It is now closed, all cleared out with a fence all around, out of business.

Gross. I have to admit that I didn’t even go into this place. I was so excited to go to a restaurant that I used to love when I was a kid. I had business in the area and was surprised to see this, maybe the last, Skippers. I pulled into the parking lot, noticed it was empty, wondered if it was open then went to the door. There were double doors but there was a chair propped up against one of the doors and a messy sign on it saying something like, «use other door.» «Good lord, you can’t even get your front door right? Forget this,» I thought and hightailed it out of there The Skippers of my youth is dead and gone. No, I will not be coming back to this place.

Terrible doesn’t say enough. As a child this was a popular place and the food was great. It has not stood the test of time

I like the old Skippers, and many have since left the Seattle area. This one was a bit dodgy in the past with lazy owners, but I just went there recently and it was much better with a «under new management» banner. Lets hope they keep it up.

Loved it when it was the original Skippers. Then when it was first privately owned, I tried it twice and didn’t return. Finally years later, one day it just sounded good so I tried it again. I think it has new owners again ?? The lady was very nice and the food marvelous. It is due for a remodel, but food quality and service are what are most important. I have since been back 8 – 10 times and promised her a good review. So here it is !(but please find a different music station and turn it down a little; /) I’ll be back !

Awesome fish and chips. Also a variety of seafood, chicken and burgers. I had the Original Fishwitch and fries. EXCELLENT! Numerous choices of cold and tasty beverages. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available. Family owned and very friendly. Great parking. Easy access in and out of parking lot. If you’re itching for fish and chips, this will scratch your itch.

I had been craving fish n chips for a week. I finally ventured out and googled the closest place I could find, from my house. Skippers came up… and with decent reviews we went. I was totally satisfied. The owner was helpful, portions were as priced, food was HOT and tasted delicious. My husband had a fish sandwich and the only reason I give skippers a 4 is because it had a little too much tartar sauce on it. It was a slimy one. Overall, everything was pretty good, and we’ll definitely be back next time for some beer n chips!

This place is awesome now that it has new owners they have cleaned it up and made it a great place to eat I was super sad when the one by my house closed but now I’ve got one right next to my work! Reviews from previous owners should be disregarded as they did not do it justice! But now I’d highly recommend

As a long time Skippers fan, I am shocked at the poor quality of the food at this restaurant. This place is terrible! It is old and dirty and should be closed down. Do not waste your money at this restaurant. I would give this place a zero if I could.

Dont be fooled by this page. The real skippers page will give you a better idea of this place. idk why you would try to make another page. Only seems like they wanna wipe out the real reviews.

Inexpensive decent quality for a fast food situation. Fine dining not really. Decent food yes. You get what you pay for. I would equate this with going into like a McDonalds or a Wendys it’s just now you’re eating seafood. Done in a fast-food situation. It’s dependable it’s inexpensive and if that’s what I’m looking for, it’s a good choice. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

Tuesday all you can eat fish & chips W/chowder(also all you can eat) and they were kind enough to give us slaw and offer jello, all for $ 12 bucks, screaming deal. However there was a new guy working and wasn’t exactly ecstatic to be there… The manager was excellent! None stop friendliness great time great place … Oh and beer on tap

I had written off this Skippers as of Fall ’13. It was a mess. Dirty tables that had not been bussed with stacks of garbage piled up on them. I ventured back in a few months ago and it has improved. Draft beer, new TVS, a clean countertop(or it might be new), and a new menu board. Tables and chairs(and carpet) need thorough cleaning or replacing. Food is about what Skippers used to be. I think everything is frozen though, including the fish. But it came hot and tasted what it was priced at. I’ll be back.

I originally gave this Skippers a really bad review, but in the intervening years, new owners have taken over and are slowly cleaning the place up and trying to make it a respectable restaurant. The staff is attentive and friendly, and the food is as good. OK, deep fried might not be good for you, but it sometimes it is just what I want. They have also just added a big draft beer selection which is pretty cool. Yes, it is still a little run down inside, but that seems to be slowly improving. Overall, I’m really glad we gave it another chance.

