Like many parks, the parking lot is not big enough. Sure, there’s street parking but if this park ever gets full use that’s gonna be a problem I don’t think the residents would stand for. I visited late in the evening Jan. 1 and found the park empty. There were people by their cars on the street but not in the park. It is a very good size park that families can take advantage of for gatherings and sports. There is a baseball diamond, 2 basketball courts, 4 tennis courts, 2 volleyball courts and a soccer field. There is a children’s playground infront of the center by the parking lot. The center has a kitchen and 2 meeting rooms. You can call(808) 681‑6435 to make arrangements to use those features. The park facility is open 9am to 5pm Mon to Friday, closed Saturday and Sunday. However, the rest of the park is open every day 8am to 9:30pm. No alcahol, animals, camping, vehicles on grass, golfing, littering or open fires. Towards the back, there was a small fire that was put out. Behind the big grassy park area, left of the tennis courts, is the big field. You can cut through the back, cross the water drainage(used as an access road by maintenance crews and petroleum staff) to get across to other residential housing. To the right of the facility you’ll find many cats here. In the shrubs there are several shelters put together for the catsr. Cereal and other food items are scattered in this area too. A number of water trays are present as well. Looking over the cats, they are healthy fat and very skittish. There was a lady in the parking lot whom I spotted later bringing water to the cats in the shrubs. Beyond this is that drainage used as a road. I was looking for the trail that hugs the West Loch to see what shape it was in. Traveling beyond this road I could almost see the water but there is a locked gate put up by the petroleum company. I decided I would flank left to gain access, however, there was a group of homeless people arguing about something. I thought best to stay away since no one knows I’m here and hidden from public eyes. Although I felt all right, better not to take the risk at this time. This is a good park. I hope it gets used enough but you may have to watch for some elements that could become unsafe.

We took our son here to play one weekend. It was dirty; noodles, cereal, and empty bottles on the ground of the play area. Some of the kids before had poured water all down the slide so it was wet and gross… but my son didn’t mind any of this. He enjoyed running around and going down the slide and running around in the grass. I miss living closer to Patsy Mike park because the facilities were always clean there. But, this was good enough for a quick play.
