Nice tranquil atmosphere, friendly and professional service. I felt pampered in the clean environment and my mani pedi was one of the best I have ever received. On the pricey side, but a treat nonetheless.

A jewel in Excelsior. Beautifully decorated and clean. A relaxing environment for any service. The owner Kay is present and focused on making sure customers are satisfied. Open for large groups or a personal getaway. Check it out.

Front desk staff not friendly; not interested in customer service. Technician was on his phone while doing my daughter’s nails. Will not return. Much nicer staff with less expensive options close by.

This is a great place! I saw some of the other comments and I have not experienced any of the issues: the people at the reception are young smart women, not arrogant at all. And as far as up-sell, by no means any more than in any other salon of the kind — in fact rather the contrary. These are small businesses that work hard to survive. Their services are excellent and very price-competitive, their people are competent and nice. Give them a try!

So let me start this off by saying my bad. I bought a Groupon for a spa mani/pedi package and didn’t notice it said new customers only. So I can’t be too upset that I wasn’t able to take advantage of such a wonderful deal. However I am also I FIRM believer in making sure you have happy clients and when it’s been since the salon first opened since their last visit I would have extended the offer in hopes to make a returning client. The first time around couldn’t have been that outstanding because I haven’t been back since. I want to also say that I have worked in the beauty industry for the past 10 years and my clients were my first priority, if they weren’t happy, neither was I. So this is how it went… I walked in and was greeted by 2 teenagers that seemed like they couldn’t care less to be there. No smiles, not cheerful, not the slightest bit helpful. After being told that my voucher was only good for new clients but my money could be used for services they asked me to pick out a color of polish. I found it weird that after asking if I still wanted to do mani/pedi together and I said no, there was no other options given even when it would have been nice to know the various pedicure services that were offered. Really all I wanted was the pedi but thought getting a package with a mani was a nice bonus. So I stuck with my spa pedi only and wandered around the kind of cramped entrance. After standing around for a while I was told that I could go wait in the lounge until my sister got there. Tiffany was the woman that did my pedicure. She was very sweet and seemed to take her time. Her massage was very relaxing and my nails looked really wonderful when she was done. When we went to pay we the total for the spa pedi was $ 40. The Groupon was a $ 47 value. So after taking the total away you’re left with $ 7 of money that you have spent. We asked if it could be transferred to our nail techs as tips and told no there was NO other options given. Not a you can put that towards this or that. Just we can only give tips off of cards or cash. So there we stand not only disappointed that we couldn’t take advantage of the deal we are paying $ 47 for a service that only cost $ 40. So we left feeling ripped off. Not to mention that we couldn’t leave our techs high and dry and not tip them. It’s not there fault. So needless to say I will not be returning. The only reason it gets 2 stars is Tiffany. Those are only for her. If I could give her the stars alone I would give her 4. But I can’t separate out her services from this review. There are cheaper, friendlier, more professional salons out there that I would way rather spend my money at. I definitely don’t like feeling ripped off with an attitude.

I’ve had pedicures here and loved them. It’s clean and they do a good job. It is more expensive, though, than other places I’ve been to. I recently purchased a special for a $ 65 body scrub or body wrap. I decided to do the body scrub(normally priced $ 75) to help get any dead skin off going into summer. I had no idea what to expect & did a bit of research. My experience at Excelsior Spa was not like any of my research. The appointment was supposed to be 60 minutes(their website says 65 minutes, the brochure sitting in the waiting are says 60 minutes). My name was called 5 min late by a nice lady for my appointment and I pulled into my driveway(~8 minutes away) exactly an hour later. The scrub itself maybe took 20 minutes. To clean off the scrub, she used a wet towel that she soaked in a tub of water after wiping down each body part. Didn’t seem very clean to me to keep using the same tub of water. She scrubbed my entire front(minus my breasts & face, and with minimal time on my hands/feet/elbows), then flipped me over and scrubbed my back only. Then she lathered oil on me, massaged my stomach and said we were done. My skin feels soft(partially because I’m covered in oil), but I think the scrubbing could have been more thorough & lasted longer. The website describes this service as an «intense exfoliation.» It was not intense. I could have done this at home by myself for free with the same results. After my appointment, I notified the front desk of my disappointment — particularly that my 60 min appointment had me at the front desk 40 min later. She smiled and simply said«OK,» then sent me on my way. A very unfortunate way to handle a customer’s valid complaint. I will not be back for anything other than a pedicure or manicure in the future.

The staff always do an amazing job! They have never cut me during a manicure which is a first. I love the way they shape my nails! A great relaxing environment!

Do not waste you time or money on this place. everything is up sell, up sell, up sell. The people at the check in desk were condescending and out and out rude. I really don’t find that type of experience relaxing at all. I’ve been to many a nail salon and spa in my day, and I have never left an appointment feeling frustrated and irritated by a «spa» visit. Give this place a pass! Plenty of other salons out there who provide quality services without the attitude!