My friends and I went in 9 years ago and the place was dirty the food was greasy and poor quality. To my surprise my wife wanted us to go when we could not decide on a good lunch. This Skippers has changed 100% nice owners and friendly staff clean a little old looking but don’t let that stop you. The food was more like when I was a kid good pricing and have all you can eat Mon-Sun not just Sundays anymore. The Lady brought both my little girls jello and waved and asked if everything was good. Every thing we ordered was hot and fresh and fast we will add Skippers back to our out to eat list I went back a few days later to eat and bought some chowder and had a second good experience. Thanks for cleaning up this place.

Disgusting dirty and poor quality. Health department needs close then down. Salt pepper shakers sticky carpet needs to be torn up. An employee was cleaning tables and whiping down counters… then whipped down the tartar sauce with the same towel! I said you should use a clean towel when you clean the sauces. She looked at the towel and said its clean… but you just cleaned the tables with it! Just laughed and went to the back. I WILLNOTBEBACK

Since we haven’t been to Skippers in a while, my husband and I decided to treat ourselves to fish and chips this evening. Last time we came was great — nice sized portions, good quality. What a disappointment this was tonight! I will not be back and here’s why: * Ordered 4 piece fish(halibut) and fish — paid $ 10.99, got a very small portion of old tasting chips and four of the SMALLEST battered fish filets I’ve ever seen outside of McDonalds. I could not BELIEVE how small the portion was! The fish was dry, over-cooked and pathetic. * Ordered 5 piece scallops, paid $ 3.99, got 5 «gobstopper» sized scallops in batter. They were so small you could pop all 5 in your mouth in one go if you wanted to. * Ordered a bowl of clam chowder, paid $ 4.49, got a tub of gelatinous goopy stuff that tasted EXACTLY like a can of Campbell’s condensed cream of chicken soup… before you add the extra can of water! I’m not kidding here — there were little bits of chicken just like to soup has, and tiny bits of potato added to make it seem chowder-like. I’ve never seen anything like it, and it grossed me out so much I couldn’t finish more than 3 spoonfuls. * When we walked in the place smelled bad. BAD. REALBAD. A restaurant shouldn’t smell so funky, a real appetite suppressant. When we first got there, my husband expressed concern that it was different people working there and maybe it wasn’t the same quality. I told him to give them a chance — they looked like a hard-working couple struggling to achieve the American dream, and the woman behind the counter had such a lovely infectious smile that I really wanted the food to be good. Sadly, it was not only a massive disappointment, but I feel ripped off on top of it — hugely overpriced. Next time Ivor’s!

There used to be a Skippers near the Lake Forest Park mall when I was younger. I was obsessed with that place. Some of the best fish and chips I’d ever had and ooh la la did I love that condiment bar! I’d fill up tiny cups with tarter and come back for more over and over. You gotta love a place that lets you take as much tarter sauce as you want(Ivar’s, are you listening??). Anyway, fast forward a bunch of years. Skippers restaurants are pretty much no more. There isn’t a single one in the Seattle area. However… there is this one in South Everett, which is as close as it gets. My mom also used to love Skippers, so my dad and I decided to take her there for a little celebration. When we pulled up, the building looked a little worse for wear, but otherwise brought up some great memories. When we got inside, I was a little surprised to see that the menu was different from the old Skippers I was used to. Not a big deal, though. I ended up ordering the Kids Meal with fish bites and it was pretty much just like I remember. Plenty of fries, animal crackers, and a side of JELLO! And the fish bites themselves were shaped like starfish and fish(I don’t remember this, but it was a cute surprise). Everything tasted great. The staff offers you a large bottle of tarter or ketchup from a fridge behind the counter. My parents took it, but I used the little cups at the condiment bar, of course! Yeah, the inside is a little dingy, but the staff were SUPER friendly, our food came out pretty fast, and I was able to relive a lot of great memories during this visit. Plus, the fish and chips were GOOD!
