I ordered a tray of baklava for my girlfriend’s birthday, and it was delicious! I haven’t tried anything else here yet, but the baklava gets 5-stars on its own!

The building is made strange so you walking in until you get to to the register then you are seated. The service seems kind of rushed. I ordered a lamb and beef gyro which came with fries. The meat was ok… a little dry… fries are freshly cut but the tzanini is awful. Its thick and nasty and I didn’t taste any cucumbers. I have wanted to try this place for some time but I doubt if I come back… my favorite gyro and hummus spot on rt.33… Afgan has them beat… there tzanini sauce is to die for. The waiter didn’t bring extra napkins and only checked on me once when I needed my check

Since I am down in the Hopewell area for the week I wanted to make sure to check out some of the local haunts and sure enough this place came right up on my Unilocal search. It couldn’t have been better because it’s not far from the hotel I am staying, so it only made sense to grab dinner right after work before heading back for the night. Although the ambiance is a little dated it still has a lot of charm and a little bit of a diner feel. My waitress quickly took my order order and before you know it my lemon soup was out and ready. My goodness was that delicious, so fresh and bright from the lemon and huge chunks of juicy white chicken too. Not long after the house salad came out which was so perfect in potion size and had a great simple oil dressing. The only problem that I faced was when my entrée came out, the plate was overflowing with beef and lamb gyro meat along with a big mound of lemon potatoes and pita. I couldn’t even bring myself to try the pita or the potatoes out of fear of hitting the food wall. Well, even just having the meat I still crashed about half way through just because there was so much. Fortunately the waitress saw my situation and quickly brought me a take out container for my leftovers… I know that will go very quickly tomorrow at the office. Be sure to check this place out if you’re in the area, I know that I’ll be back next time I’m down this way. Hope you enjoy!

If you like authentic Greek food this is a great option. Went there Friday night with a group of friends, and we were all very happy with our meals. They served a large Greek salad family style, which was delicious and not over dressed. The chicken souvlaki was tender and tasty. This restaurant has come a long way since the last time I ate here. both the food and the service was very good. Everyone in our party of 8 was very pleased with our meal. A must visit for those Greek food lovers out there.

Was taken here for my birthday, was not disappointed. The grilled octopus is a must order. Succulent and tender chunks of octopus on a bed of greens with a tart lemon vinaigrette. I ordered the Liga Apo Ola, a sizeable platter with spanikopita, pastichio, moussaka, a stuffed grape leaf, and lemon potatoes. Everything was good, the portion was huge. Save space though, the baklava is killer. Get here early, they stop seating well before closing. Or even better, call ahead an order to go. Just be sure to get the octopus and baklava.

Just taking a chance, so glad I did. This is a good spot… And the food is great! I ordered several dishes, everything was above our expectations and filling. The lemon potatoes are excellent! You can order online with ease and there were no hiccups with online special request — take home. This will be my new Greek spot in that area. And the staff is cool also!

Excellent authentic food. I want to stop here every time I am in trenton. Cute atmosphere! Had a bad first experience, the food took absolutely forever to come out. Id say over an hour and 20 mins and we were all starving so it was really frustrating. However, the food is just so good I had to keep coming back. Plus she gave us a free dessert. Lots of vegetarian dishes as well. Love this place!!!

It’s often a challenge to find good Greek food in New Jersey, but this Mercer County spot fits the bill. Out with a friend for an early dinner on a balmy Sunday evening, Mikonos offered up quick service and a menu of familiar eats(gyro, souvlaki, moussaka, et al) with some less common choices(a wide range of lamb dishes, stuffed eggplant). We both kept it simple with a gyro platter: the plate was overflowing with wedges of warm and chewy pita, nicely tart lemon potatoes, and strips of well spiced, just-charred-enough lamb/beef with an appropriately tangy tzatziki on the side. More than enough food for two meals.

We came here for dinner to celebrate our third wedding anniversary. A coworker of mine recommended this place to me a few months back, but being a creature of habit, I like to stick with my small, trustworthy list of restaurants that I know won’t disappoint me when I’m dining out. However, our wedding anniversary dinner was the impetus I needed to get me out of my food rut and into this restaurant to try something new.(My husband loves Greek food, having spent a few of weeks in Greece several years ago, so I didn’t need to twist his arm to come here) We started off with the hummus as an appetizer. I liked it, but it was different than the hummus I’m accustomed to from the Middle Eastern restaurants I frequent. I’m not sure that the hummus would be something I would order regularly. For the entrée, I had the lamb shank cooked in a red wine tomato sauce with orzo. My husband had the liga apo ola. We traded bites back and forth. I absolutely LOVED my entrée. I kept eating… and eating… and eating. I had to stop because I needed to save room for dessert. I really liked the stuffed grape leaves from his entrée, as well as the lemon potatoes(SO lemony and so good!) and the pastitsio. He loved everything on his plate. For dessert, he had the baklava and I had the galagtobureko. As the name somewhat suggests, it’s literally like a burrito of fried custard wrapped in phyllo dough drenched in honey. It was incredibly sweet and I probably will never order it again now that my curiosity has been satisfied. I had a bite of his baklava, which was also amazing, but I wouldn’t be able to order it for myself since nuts hurt my insides. :(He also had a Greek coffee with his baklava and enjoyed that, as well. The service was decent. Our poor server first noted that my dish was lamb shank(it was listed as lamb cubes on the menu), then came back to say it was actually lamb chunks, then finally came back again to say that, jk, it was really lamb shank. The shank vs cube thing made no difference to me since bones don’t scare me, but some people could be turned off by that. I pretty much had to be rolled out of the restaurant after our phenomenal, filling meal. We both had enough left over for lunch the next day. God, writing this review has made me hungry. We look forward to adding this place to our regular rotation. The meal with appetizer, two entrees, two desserts, coffee, tax, and tip came to about $ 70, which was about what we expected to spend for an important dinner out. As noted, this restaurant is BYOB.

