Pottery Loft Studio

What a great studio to make some pottery! It’s in the middle of a neighborhood… Inside it’s cute and quaint. The instructor was super nice and helpful. We luckily were the only 4 in the class which made it nice for us. it felt like having a private lesson. She only maxes out at 6 – 8 so it’s a small private atmosphere. We came here with a groupon and had no issues with that at all. On top of that, her little pomeranian was so cute. Will definitely be back to glaze our pots and try and make some more.

This was such a fun date for my husband and I! We had a great time and Evelia was very patient with our lack of experience and skill haha. The class was only 4 people, so she was able to devote a lot of time to instructing each of us. I could definitely see this being something we would enjoy doing on a regular basis. Just wish we didn’t live so far away!

Amazing! The best experience for myself and 9 year old daughter. Evelia was great! Welcomed us with a warm smile! She was so patient and kind! My daughter gets frustrated easily but with Evelia’s patience and instructions my daughter walked out feeling like a pro. She was so involved and made sure we were all having a good time. We will definitely be back for more! Thank you so much Evelia for making this experience one we’ll never forget!

Great Experience! Went with a couple of friends and we had a blast! We all got a quick how to then got right into creating our keepsakes! We also got a little one on one time to help correct any mistakes we made! The studio has a great mystic vibe too. Perfect for relaxing & being creative! I give it a rating of 5 Jalapeños!!!

I took my 9 year old daughter here for a little birthday fun. We had a blast! Evelia really took her time with us to make sure we knew what we were doing, and how to actually create something memorable. I would love to do a girls night here with some wine :-)

My daughter and I had a great first time experience doing pottery. Evelia is an excellent instructor and a great person! We are excited to go back in a couple of weeks. If you want to try doing pottery this is the place to go.

Evelia was great! I took pottery in college 10 years ago and I have to say that I learned more in the 90 minutes I had with her than I did in my semester in college. In college, it took a lot of frustration and the whole semester to walk away with anything that looked somewhat nice… but with Evelia, I now have 2 pieces that look wonderful. I can’t wait to go back!

My friend, her son, and I wound up taking classes with Evelia after we purchased a deal through living social and all enjoyed the experience. Evelia is a wonderful teacher and an extremely kind and friendly person. If she can manage to make a 13-​year-​old boy enthusiastic about throwing pots (and not at the wall), that’s magic to me!
Pricing at this cute, intimate little backyard studio is so reasonable that my friend and I (and possibly even her son!) plan on going back for more classes later in the year. I would highly recommend working with Evelia for small parties, girls’ nights out, or other special occasions where you and your friends want to learn something new.

I have enjoyed all my visits to the Pottery Loft. Evelia is a great teacher and very personable! I’ve never had trouble finding a time to come in. Her prices are the best around and I like the casual atmosphere.
I recently brought my son in to try the pottery wheel and he loved it! Evelia gave him a private session (without me asking) because of his age and he was able to get 1 on 1 time which was really nice.
You do have to make several trips because you must first make your pieces, then come back to paint/​glaze, then come back again to pick up. But that is how pottery is done.

Boyfriend and I got an online deal for a class here and it was really fun. Evelia is a wonderful teacher who can explain the in’s and out’s of throwing in very simple terms and make you feel like you’re creating something special.

So disorganized! I bought the living social deal for myself and a friend. The owner/​instructor is so hard to get ahold of, mind you to schedule the class, glaze and pickup. She charged an additional ten dollars per piece on top of the living social deal. She has mounds of pottery that I bet people just gave up and left there, due to pain of scheduling/​pick up.

Can I give more stars? It was AMAZING fun! Evelia was a great teacher — very patient, super helpful, made you feel like you were doing a great job (even when maybe you weren’t — but who doesn’t need a little flattery?)
We went in for a 2 hour session — she did a quick demo and started us on it right away. I loved that she let us try it out on our own, but was available to help if we needed it. Hubby and I were able to make 2 pieces each with about 20 min to decorate them at the end. Anyway, it was extremely fun and relaxing — made me want to quit my job and start pottery full-​time! :)
But do be aware — if you go for the intro class, it only includes the initial firing — not the glazing (meaning your piece will not be shiny and colorful — that’s an extra session/​fee)
Recommendation — GO! You need a break from your hectic life and this is it!

Evelia is great to work with and very helpful for beginners! We had a date night there one time and had so much fun we brought the whole family back for more the next time. Brought along some wine and it was a great night out for the family. Our pottery turned out great!
