Last night had dinner here and was fine until the dinner entrée came. I ordered the chicken piccatta and was sorely disappointed. After the first two bites could not even stomach the taste. Pasta tasted like paste with very cheap olive oil. The chicken was small and so bottle lemony. Capers were very tasteless. My husband ordered chicken Parmesan and I ate some of the chicken with the one tablespoon of sauce and cheese it had. Was very dry but tasty. My son order a Stromboli and liked it. They should stick with the little less pricey dishes or get a chef that knows Italian food. The appetizer of cheese and apples was very tasty other than the fact that the apples were thin cut and only five were serves, must have run out of apples? Salad was delicious with bleu cheese dressing. Server was attentive and friendly. $ 80.00 wash in our eyes. Overall experience not good.

We stopped in here and ordered to go. The staff was incredibly friendly and offered us some bread and butter while we waited. I had a glass of wine while we waited for our food. The food is so good. I ordered the chicken parmesan and it was so worth it! I would definitely come back here. I believe they have outside seating which has a gorgeous view of a lake and the mountains. Definitely a good place to take a date!

We stopped by after a hike for some beers and a snack. We shared a flatbread which was amazing. Friendly Service and cozy patio ambiance added to the nice experience.

No option for zero stars. Awful. Don’t go. The service is slow. The food is reheated. Hardly ever fresh. Tasted like some of it had been sitting for a seems like they just have a bunch of microwaves. Waited 45 minutes for a house salad. Need I say more?

This place is pretty much Olive Garden without the never ending bread or salad. I’ve tried this spot a few times hopping I would have an experience that would change my mind. Food is bland and really tasteless. Pizza was soggy and definitely not cooked enough. On a positive note, the wine selection is decent!

Service was excellent, but the food was disappointing. The soup of the day was a beer, ham and cheese soup. Neither my husband or I could finish because it was overly salted. I originally ordered a Mediterranean pasta dish. I am sure the dish tasted the way it was supposed to, but I just didn’t care for it. If I didn’t have an olive in the bite it had no real flavor. I did love one part of our meal and would go back for the cheese appetizer platter.

Great atmosphere and patio, the staff was nice and attentive. I had the special, rockfish with mash potatoes, which was wonderfully prepared and full of flavor. My husband had spaghetti and meatballs, it had a tasty sauce and a good portion. The wine selection was nice, but not large. We will definitely come back!

I have visited my family numerous times over the years and always ended up «traveling» a good distance, for authentic tasting Italian food. My husband and I just moved back to Evergreen and we won’t be traveling for wonderful Italian food with outstanding service! The Scaloppini was amazing– full of flavor without leaving you feeling weighed down. Portions are generous but not outrageous. I’m almost afraid to sing too many praises for fear of not being able to get a table the next time we go– which will be soon and often! Pricing is also very reasonable… Don’t know that I can come up with many more superlatives… GO!!!

We love Tuscany Tavern! The food and service are consistently good! My favorite is the Apple Chicken salad, the lettuce is always fresh and crispy! My kids love all the kid selections. The resturant is a great for families, groups, girls night or date night!

We live in NW Denver(i.e. several great Italian places), but were in Evergreen for a bike ride up Squaw Pass. Now it might have helped that were were starving after our ride, but we had a great Sunday afternoon experience at Tuscany Tavern. Our server was a sweet young woman who was attentive and friendly. Both of our dishes were generous portions and delicious. I had the Cioppino which was full of all kinds of seafood and had a very tasty and nicely spicy sauce. My wife has her favorite, Italian Sausage sub, that was huge, also very delicious. We will be back for sure!

This place is horrible. Horrible. It only exists because when hungry and lazy, the last thing the Evergreen population wants to do is drive down the hill for(halfway) decent Italian. I have eaten here three times once because I was genuinely curious, the second time because I was in disbelief, and the third time because I was desperate. There will not be a fourth mistake on my part. The first was take out. I ordered the eggplant rolatini with a side of broccoli. I received two rolatini, each no longer than 2.5″ and 1″ in diameter. This is nothing, folks. There was more steamed frozen broccoli than actual entrée. My second experience was ordering a pizza take out. How can they skimp on a pizza, right? Hoping for the best, I picked up a custom pie with feta, jalapeño and pineapple toppings. When we got home and opened the box, the ENTIRE pizza was slathered with feta cheese. There was no mozzarella. Just 1lb of feta. I don’t even think a Greek could eat that! It was disgusting. They did exchange it for one made correctly, but i had to drive all the way back there and I wasnt comped for my troubles. On my third, desperate patronage of this place, my pasta was delivered sitting in a good half inch of water. This place belongs on the Food Networks Restaurant Impossible. I would love to see Robert Irvines face when experiencing the food and the service.

Service is disappointing, food is just ok, there is a good selection but seriously over priced. Evergreen could use a good Italian place but this isn’t it. I have lived in evergreen my whole life and if the quality of food and service were seriously improved I would come here more then once every four years.

