So fun. Went here with friends and my boyfriend and we got a hour of climbing. The staff is very helpful and it was only $ 17 bucks to climb. They provide all the gear. They are in walking distance of restaurants too.

We held our daughters 10th birthday party here and I was SO impressed. The staff was super friendly and helpful, even with 9 slightly obnoxious pre-teen girls. We had an absolute blast. We spent only 30 minutes in the room(which really wasn’t all that fancy but it didn’t matter as we were only there to eat some cupcakes and open gifts), the rest of the time was on the good stuff. A lot of kids in our party went all the way to top and I credit the staff for this. They had just the right tone and gave just the right amount of pressure to encourage the girls to take a risk but not enough to feel forced into it. Everyone had such a good time. I’m bummed that I didn’t get up there myself! We will be back.

Vertical World Everett is a great gym like all the other Vertical Worlds. It has lots of room, lots of routes, all different difficulties. It’s a great place to learn how to climb or move to the next level. They just added some more auto belays for a total of four, so even if you can’t find a partner, you’re set to get pumped. BUT…it is the staff that really makes this place stand out. Super-friendly, down-to-earth folks that really just want you to have fun climbing. The instruction is top notch, as evidenced by the kids of all ages you will regularly see absolutely crushing it. Possible con: you will never be as good as many of the 12-year-olds in this gym. It’s ok, though, because they are also all totally friendly and there is zero«scenester» vibe that you sometimes get at other gyms. If you have kids that want to get into climbing, take them here, period. This gym is smaller than the Seattle VW, but bigger than Stone Gardens. However, they reset routes CONSTANTLY. Seriously. I am in the gym twice a week and I have never not seen a route setter at work. You will never be able to climb everything before it gets reset. Add lots of guest setters, and you can be sure that it will always be fresh. Anyway, thanks KJ, Anique, Paul, Devo, Josh, Stella and anyone else I might be forgetting. I love coming to the gym and you make it a great place to climb!

I can’t speak highly enough about KJ, one of the terrific staff at Vertical World. I brought my 20 year old nephew there in hopes of finding a physically active form of therapy for his autism. I called ahead and spoke with KJ about my nephew’s specific needs(no firm touching, no sharp noises) and it was as if he knew exactly the types of questions to ask, and had all the right answers for the questions I had(can he free-climb without ropes to see if he even likes climbing? Yes, it’s called ‘bouldering’(sp?) and there are whole sections dedicated to bouldering. In short, let nothing stop you, this place is great.

This gym is great, the staff are great, and they make up for the size with great route setters who turn over the routes frequently. They staff are helpful in building climber’s skills.

Great instructors and helpful staff. My son and I took the intro class on Saturday and went back in to Sunday to climb again. Staff was eager to help and offer advice.
