3.5 stars for this local establishment. I’m rounding up for their unique dishes, but sadly they fell a little short. My crew and I stopped here for a work dinner on a Wednesday night. The place had a decent crowd and parking was ample. Our server was friendly but gave way too many recommendations. I prefer it when they pick out one or two items from each section. I decided upon the special which was Char. When I asked her what type of fish Char was, she responded a cross between trout and salmon… hmmmm, ok. Before my fish, I ordered a salad with goat cheese and for the price it was a little skimpy. Once my char arrived, it actually tasted really good and nothing like salmon. The portion was fine but a little over priced. My guests ordered a fish n chips platter(a little too much batter) and a fish sandwich. All in all, not a bad option while staying in Exton.

I’ve been there twice, and I’m not sure if want to go back again. Pizza is delicious, but the sandwiches were just impossible to eat. The bread was too hard(not to say burnt), it was difficult to bite it, cut it, there was no easy way to eat it. Let’s hope it was only my bad luck, but because of that experience my impression of that place is not best. Casual OK place.

Just want to thank everyone at Brickside for a wonderful New Year’s Eve celebration dinner. Your staff was excellent, including our server Greg. We had seven of us in our party including three preteens and even they had a blast. The chocolate fountain was a huge success. When so many other restaurant look at NYE for a chance to price gouge their customers, it’s so nice to find a neighborhood gem not trying to take advantage of their customers and even adding a few freebies such as the chocolate fountain. Thanks again for helping make our night special and I plan on posting this to Unilocal and other sites. Happy New Year!

I love Brickside. I was in there last Saturday and had the best server. I believe her name was Erica??? I would go back anytime just to have Erica as a server. Overall, it was a great experience. #Brickside

I was at the bar and had the steamed little necks. The broth was a bit too strong. It was ok, but I’ve had batter. The bartender overcharged me for a beer I paid for earlier. When I brought it to her attention she never apologized and blamed it on the earlier bartender. She wasn’t in a very good mood to begin with and wasn’t happy about having to take $ 3 off the bill.

The celebration for my sister and her fiancée’s engagement was absolutely perfect thanks to Brickside. Laury and Leo made the entire planning process a breeze. The night went exactly as planned and Leo did a great job making sure the night went according to schedule. We had 60 people and were able to utilize the front room which worked perfectly for us. I can’t thank Erica, Bridget, and Carter enough for their wonderful service. They made sure everyone was taken care of and happy. Also thank you to the kitchen staff! The food was delicious, hot, and came out all at one time. So happy we went with Brickside to celebrate this exciting time for my family! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

The food was pretty good, the service was pretty good. The noise level was very high. Three out of five stars. Could have been much better…

Normally great; tonight was not. Admittedly our fault my wife and I deviated from the norm and tried 2 menu options we wouldn’t have otherwise. Stuffed calamari was disgusting. Think of a pasta shell stuffed with sausage and cheese, then change the shell to soggy fish-tasting squid skin. Ugh. Second was fish and chips; again soggy tasteless(even with tons of lemon and salt) fish portions with old fries kept warm by a heat lamp. We will be back again but only for burgers.

The atmosphere is amazing! The outdoor seating is beautiful and peaceful. We always enjoy the live bands and the food is delicious which makes the experience perfect all around. Pizzas are awesome!

Recently dined here again on a Friday night in February. Once again th atmosphere was great, but I’m going to stop eating here. For my taste, the food is highly over priced, and mediocre at best.

Casual eatery with a pretty vast menu in Exton. Had lunch here on a wedding weekend a couple of weeks back. Service was excellent the food was very good. We sat outside and enjoyed the fountain nearby. Certainly a reliable place of you want to grab a bite when in the area.

I would give one star, but our waitress Courtney was very sweet. Went here with friends after work and ordered the PEI Mussels. My first batch came out with some tiny pearls(nothing to pay my student loans with) and one had not opened showing that it was dead before cooking. Courtney saw and offered to grab me a fresh batch. When the second batch came, the mussels were not de-beard properly and some were obviously over cooked. I cook fresh mussels from time to time so I know what a well prepared mussel should look, taste and feel like. Courtney saw that I was still unhappy and quickly offered to take it back and let me order something else. Upon her recommendation I ordered the quesadilla. I’m fairly certain that the chef was annoyed and deliberately poured salt over the entire inside of the quesadilla. Honestly, there’s no way that amount of salt could be an accident. I have pretty bad social anxiety so I lied and said it was fine, also I was afraid to send anything back again. I didn’t eat any more of the quesadilla and pretty soon my stomach started to hurt so I had to leave my friends behind and go home. I’m not sure if this place was having an off night or they just don’t know how to cook food but I personally won’t ever be going back there. Dine at your own risk.

I’m surprised no one really mentioned the service or wait time at this place. We come here for the great food, but the service is the worst. Also, I made a reservation for outside seating at 7. They did not seat me until 8. Why have an option for reservations? Annoying.

