I’m going to blast Las Olas, based on repeated screw-ups and the laissez-faire attitude of the people working there. After enduring many insane waits while the server takes my order(always for a single taco), throws my tortillas on the grill, and then proceeds to take the orders of individuals 4 and 5 deep behind me, forcing me to wait while my tortillas burn, today was the last straw. I called ahead by 35 minutes to order a simple bean taco on corn tortillas. When I arrived to pick up my food, it wasn’t there. I was told, after waiting, that«she made it wrong — with a flour tortilla — she’s going to remake it now»(big smile and an oh-so-relaxed-we-could-care-less-if-you-have-a-half-hour-lunch-and-that’s-why-you-called-ahead expression). Incredible. So, when was the discovery made that the order wasn’t made right? Because nothing under my name was waiting for me on the pick-up counter. The girl did remake it, but then it sat on the counter. And sat. Must’ve been 3 whole minutes before I asked if they could expedite the taco«that’s just sitting there». This is when the brunette who generally works the counter sidles up to the girl prepping the orders with the standard cilantro, lettuce, and lime, and mouths something to her while sneering and snickering. I endured that b.s. and waited. Waited some more. It really did seem as though they were making an extra effort to extend my wait rather than shorten it. This sneering brunette then held onto my food and asked if I would like a bag. That’s a laugh — I’ve never been offered a bag at Las Olas and I always order the same thing. This is the last time I patronize this location — the Las Olas in Hampton is far superior in food quality, customer service, and attitude. I hope the manager takes note of this review — the disorganization behind that counter and lack of streamlining the whole process forces folks to wait far longer than they should have to — and when an order is called in in advance it should be ready for pick-up on time, and made correctly. Also, the counter people(particularly this brunette) need to lose the attitude.

Food is great, but one of the most dis-organized places I’m been to. Long lines, servers seem to not care your waiting so long. Wish it could be better because the food is good.

I was very disappointed at the restaurant tonight. The staff was not friendly at all. Everyone had frowns on their faces and didn’t greet anyone. Next time I will call ahead and order for pick up. Maybe the reason why they have so many pick up orders is because the staff is so unfriendly but the food is good.

I split large vegetarian nachos, and was definitely full afterwards. Chips were good, as well all of the toppings. I suggest going for the mango salsa as I found it to be quite a nice addition. I can’t say anything else about the menu, other than I’d like to try more as I had a good experience with the nachos.

We love las olas in Hampton and this was our first visit to Exeter area. Same great food and fantastic quality. My daughter loves the chicken quesadilla and LOVES the diced tomatoes — because they as fresh and«taste like our garden tomatoes». The reason I will be AVOIDING this location is the entire place was full of obnoxious, loud and inconsiderate Phillips Exeter academy students. It was like being in a school cafeteria without the discipline. Conversation was impossible to hold over the LOUD screechy girls and LOUDER boys competing for their voices to be heard. I am not sure what Las Olas can do about this problem– but I will be looking to spend our Tuesday nights elsewhere!!!

Good food real quick! I prefer to take away dinner than sit and stay.

I work in EMS and I get exposed to a lot of crappie fast food. This place is a welcome change from McDunkin Douchbag. The veggies are fresh, the meat is well spiced and the people are friendly. If you like Chipotle, you will love this place.

I used to love this place. Family and I would come regularly and everything was so flavorful and fresh. It’s definitely gone down hill. The guac now tastes like it is from a can and the chicken is fatty and lacks the flavor it used to have. Disappointed.

This is a long overdue review. I have continued to eat here over the years and like a fine wine, with time the place has aged well! I’m good for a carnitas salad once a week. The portions are great and well worth the $ 9 for a salad. Service has been very friendly. Any kinks I saw in the last seem to have been resolved. The pork is locally sourced from my favorite farm. Great work Las Olas. Thanks for keeping me full!

I enjoy their vegetarian burritos and tacos. The salsas are fresh and tasty, cheese is good and beans are good both black and pinto. A good place for a quick good sized burrito.

*Sad attempt to solve nothing* I received a response back from the manager wanting more info. I don’t know what more I can provide. I don’t know anyone’s name, as I don’t recall name tags and I am not going to say it was the big girl or small girl, as they were all just as equally rude. He explained my description of dirty rags, as stained. He said he has never heard of his staff being rude before, well just read some earlier reviews from other people, cause I found quite a few. Again, don’t know why he wants to talk to me, I pretty much explained it clearly. I think its time for a staff change. Best wishes!

