There are not many true candy stores anymore. The chocolate is good and you can mix the different types together. I would go more often if it weren’t so expensive.

Growing up in Cinnaminson, Bayard’s was a staple in our home at Easter time. The Easter Bunny always brought me a hallow milk chocolate egg filled with various candies, and my brother a coconut filled egg. I can’t image my childhood Easter basket without a Bayard’s egg. I was thrilled to see this new, smaller location open by my office in Marlton. It is considerably smaller than the location in Cinnaminson(and presumably Cherry Hill, though I’ve never been inside that chocolate house), and appears to be just a retail store front. I’m not sure how much they actually make right at this location, but it doesn’t matter where it’s made, as the quality is the same as I’ve come to expect from Bayards. I went to this new location today to pick up a couple of things for my Godchildren, and much to my delight, the traditional eggs, both hallow and filled, were still there. I got a hallow egg for my Godson, and the staff was happy to write his name on the egg(just as the Easter Bunny did for me and my brother!). My Goddaughter is only a year old, so instead of a whole egg, I opted to get her a small little chocolate kitty cat. I also picked up a package of gummy bunnies, and a peanut butter egg for my husband. The staff was very friendly. One woman chatted me up and rang me up, while another woman wrote my Godson’s name on his egg. I am beyond thrilled that this location opened, as it is very convenient to my office, while I run most of my errands at lunch time, and this give me a better opportunity to support a local business, and continue a tradition from my childhood now with my Godchildren.
