We’ve been ordering from this place for the last few months and we like to make a joke that it’s not Sushi lose, it’s Sushi Win! The sushi and selection is very good, the best I’ve had in the Evergreen area. However, the last few times we’ve ordered they have asked us to pay in cash or check when we went to pick up. We have accommodated this request even though it is inconvenient, but when we were asked to please leave the name on the check blank(when we don’t have cash) we started to question this request. We were told it was so they could give the check directly to their workers. This makes us feel like we are being implicated in some sketchy business practices, and/or that the host is just pocketing the money himself. It’s one thing to flat out say that this is a cash only place. We probably wouldn’t go there as frequently because it would be a bit inconvenient, but we wouldn’t raise our eyebrows. I don’t know why they aren’t handling their payroll like a normal business or if this was just an excuse to not have to report this as income, but it doesn’t make us want to support a business that isn’t playing fair.

Went here last night after hitting up Buchanan Rec Center.(Warning: exercise may increase your appetite and cause you to order a million rolls). This place is awesome! Run by a local family, wonderful atmosphere, and most importantly – delicious sushi! I used to live in little Japan in Los Angeles and I’m constantly bemoaning the lack of good sushi in Denver. Imagine my delight when I found an awesome, reasonably priced sushi place in EVERGREEN. This place is at least as good as the fancy sushi restaurants in Denver that charge you twice as much. The fish is fresh, the preparation is meticulous, and there are options for non-sushi lovers as well. The friendly service seals the deal. We will make this place one of our regular stops. They now have their liquor license, FYI – didn’t check if it was liquor as well because we just got beer but at least you can get a Kirin with your sushi now: D

So fresh! It’s hard to believe that there can be such fresh sushi in Evergreen, but this place is awesome! The sushi chef/owner creates the most beautiful and delicious sushi plates. The newly opened expansion is pretty neat and the staff is super friendly. I highly recommend Sushi win!

Service was good, food just okay. Kinda boring nothing that made my taste buds want another bite. Nice atmosphere and clean. Just wish the food was a little better.

I am always greeted when I walk in and the resturant is very clean. The customer service and sushi are great! It’s usually pretty quite in the resturant as well which is nice if you’re looking for a good relaxing meal.

Love this place!!! I love sushi and when I learned evergreen had one coming I was so excited. The fish is very good and high quality with no fishy after taste which I really enjoy. They offer many items besides sushi as well which provides a good variety. A small family runs the restaurant and I can tell they get a little overwhelmed sometimes as they are slightly short handed, but they handle it well and are very kind to everyone! I would defiantly recommend coming here and trying it out.

We are back in Evergreen for just a week and happy to see local business putting out consistently great sushi every night of the week. Just what Evergreen needed!

The fish is always fresh, well crafted sushi. The service is friendly and attentive. Best gem in Evergreen. I used to live in SF and ate sushi weekly. I’m happy to have found SW in my neighborhood!

Well, I’m disappointed. I ordered a Special Rainbow Roll(California Blue Crab roll topped with Yellowtail). The flavor was probably a 3(though my husband enjoyed his roll a bit more than I enjoyed mine), but the value for the money was just outrageous. I paid $ 14 for my roll and the amount of crab in it was minimal. Now, I realize I ordered the real crab and not the imitation crab, but that’s why I paid a $ 2 premium. I expected more…

Big portions, fresh and flavorful fish, and very friendly service. I lived in San Francsico for years, and this was just as good as a lot of the sushi I had right next to the ocean. I’d recommend the Sushi Win special roll. We’ll be back for sure. They are supposed to be getting their liquor license soon!

I have enjoyed Sushi for many years, and have never experienced a large selection that all tasted the same. My wife also felt that it had no flavor. Service was great, but the Sushi just didn’t make the cut. Sorry, Don

Wow this is a really nice sushi restaurant. I had a lot off of their menu. Great service really really great sushi. Sushi Win is must. They do not have their liquor license so they only have non alcoholic drinks but that didn’t really matter because the sushi was so good.

I have been twice now and the food is above reproach: the fish is delicious, the miso soup is balanced well with tofu and seaweed and there are both traditional and special rolls, depending on your mood. I’ve had hamachi, maguro and sake — all fresh-tasting and generous slices. They also have soy paper, which I like. Great job, Sushi Win — I’ll definitely be back.

Giving them the 5th star after 3 more visits… Original Review stands — recommended: Sushi Win is a solid 4 stars and they might get the fifth star after a couple more visits. I’m still skeptical that really great fresh sushi can exist in Evergreen, Colorado — even though they have now proved it to us twice that it can. I’m a bit concerned that it might be too good to be true. So a couple more visits before the fifth star comes out. We love sushi from time to time and it’s impossible to find in the area. Woodcellar has it on the 3rd Wednesday during a full moon(or something like that) Hideaway has started serving it again, but it’s a daily special with just one choice. Sushi Win comes to the rescue with very artfully created sushi with bright and fresh ingredients. We have eaten in once, and done takeout once. The dining room is nothing fancy. Tables and chairs. You need to exit the place to get to the restroom, which is odd. It’s sparkling clean and the service was friendly and efficient. They currently do not have a liquor license. I posted 2 pictures — One of the crispy volcano roll, which is a must have. The other is the Sashimi Tuna and Apples with tuna sashimi behind it. The sashimi was as good as it gets. A very nice surprise — really fresh tuna just how i like it. The Tuna and apples I didn’t really care for, but we were going out on a limb when we ordered it and we knew it. The tuna was perfect — I just didn’t really care for the flavor of the sauce. We have had takeout from here and it’s really awesome too. They put the sushi in really nice containers that can go straight on to the table. Again, everything was extremely fresh and tasty. Sushi is a «once a month» thing for us. Hopefully this place can get enough traffic that it makes it because they are the new go to place in the area for sushi and we are very glad to have them around.
