Bump-n-Jump Bounce

I was looking for a last minute bouncer for a child’s party and came across this company in a Craigslist ad. I tried looking into them, but the only review I could find was two years old, and the webpage had expired. Still, desperation makes a lot of things acceptable, so I ignored the red flags and called the listed number.
The woman who answered – Charity? Chastity? – patiently answered my many questions, and she was equally patient when my husband called back a few hours later. She also responded pretty quickly to a message sent through her Facebook page.
She’d said that the slide was available and that we could pay $ 50 for delivery and then the rest when the bouncer arrived, so we decided that even if it was awful, we were only out the delivery. We found a space that would work for the bouncer and left a message asking how we could pay. She didn’t call back. We called a few more times – we really were desperate – and left a message on the FB page. No response.
I don’t know if this isn’t legitimate or if the woman had just decided that we weren’t worth the trouble and was ignoring us. Either way, someone who can’t even call back isn’t someone I’d trust to come through for any important event.