I can’t recommend this place at all. The food is awful and overpriced for what you get. The server was nice but that’s not why you go out to dinner. I have lived in Evergreen for years and can’t understand why restaurants struggle so much with quality food up here.

I REALLY want this place to be better because it’s convenient and the only Italian restaurant nearby. We’ve been her several times for happy hour and dinner. The snacks in the bar are generally good but there isn’t much variety or anything new. The bruschetta is consistently good. The dinner menu is never exciting. The food is good, but covered in butter and oil. It may be authentic, but it’s much too rich and just not appetizing. They do have a nice bar and good wine list. Lots of TVs to watch whatever«game of the century» is being played at the moment. The crowd is usually fun and the staff is friendly. My favorite part of the whole experience? The free mints on the way out. This is one of those places where you want to grab two handfuls and stuff them in your pockets –hoping the hostess doesn’t spot you and chase you out the door.

Do not waste your time or money here! If I could give it zero stars I would. I really want to give local restaurants my support, but my experience here was HORRENDOUS. First of all, the service is beyond painfully slow. Though the staff is nice, it takes an obnoxious amount of time for food to come out. There were probably 5 occupied tables in the whole place and it still took an HOUR to get a soup and salad. Calling the food mediocre would be giving undue credit. Everything is bland and gross. You couldn’t pay me to go back to this restaurant and I’m surprised they can keep their doors open.

Food was good but not memorable. Waitress was sweet but inexperienced– almost inept. Restaurant was short-staffed. Waitress needed several reminders. This won’t be our first choice next time.

NEVERAGAIN! Enough said. Well, I was just going to leave it at that(above) but they won’t post something that succinct. Let’s just say *everything*, including carry-out pizzas, are beyond sub-par. I’d rather eat Ragu out of a jar on boiled pasta that I made at home, and Jack’s frozen $ 4 pizzas – they are waaay better!!!

After mtn biking we popped in here to grab a bite to eat. Stella &1554 on tap started us off and once we ordered food they bring out some fresh bread. I am not really an Italian connoisseur so I usually just pick something with chicken in it but the Penne Al Arrabbiata(the angry noodle) on the menu caught my attention. Bacon, onions and mushrooms sautéed in red wine and tossed in a spicy marinara sauce. It looked a little soupy and would of been better with more of that free bread! It was spicy enough and I enjoyed it but I dont think it was worth $ 14.95 even with the small salad included. Friend got the chicken parmesan and the breasts were huge so she shared and it was thick and juicy. Service was good tho it was pretty quiet on a Sunday afternoon with just a few locals at the bar watching football.

We came back for dinner last week and it was a huge disappointment compared to our previous visit. I ordered the chicken parmesan with a side of angel hair pasta. What I received looked like someone else’s leftovers. Two paper-thin, dried out chicken breasts with some nasty gummy coating which I can only assume were breadcrumbs, and topped with a dark red pasty«sauce». The angel hair was overcooked and swimming in something oily(no sauce). I think the chicken was made a long time ago, frozen and reheated in the microwave. Gack. Never again.

We came for dinner while visiting friends last week. It would definitely not be a repeater for me, even if I lived in the neighborhood. I think it might be okay for a beer at the large bar area. Waitstaff seems young, inexperienced, and despite the fact there were a lot of them considering the number of tables, quite harried. My friend’s cutlery was dirty with baked on spaghetti sauce, which kind of got us off to a bad start, but I tried not to let it taint the experience. We ordered drinks: 1 gin martini up for me, 1 each unusual beer(don’t remember the name) for the men with me. It was unusually warm that day, and the dining room, though quite dark, felt just as hot as the outside had been all day. Courses came slowly, and our server seemed annoyed, but kept a toothy grin pasted on the whole time. Our Food: I had a green salad, which was okay, but the dressing(creamy Italian) tasted like thinned mayo. Followed that with veal marsala. I thought that would be pretty safe, since it’s classic. The kitchen did well on sauteeing the veal, which is probably the trickiest part, although the portion was a tiny two scallops(not pounded, so too thick), about 4 – 5 oz. The sauce tasted slightly of marsala(good), but not much else, and I could count the mushroom slices on one hand. Now I am a self-confessed mushroom lover, but by anyone’s standards it was sparse. The selection for sides was good and along with the standards, potatoes and rice, offered broccoli and«sauteed spinach». I picked the spinach, thinking, spinach leaves sauteed in olive oil and garlic(Tuscan, right) and instead I got what was clearly frozen spinach that had simply been warmed. N. got the nightly special, which was tilapia sauteed with herbs and the broccoli, which also looked frozen. He like it, but he also counts Subway as his favorite lunch place, so not sure if he’s a good taster for my senses. T had a steak salad. He said it was okay, but he was very hot and cranky, so not sure. The steak slices looked as if they were cooked just right, but again the wimpy dressing. A had his usual pepperoni pizza, almost always gets it when available, he said, «Eh it was all right; I was not really that impressed. N. picked up the tab, so I can only estimate that with drinks it was probably close to $ 100 for the 4 of us. Not that high, but value wasn’t good because the food lacked. Go back? I would not!
