Aca Las Tortas

The only good thing this place has is the Mariachi that plays on Sundays! the food is the worst! no flavor and just bad! I order a tostada de camarones/​shrimp tostada and the shrimp was so bad! the shrimp had no shrimp flavor and it was chewy, it seems as if the shrimp was in the freezer for over a year! I did not eat it and even told them that it was pretty bad and I still was charged!

The menu looks promising though I’ve never actually eaten here.
Why one star then?
The noise. On the two occasions I’ve tried they had the jukebox so loud I had a headache before I could decide what to order. The second time I could hear it from across the parking lot.

The restaurant had 5 small tables that were full… Basically ¼ of the restaurant. We waited 20 minutes for 2 tacos that were mediocre. Do not waste your time.

Shrimp tostada amazing! Don’t be scared of this hole in the wall, strip mall Mexican place. The food is fantastic.

The tortas here are delicioso! The Boca Junior tortas is ah-​mazin! Staff is always super friendly and the service is quick. We go here atleast once a month for lunch and LOVE the food!

Real mexican food! Everything was done right!

I work there with my Mariachi on Sundays. my best time when I order campechana and consome!

They have delicious tortas, a mexican sandwich on a soft white bread roll known as a bolillo. The Monterrey is probably the best in my opinion, if your vegetarian you cant go wrong with the pambazo. They also have tepache, a fermented pineapple drink. Try it on a hot day with lots of ice and a torta, so good. Keep in mind these are mexican street foods so dont expect a chef type presentation of your food. You eat it because its delicious, its filling and cheap; and not because it looks like art on a plate or because the texture is perfect. Tortas are the comfort food of Mexico.

Wanted to try this place for a while finally did today. I will probably never go again. 1. The place is pretty grimy and not kept clean and presentable. The condiment station is terrible they can’t even put thongs to get your stuff. 2. I got the asada burrito and it was so FATTY I had to spit out every other bite. I’m not sure if it’s because my standards when it comes to Mexican food are very high since I’m Mexican, and from L. A where we have the best fast food joints. Anyway I hope this review is helpful.

Wonderful food! Great variety of choices, we had to go back to try other new choices. Not your average Mexican food but those are there too.

Been wanting to try this place since it opened. Finally made my way over tonight, and Im so glad I did. I had the maradona torta. Placed my order to go. My kid got the chicken nuggets-​whatever, she’s five and has a lot to learn, so I’ll let that slide. They don’t have a very good kid menu, with only one real Mexican item, a burrito. But, they are reasonably priced. Anyway, back to the torta… it was fantastic. The bread is good, but not so thick that it overwhelms the sandwich, and its perfectly grilled with a little crunch. The spicy pork and carne asada was flavor full and perfectly salty and spicy. The spicy green sauce is wonderful! Perfect kick to it. We will be going back, so many tortas to try. Can’t wait.

We thought we’d try this new place which was once a not so good burger place. The prices are reasonable, but the tables were dirty and not very presentable. Even the salt shaker and silverware were dirty. When the food arrived, the cheese enchilada had very little cheese, same for the chicken enchilada. The burrito I tried to eat feel apart in my hands. To top it off, it took forever to get the food delivered, with the enchilada plate being cold. Not too sure how long this place will stay in business. I doubt that we’ll go again.

So happy these guys opened near my job. I have been spreading the word to all my coworkers. My favorites by far are the Alemana Torta, the Barcelona and the monterey.