I will always love this place. The food is great and the service is even better. I recently came here with some friend and family(party of 10), the staff was extremely accommodating and patient with a wild and boozed up bunch of Irish and Italians.

I order the«ligo apo ola» plate. It has small portions of main other dishes. Pastitsio, moussaka, spanakopita, stuffed grape leave(dolma), tzatziki and lemon potatoes. Everything was delicious.

Imagine stepping into the Greek Island of Mikonos — alluring whitewashed facades of sloping seaside villages contrast the effervescent blue sea and sky. Winding cobblestone paths lead down to serene sun-kissed beaches that are interrupted only by dramatic cliffs and gentle waves. Lose yourself in the land of the gods and goddesses, as you wander from alley to alley in pursuit of pure and utter bliss of lamb and beef gyro. But instead of finding it, you suddenly arrive in a orbital suburb of Trenton and Mikonos restaurant. Although the Greek today sits mired in their own messes they have given the world so much, perhaps the very concept of civilisation itself. That and their busty women(such as Marina Sirtris) is the reason I love Greek so much. Does anyone remember the Greek chicken and falafel guy on Market Street in Philadelphia? I don’t see him any more. Very friendly service owner operated with local staff. Building looks good on the outside but is a little rough on the inside. Not in a bad way, just a little outdated — it appears clean. Although Ewing is technically a part of Trenton this place is in a very safe suburb — you could walk around at night perfectly safely — this is close to the airport. The beef and lamb gyro platter at this place is excellent and achieves the perfect fat to meat ration(50/50).Try the lemony potato but do note that I’m deducting one star because the don’t have Falafel. If they put Falafel on the menu I will instantly upgrade to five stars. Prices are medium — I’d like to see them 10% lower to reflect the area etc.

This is a great little gem of a greek place that has excellent food, good service and is very affordable. I went at lunch time and got the gyro platter, and the funny thing was that as good as the gyro meet was, the lemon potatoes stole the show and the side salad was excellent as well. Definitely a good place to get your greek fix.

Good food with terrible service. With two people in my group the issues started when we arrived. Only one of us was brought a beverage, we had to wait a few minutes for a second water. While every restaurant has it’s bad days, I still feel obligated to comment on my experience. Our waiter couldn’t seem to care at all about our table. Barely even speaking to us and essentially running away from the table at every chance. The restaurant had an extremely minimal drink selection, no juices and only soda and pink lemonade. No drink selection was even provided to us. My colleague had to run through a list of drinks that he wanted to only be told that thy didn’t have it — why wouldn’t you simply tell your customers what you DO have? After ordering our lunch we were delivered the wrong food. After correcting the mistake the waiter never returned to check in on us, ask us how our food was, or even provide a drink refill. Is that how you really treat your customers? The kicker is that there were only 6 groups of people in the restaurant, not exactly packed. Maybe if you’re not a regular this is what you get.

Delicious Greek food at a great price and with generous portions. This was my first time to this restaurant(although I am a frequent visitor to this area), but it most certainly won’t be my last! My father ordered the beef and lamb gyro, and I had the papoutsaki. He noted the gyro meat was tender and flavorful, the pita was fresh and soft, and the gyro was topped with fresh vegetables and tasty Tzatziki sauce. I have never had papoutsaki before, but it instantly became a vegetarian favorite with perfectly-cooked eggplant filled with grilled vegetables and topped with creamy yet crispy toasted cheese. Both of our dishes came with a side of potatoes and mine with a small but fresh side salad, so it was more than enough food. The service was very friendly and attentive and again, the prices were very good for the quantity and quality of food. Expect a casual but relatively quiet and relaxed atmosphere. My father commented at the end of the meal he’d like this to be «our place» next time we visit the area.

I was pleasantly surprised with Mikonos. I drive by this restaurant often but don’t think much about it. Now that I tried it I’ll definitely be back. The humus appetizer was very good. Just regular humus, but very tasty with a nice hint of citrus. The pita that comes with the humus had a nice touch of char flavor also. The pastichio was delicious. It had a nice mix of herbs with the ground beef and the noodles were cooked just right. The top was finished with a touch of tomato sauce. For desert I had galatoboureko. It’s a sweet custard wrapped in phyllo dough. It was delicious! I will have this every time I go back. Finally, the service was good. Everyone was friendly and the food was timed right. The atmosphere is ok but nothing to write home about.

Mikonos is another place that I could only guess has a lot of friends write reviews for them. I only say this since my experience was so different from what I see listed here. The tzatziki was NOT good, the gyro meat was old and dry(doubt they have a vertical broiler) and the pita was thick, chewy and hard to cut or chew. The young man that served us was great, though he never told us his name. The other two servers just looked at there phones most of the time even though I heard one of them say that it was busier than expected. One of them even sat at the booth behind us with her head on the table as she talked on the phone. We ordered some zucchini croquets to go but we were given spaghetti and meats balls instead.