You should know I am a Texan. I was visiting NH for work and the last place on Earth I wanted to go to have lunch was a Mexican food joint; I can get top-notch stuff at home. But, I wasn’t paying, so we went. And I am here to tell you that this Texan thinks it’s home of probably one of the best burritos I have ever eaten. EVER. Think of it as a Chipotle with a hometown touch. Choose your meat(chose the chorizo, which isn’t really true chorizo, but has great flavor), add rice, choose your type of beans, then add veggies. I did the standard veggies plus some guacamole. Add in cilantro and lime. The salsa is what’s key here. There are several types with different variations of heat. I added mild pico de gallo, and then added their citrus chimichurri as well FLAVOREXPLOSION! The chorizo combined with the chimichurri was incredible! Sweetness, some tartness, some meaty goodness and spices all combined for a burrito I wished wouldn’t end. I don’t know when I’ll be in Exeter again, but when I am, you’ll know where to find me!

Went there today on a whim. It was really good food. Friendly staff behind the counter with a great sense of humor. I loved the atmosphere for a quick bite to eat. Will be back

As someone with food allergies and a love for burritos I highly recommend this place. Everything, other than the tortillas, is gluten free so its easy to avoid. Dairy allergies, vegetarian or vegan? Not a problem. Their build your own service is great and accommodating. I love their sweet potatoes in my burritos, the portobello s are great too. They also have a great variety of salsas from pico de gallo, pineapple to one that includes carrot!

I enjoyed my meal and beer at Las Olas and would come back for another visit. I went for a chicken burrito with brava salsa, chips with pico de gallo, and finished it off with a Dos Equis Ambar. I have certainly had better Mexican food in other parts of New England, but Las Olas was better than most chains and the food was flavorful and very reasonably priced. I also intend to check out the other Mexican places in Exeter while I’m here on business, but I can safely recommend Las Olas.

Warning: This place can become very addictive. Consistently good food and service. Could use a little better ventilation as sometimes it can be overwhelmingly smokey. I always make time to stop at Las Olas anytime I am in the area. Definitely better than Chipotle and has offerings you’ll never find at the big burrito chains… like their out-of-this-world Pineapple Salsa and Carrot Salsa just to name a couple.

Love love love this place! I come here at least twice a month every other Tuesday. It has the best burrito I have ever eaten. Better than Chipotle, I’d say. The price is reasonable. I would definitely recommend coming here for a quick lunch!

Let me preface this with a note that I love this place. I’ve been getting the pork burrito for close to a decade now, and I have always been a passionate fan of Las – purchasing shirts, proudly displaying the bumper sticker, and insisting that I will name my first child ‘Pork Burrito with Guac’ since the first time I tried it. I’m so thrilled to see the franchise expand to Hampton and Wells, and I hope that them expand to Durham and Hampton Beach(maybe in a food truck??) as well. But it’s hard to ignore the recent decline in quality – the cheese is no longer steamed into the tortilla, the portions of rice and beans have decreased ever-so slightly, and the vegetables taste less fresh. I’ve sometimes had to switch to a bowl, as it is noticeably more food for the same cost. The past few times I’ve been the burritos have been a bit leaky and sometimes poorly wrapped. All things considered, this is still the best burrito place on the seacoast, and possibly New Hampshire. They are entirely deserving of the annual awards they bring home, and the staff is never anything but amicable and smiling. If I’m getting Mexican food, there is simply no other choice. The drop in quality is concerning, and I hope the alarming trend does not continue, but if there is any restaurant I expect to make a triumphant return, it’s Las.

I’m surprised to see such a low Unilocal rating! Las Olas is my favorite place to grab a quick bite to eat, period. If I had the money to be here everyday, you bet I would be savoring the contents of the mouth watering verde chicken quesadilla on the daily. I am absolutely floored by the service and quality of the food here. I would bring all of my friends here to visit and try the amazing food, by all and any means! If you’re looking for the cool place to hang out with a relaxed surfer vibe on the Seacoast, head on over to Las Olas. It’s worth the drive and the cheddar.