Hands down, my favorite place to get a pedicure. The atmosphere is clean, light and relaxing. The service is great. In terms of pricing it’s higher than the average«strip mall» nail salon, but the service and cleanliness is worth it. I have never left disappointed!

We’ve needed a place like this in the Excelsior area for a long time. There are a lot of nail places but with cleanliness and safety being one of my top priorities, I’ve become increasingly turned off by the really inexpensive«hole in the wall» places. It’s hard to relax when you wonder how many other feet they’ve used a file or tool on and at Excelsior Nail Spa you can tell a major difference just stepping in the door. It’s very clean and open and I like that you can see they’ve sanitized their tools(and they use new files for each client). I end up paying an extra $ 10-$ 20 more here than other places(with tip) depending on if I’m getting a mani or mani/pedi but, as they saying goes, you get what you pay for and I’m willing to pay a bit more for safety as well as a really lovely and relaxing environment. I haven’t tried a massage or facial there yet but I plan to based on all the previous reviews. I did have my eyebrows done there recently and they did an excellent job and the price was extremely reasonable. This will for sure be my new eyebrow spot. Overall, a very friendly, well run and relaxing atmosphere with great service. If I had to «complain» at all which I’m not — sometimes some of the girls at the front desk are not as friendly/welcoming as they could be and it seems that this is connected with how busy they are and they get frazzled. So — either they need some extra support for busier days or just some training on remaining calm under pressure. We are all there to relax and it’s just nails so don’t worry if we have to wait a few minutes — don’t come across frazzled or stressed out — that conveys to the client and can impact our experience. Again — this is a nit comment and more to continue to have a great business like this thrive in Excelsior. Overall, an excellent salon that is very well run and a great addition to Excelsior.

I recently visited Excelsior Nails & Day Spa with a girlfriend for a little R&R. It is hard to find a good nail salon that has high standards in cleanliness which also has reasonable prices. Usually the cheaper, the dirtier! I was very pleased with this particular nail salon. All of the staff was polite and professional. They had awesome packages and the atmosphere and décor was very nice. I got a pedicure and a 60 minute massage, both were heavenly! They did a great job on the nails and I will be going back for more massage and to try other spa treatments! If you are in the area, this is a fun place to treat yourself. Grab lunch at one of the cute spots on Water Street and walk around the shops for a full day of relaxation!

Seriously this place was amazing! I booked a massage off groupon and wasn’t sure what to expect but my massage was amazing. The décor is very soothing and calming, you get a choice of oils for the massage and my massage therapist was the nicest! She made sure to really work on my tense areas and the whole experience was just fantastic! I will definitely be back. Also, I got a glimpse of the VIP room and I would love to get the chance to experience it!

Went here with a couple of friends for Pedicures. We got the $ 55 Spa Pedi that included: exfoliation scrub, cuticle trimming, nail cutting/filing/shaping, moisture masque on feet, stone massage on lower leg & foot, hot towels, manual massage on lower leg, paraffin dip of feet, & polish application. Wow. Technique of Nail Technician, Amy, was top notch. Really well done, very smooth massaging, stones didn’t burn me, polish application was perfect. Lovely place.

My adult daughter was visiting from out of town. As part of her short visit we were going to get manicures together. I had been to this nail spa once before, had to wait 10 minutes or so, but no big deal. This time with appointments made days in advance we had a 30 minute wait, and then we finally just walked out. They had a child’s birthday party in the back, and apparently were short staffed. Terrible customer service and terrible management. UPDATE– The owner just emailed me and offered her sincere apologies and a complimentary manicure at a future date for both my daughter and myself. Unfortunately my daughter lives in Boston. She said there are some management issues. Obviously! It was really disorganized. However, mistakes happen and just glad to see the owner cares and apologized. Hopefully they will get their act together. It is a lovely salon inside. I would recommend to them to not host birthday parties. They should focus on being a pampering high end spa, which they have the potential of being.

I recently booked a massage at Excelsior Nails and Spa… wow. felt super luxurious and was transported to paradise like sleep. The highest compliment I can pay a place is that when I am so comfortable and the massage is so good that I fall asleep or get into my zone I know I will be back. I love a clean, beautiful, warm atmosphere for a massge and my therapist provided that plus additional perks with armatheropy and Aveda products. I enjoyed my experience and booked my next visit immediately afterwards. I am would highly recommend this spa for massage and am still glowing from the massage.

Not your average Asian nail spa. ***** where customer experience and service are paramount. English speaking I enjoyed a stone massage pedi with foot wax and a 15 minute neck rub«wake me up when it’s over’ to classical music in a calm indirect lighting excellent salon. Love this place.
