QFC Quality Food Center

Somehow I always end up here because they are 24 hour… but honestly save your money and go to Winco. QFC is super expensive. The readily available food section is way over priced and if I’m going to pay that much I’d rather go to a sit down restaurant with fresh hot food for the same price.

My boyfriend & I pass 2 other grocery stores just to come here. One reason is because they have self check out & Safeway/Albertson’s do not. And another reason is because of the nice employee named Jonathan. He is usually pushing carts or bagging groceries or just greeting people. Not the most fun job in my opinion but man is this kid happy to just be on this planet. I love seeing him because he literally brightens my day. He is SO nice! A simple «How are you two doing on this beautiful sunny day?!»

I’ve been getting groceries at the Evergreen Way 4900 block QFC for over a year now. I didn’t want to go there, but all the stores I went to before were closing shop one after another.
Food Emporium? BAM! gone.
Cost Cutter Foods? gone.
Friggen TOP FOODS! I couldn’t BELIEVE when THAT one went. I think I may have even cried a little.
Covenience-​wise, this left me with Albertson’s (meh), Safeway (which closes at 11pm and has all forms of absolute basket cases in the parking lot), and, of course, the QFC for which I am writing this review.
It took me over a year before I figured out that they are open 24 hours a day. BIG PROPS to them on this, and huge slap upside the head to ME for many a night without beef jerky because I thought no one was open.
The staff are always helpful, and I enjoy talking to them. The Deli department rocks. I count on them when I am shopping for my mom. She loves their food. Ifmy day is hectic and I know I won’t make it to QFC before the deli closes, I just give them a ring from my cell phone and whatever I need will be waiting behind the counter for me at whatever time I show up. ENORMOUSLY HELPFUL and a huge relief.
I don’t really drink much, but I am happy that you can buy your booze at QFC now. So much funner then shipping a package Fed-​Ex! (Side note: If you have a friend in the Netherlands who has not seen nor tried an Andes Mint, do not be astonished, and do not offer to ship her a box via Fed-​Ex. Unless, that is, you do not mind spending about $ 145 on delivery of such a tiny little box. Then by all means, indulge them! As for me, I ate the two boxes, myself to recover from my shock.)
BOTTOM LINE:
Hours: Awesome. Never closes except some holidays.
Staff: Depends. Most are great.
I did get annoyed ONE TIME when two staff members were so busy flirting with each other in the toilet paper aisle that they paid no attention to myself and the other two customers waiting behind me at the register. I found the bell. I didn’t ring the bell… I picked it up and slammed it about 10 times against the counter, once for every minute I had to spend listening to adolescent giggling and being ignored. This made the young man a bit snippy. This made me VERY SWEET AND SMILEY.(Yes, I enjoy pissing people off when they deserve it.)

prices are high. store is very neat and tidy. staff is nice. Not a ‘destination” grocery store.

My oven has currently been broken for 2 weeks now… That’s a whole can of worms in itself… It’s Saturday morning and we had a severe hankering for cinnamon rolls. You can’t heat up cinnamon rolls in the microwave. After failed attempt at finding a bakery in Everett which was open or carried them, I resorted to QFC. I found the rolls, but thought just on a whim I’d ask if they’d heat em up for me… And they did!!! I felt this was just absolutely awesome… I told the manager too!
I shop pretty regularly at this store because it’s close… They have a decent selection, wine and beer are always stocked with a great variety. Their store is always very clean. I will say there aren’t many cart returns, but the parking lot isn’t bad to return them all the way to the store…
