Royal Farms

I had cleared the Chesapeake Bridge/​Tunnel, and I was running low on water. I was also a bit hungry, and this was the first place that caught my eye. I parked, and already got a bad vibe from the place. I walked in nonetheless.
I looked for a gallon of water, and found that they only sold the smaller bottles. I didn’t really see a good selection of snack to munch on while I found an actual sit down diner. I used their restroom, which was ok as far as cleanliness. I did not like the crowd here, and I promptly left.
Maybe to some this is a better experience, but this place had nothing for me. It is highly unlike that I will be back, both because I didn’t like the place, and also because I probably won’t be travelling through here again.

Looks like this Royal Farms made a SECOND Unilocal page (look at the browser address bar) when I posted my review on this location back in 2013. I guess they didn’t like my complaint about the flies. The original review will be pasted below, and stands to this day. The flies in this place are horrible. There’s no sense in why this can’t be controlled. Nice try RoFo on making a second page for this location when Unilocal wouldn’t remove my original review, which is as follows.

«Only ONE of the machines that takes food orders works. This is CHAOS during lunch time.
The „cooks“ act lazy and like they just don’t want to be there. You have a ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ chance of them messing up your order, as they did mine, as well as two others that came up to complain while I was waiting for them to recook my food.
Oh, I didn’t mention the flies. There are flies, lots of them. Stand by the kitchen area and look at the food being prepared and brace yourself.
If you want RoFo food, head a bit further north to Onley and they’ll hook you up. Avoid this Exmore location at all costs.»

would you like some fly larva in your coffee? didn’t think so, Inside I must say this place looks and feels like a Dump, nothing at the drink stations is tended to. The chicken is hit or miss depending how it was cooked.
We stopped in this location 2 times coming and going to Atlantic city and if i never go back it will be to soon. Between the Flies listening to Marvin Gaye music and making love in the Mocha bottle to dirty floors and residue all over the counters I think ill pass

This is a good place to fill up whatever you need… your car or your belly!
Stopped here for gas on my way back from OBX to NYC and was able to fill up quickly. The place was very clean, they had stuff to clean your windows available and I was in and out quickly.
This was nicer than the Sunoco I stopped at on the way down.
