This is our first time here. The owner was very rude. When we ordered a burger and fries, a super combo and one of the lunch special. The food at best was mediocre at best. The chicken was

small hole in the wall easily within walking distance from the courthouse(jury duty). price is just a little more expensive than I would say compared to many of the other teriyaki joints I’ve been to($ 8.51 after tax for standard chicken teriyaki) but the portions more than made up for it. I ate in, and was very pleased with how much I got for my money. seems to me that they nickle and dime you for almost everything(to go sauces, $ 1 extra to make it spicy), but I just used Sriracha which was fine. as for taste, it was on par with other places. overall, pretty pleased. they do accept credit cards FYI. as for the other reviews about the owner being rude, for what it’s worth, he’s an older asian guy who’s English isnt the best who I would picture as a cook at a Chinese restaurant. if you’re used to or know the type, then it’s expected and understandable. he was nice to me.

One of the worst teriyaki places I have been to. I used to go to this place 1 – 2 times per week and order the chicken breast as a side, until they noticed that I ordered chicken breast as a side consistently, they all of a sudden decreased the amount of chicken I received by about half and only gave me 2 small skewers of chicken breast pieces for the exact same price. It was clear they had changed their amount because of me and because of that they lost my business and I now go to Tokyo Teriyaki 2 – 3 times per week, a place that actually cares about my repeated business. The dining area at Toshi’s is dirty and unattended. The bathroom is very small and is also dirty. Their meat is subpar and the portions are not good for the price. Their frequent diner cards expire within months so you can’t use their buy 10 meals get one free punch card unless you go 10 times within a few months. This place is very stingy in my opinion and they do not deserve my business because they clearly don’t care about keeping it.

Just moved to the neighborhood and was craving something but couldn’t pin point what then I saw teriyaki! Small little place but does have seating area, and wrap around bar to sit out. The food was good I ordered chicken teriyaki(thigh meat) meal and a side of fried rice. It was good but nothing jumped out as wow. However the veggie amount and mix in the fried rice was a nice change from other places. Service was good the gentlemen was talking to my 1 year old. I ordered take out, and it wasn’t to bad of a wait maybe 10 minutes. I will have to try other items, they do offer buy 11 get 12th free on meal combos.

This meal was horrible… and over priced lil portions of burnt dried out old chicken served cold. The customer service was unfriendly and was highly irritated when asked for extra utensil+and napkins.

This was by far one of the worst Teriyaki places my husband and I have been to. We went here for dinner around 8pm. I ordered the Chicken & Gyoza combo and my husband ordered the Chicken Yakisoba. The price and the cook time were fine but the food was horrible as well as the customer service… Once I sat down I can feel the dirt on the table my sleeves were getting stuck to it. While we were waiting, I started to look around and noticed the walls were mismatched, the colors were different and didn’t match just poor decorating like oops paint from Lowes. Despite this figured the food would be good… usually the hole in the wall places serve some of the best foods!!! Dinner is served… mine looked like there was gravy on top of the chicken it was so thick and tan not like teriyaki sauce the chicken didn’t look right either… it tasted rubbery. My husbands yakisoba noodles were not cooked all the way they were still hard. Both meals were flavorless even though Sriracha was added to the yakisoba it still had no taste looked like the Sriracha may have been watered down. Here’s the best part… around 8:40 we were just finishing up and the gentleman came around from the back to take out a box after coming back in he left the door open. Keep in mind it was 35 degree’s out, it’s December and pretty cold. It’s not like he forgot or left it open by accident because he went back to sit behind the counter in front of the open door. It quickly started to get cold in the restaurant… we just left the remaining food and decided to leave. When walking out the gentleman never thanked us or said bye. It almost felt like the door was left open to get us to leave so he can close since there was no one in there. After getting home I can say the food is not sitting in my stomach well, it kinda made me upset. I can say I have never felt this way after having teriyaki I feel bad to give such a negative review but I hope someone appreciates the honesty. After such poor service and bad food I have to say I can’t even give any stars but in order to review I have to give them at least 1… Sorry Toshi but you need to work on bettering your business… not to mention the place can use a little uplift.

One thing I learned at a young age when I started working. «Cash front» is very important… In other words when you have a customer come in you greet them you don’t spend the whole time yelling in your native language at the staff in the kitchen. Strike 1… Strike 2 the person taking an order should have some customer service, the person up there was very cold and short for even Wa standards. As for the food when it came out it looked good but they are very stingy with their meat portions. And the food looks was about as far as that went. The dressing on the salad I posted looked like ranch but I couldn’t tell by how flavorless it was. As for the short ribs we ordered I have had better Everywhere else in Wa. Not bad just not great so I guess if they are next door to your place and you aren’t picky it will do. As for the customer service I think they need to go back to the drawing board. The good thing about this place is at least they had good country music going.

Toshi’s Teriaki is pretty good, but try the Curry Stew. You will be coming back for it! It’s perfect on a cold gray afternoon. Delicious chunks of potato, carrot and onion mingle nicely with a lovely yellow curry stewed with chunks of boneless chicken thigh. Served with rice, this meal will warm you through and through.

Took our order at 12:10, at 12:40 still no sight of the #2 and the Yakisoba we ordered. Finally got it at 12:50 as she«forgot» we ordered any food. Fried rice is terrible, unbelieveable amount of «lube» to go with uncooked peas and day-old carrots. No refills on over-priced soda. No flavor on the teriyaki breast. $ 20 for two for lunch is about $ 22 too much for this kind of service and this kind of food. In downtown Everett, the teriyaki across from Romios is much, much better!

Toshi’s has been my go to place for a couple of years as you can’t beat them on fast and I’ve yet to have a dish that disappoints. I always get the chicken breast(and throw in the honey chicken or a thigh or shrimp on a skewer every now and then) and my sometimes better half is working his way through the Chinese entries on the menu — his favorite being the Mongolian beef ‘extra’ hot(he has sweat breaking out on his forehead every time he has it!). I like that they have rice choices(white, brown or fried) and while you have to ask for it, their cabbage salad(instead of the plain out of the bag lettuce variety) has a nice vinegar kick that really compliments the teriyaki. I also like that you can call ahead for a pickup! The owner is extra friendly(he’s there most all the time) and their remodel of the space about two years ago really spruced it up — very clean!

It’s a fast friendly teriyaki joint. The food is decent and reliably good.

I am just not hitting the jackpot on restaurants these days. I was disappointed in Toshi’s Teriyaki. I ordered a chicken teriyaki to go with white meat. I got that but the dressing they serve for their salad is bland. Also they had fried rice with peas, carrots and corn. It didn’t taste very good and I later dumped it in the garbage. I will give them 2 stars only because the service was fast and he was friendly. I wouldn’t go back though.
