only had a few entrees that seem like SW Mexican food. BUT the few SW items like the Enchiladas(red and green) were delish and flavorful. The Margaritas WERE great and they served genuine Sopapillas. Jump ahead to present day… and the Margaritas are way too SWEET(not much alcohol)… the service was SAD and the quality of the food was definitely not the same. We couldn’t find our Enchiladas because they were covered with too much LETTUCE. They need more than one server on a Saturday night… It was VERY unorganized when people are trying to find a place to sit. We didn’t even bother to stick around for the sopapillas. Hopefully management will get their stuff together and bring back the old magic in one of the very few good Mexican restaurants in Everett. Will wait a few months before we give it another try.

I have had no meal here that was less than excellent. The service is on another level, I feel like I am in my families kitchen and my older brother or sister is cooking for me. From the first time it felt like family cooking. The wilted lettuce is unusual for the northwest, it feels good for you and sinful all at once with the bacon flavor. If you get the Mac and cheese request that they cook it with fresh jalapeños for an extra layer of flavor. The breakfast is particularly tasty, here until it’s gone is the way to go. My man always gets biscuits and gravy unless it’s a gigantic cinnamon roll. I like the crispy pancake and smothered potatoes unless I opt for the Huevos Rancheros. The Huevos Rancheros are amazing. Layers of tasty melting cheese, beans and egg exploding in my mouth. What I appreciate most is watching the employees. They seem to treat each other with such respect and love as if they were all family. They pass these sentiments on to their patrons and that just comes through in all that they do.

OK, went back & this time did not go the day after christmas. Food was still affordable and was(mostly) DELICIOUS. They understood I was a vegetarian and let me try the sauces. The red sauce is amazing & this time the enchilada was firm & very tasty. The only thing that we were disappointed with were the nachos because they used very stale chips. The drinks were STRONG!

I cannot say enough good things about this spot! I was here for happy hour, sipping delicious wine while my dining partners chugged margaritas! We ordered the pulled pork sliders which were loaded with smokey, delicious pork. Being new to the restaurant, I foolishly avoided the buns, thinking that they were just store-bought. Instead, everything is baked there in the restaurant!!! I ordered the hot dog, and the first thing that I tasted was the pillowy, doughy, buttery bun. Again: made in-house!!! The hot dog was a smoked kielbasa. I think this is the first time that the hot dog bun was the star of the show!!! Wow. Our server, Candace, was so sweet and funny. It was a great night.
