Tommy’s Tonka Trolley

I hadn’t been to Tommy’s before but my girlfriend invited me to join her on a «half price» deal she had. We happened to pick the perfect day for paddle boarding. Calm, sunny and warm. When I came into town I was looking for a larger storefront. Just know that «Tommy’s» is a small, free standing vendor that also sells some frozen treats and drinks.
At first I was a little hesitant on what to expect but overall pleasantly surprised. Staff is younger but very knowledgeable, helpful and I agree couldn’t have been nicer. If you are renting any equipment you’ll need to fill out all the necessary «waiver» info and the computers are all located outside «behind» Tommy’s small store front. Be sure to check hours too.
Unless you have some kind of a discount coupon I think renting here on a routine basis could get expensive at $ 20 per hour (the discount allowed us to rent for 2 hours for the same price which would normally have cost $ 40). This bay on the lake is beautiful and there are lots of places to explore. I might recommend to avoid crowds (and a lot of boat waves) try to make time during the week for your first adventure.

Got a Groupon. Had to reschedule twice because of weather, and that was no problem. Internet and phone help was polite, and helpful. When we did get there for stand-​up paddleboard session, we were outfitted and on our boards within minutes. The young people working there couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. We will definitely go back
