This cafe has ok food its rather run down inside, but the worse of it is the hostess/cashier. Downright rude and bullying is the only way to describe her manner. This cafe leaves a bad taste in your mouth!

This place has the best home made hash. Service is normally prompt and friendly. It can get cramped in here fast due to lack of seating.

It is not too bad diner but you can find so many diners like this one with with better service and better food. Nothing special. The food is avarage and so does service.

This is a true hidden gem! Great food, good value, friendly fast service! Eggs Benedict was cooked perfectly with a great sauce and nice thick ham. The baked beans are like my mother used to make. The home fries had good flavor and the steak was thick, juicy and cooked just right. Under new owner — I highly recommend it!

We love this place for breakfast! The service is friendly, the food is delicious comes quickly and is made with fresh ingredients, and the prices are very good! Their home fries are made with fresh potatoes, iced tea is fresh brewed ice tea, real veggies in the omelettes, fresh eggs in the omelettes too, real baked beans and creative daily specials. Our only wish is that they served fresh bread from any of the local bakeries. The seating area is small and you may encounter a short wait, and they are cash only.

Came in for breakfast on Saturday morning. Darcy’s service was quick and friendly. Food was typical diner breakfast fare, except that the pancakes were huge. After 30′ I was full for the day and I only spent $ 12 total for breakfast for me and my son.

Used to really love this place. Recently reopened with new owners. Just not the same anymore. If I wanted hash out of a can… well, I wouldn’t even eat that at home. Unfortunate.

I had a multi grain waffle and fruit chip which were pretty good(no real maple syrup though), and my group shared the day’s special pancake(chocolate chip bacon) which was mediocre. Service was ok but the atmosphere was cramped and crowded.

The Trackside Café is a full service breakfast and lunch place located inside the back of Gerry’s Variety, right next to the Exeter Amtrak station. The menu offerings include eggs, omelettes, pancakes, sandwiches, salads, soups, and grilled items. Coke products(by the can) and Donahue Bros Coffee are offered here. Daily specials are offered and the prices here are pretty reasonable. Tollhouse(choc chips & walnut pancakes) and chili cheese dogs were some specials offered. See the menu at I stopped here for Saturday breakfast and the place was fairly busy with the long lunch counter filled with regulars and most of the few tables nearby occupied with families. The atmosphere is a bit noisy due to many conversations going on and echoing. Amtrak trains can be seen rolling in and out of the station through the window. It took a few moments to be waited on, but I was offered coffee($ 1.25) and I ordered immediately. I had the special Sausage, Pepper, Onion & Provolone Omelette($ 5.75) served with home fries & toast(I had raisin). The folded omelette was pretty good, stuffed with tasty fillings(cut sausage patties) and the provolone cheese in the omelette was a plus! However, the homefries were okay, which were deep fried potatoes. The buttered raisin toast went well with the omelette. The service was very attentive and efficient. I was offered refills and topoffs on the hot coffee even after I received my check(note: the board indicates a 2 refill limit on coffee, but the staff kept the mugs full anyways).