We frequently visit Brickside grill because it offers a dining experience unique to the eagleview area. Upon walking in we are greeted with smiles and a warm welcome back embrace. This approach is seen all throughout the restaurant, from the managers down through the hostess. This is one of the many reasons we continue to come back. Another aspect of Brickside that we enjoy is the ever changing chef specials. Tonight i had a whole Caribbean red snapper with plantains that was perfectly prepared. Most restaurant cook to taste, not brickside! They are not afraid of seasoning and boy they do it right. My meal was so good that it immediately transported me to a palm tree hut on a white sandy beach in St. Thomas, where i first had this meal. My wife could not decide on a specific dish. She decided on multiple dishes. He favorite were the drunken clams. They are prepared with yuengling beer hence they drunken clams. The clams were tender and extremely fresh. The clam broth is great to dunk the table bread into, totally delish! Her second favorite dish was the fried calamari. The squid was litely breaded and simply delicious. Served with marinara sauce makes for a finger licking good experience. I just recently lost my phone so i cant add pictures. Brickside is a must do in eagleview, pa

I usually have a decent meal at the Brickside but I made the mistake of ordering the swordfish taco’s on this visit. The light, fresh, crisp experience typical of a fish taco was completely missing. Instead I got an over seasoned(blackened which it did not state on the menu) greasy disappointment. And unfortunately our cocktails were disappointing as well. The only saving grace was the crab Louie salad.

Hate their food. Tried 3 times. Maybe it should be a 2. Always had good service and their specialty drinks are pretty. Whether the liquor is strong enough depends on the day. Been there several times but learned to stick to the drinks.

Great place to go in the summer to sit outside-have a really nice seating area in this shopping center. They also have a great happy hour menu which includes $ 3 Miller Lite and Yuengling, $ 4 select wines, $ 5 select martinis, and $ 4 for certain craft beer. I went with the Goose Island 312 which is a great choice if you like Blue Moon-light summer beer. Also many great food specials at happy hour which is weekday from 4:30 — 6:30 including $ 6 burgers, $ 3 mini cheese pizza, $ 5 buffalo chicken sliders, cheesesteak egg rolls, and chicken tacos. All the food was delicious as we ordered almost everything on the happy hour menu. The buffalo chicken sliders come with 3 and are very tasty and tangy, Be warned the chicken tacos are spicy with a nice kick. The cheese pizza is a perfect size to go with a cold beer. I also recommend on their regular menu the nachos which come piled high with toppings. We had a large party at happy hour and the manager was not very friendly so that is my only complaint. The waiters and waitresses did a great job of taking everyones orders and getting food and drink out to us quickly.

My darling valentine and I decided to have a pre-valentine’s day date and we chose to go to an old favorite. We haven’t been too excited about the food, the last few time we have been there. It’s not bad but it didn’t knock our socks off. We are loyal customers of The Brickside and the Drafting Room its sister restaurant. Well we are here to tell you, this meal knocked our socks off . We started our experience with their Moody Blue Cheese Plate, it had Blue Cheese, Sweet Sopressata, brandied apricots, crostini, and Greek Olives. The Blue Cheese was very high quality, it had the right amount of strength without being overly pungent, the Sopressata blends well with cheese and apricots on the crostini. This provided a great start to a wonderful evening with my love The next course was the Brie Salad for me and the Heart of Romaine for my love. The Brie Salad was an interesting combination that surprised me on how it came together. The Brie Salad was a combination of shaved Kale, Brie slices, Cranberries, Walnuts and Apples. The Kale gave the Salad superb lecture and taste with the brie provided a creamy blend that balanced out the tang of the cranberries and cut the sweetness of the apples. It was dressed with a light white wine vinaigrette dressing. You should try it if you get a chance. The Heart of Romaine Salad was a staple with the Blue Cheese dressing, another winner. Our main courses were Cedar Plank Salmon with a maple glaze for my beautiful date and a Peppered Bacon wrapped Monk fish for me. The Cedar Salmon was accompanied with a Sweet Potato mash and seasonable vegetables. The salmon was cook perfectly and the maple glaze gave the extra punch to the salmon that help cut the richness of the salmon. The slight smoke from the cedar planks gave the salmon a good favor that blended well with the maple glaze. The real winner of the night was the Monk Fish. When I was a kid, monk fish was first introduced into the U.S. market and it was called the poor man’s lobster. This dish really brought that out. Try to imagine, Lobster Tall wrapped in bacon. If you can’t imagine it you should try it. When they say everything taste better with bacon, in this case it is very true. The combination of the Monk Fish and the Bacon just blew me away. The meatiness of the Monk Fish and the Crispiness of the Bacon along with the spice of the black pepper blended well with the Hollandaise Sauce. This was all over the Horseradish Mashed Potatoes. The richness of the fish was balanced out with the mash. The one thing that I would suggest to the Chef is the make sure the Asparagus is trimmed properly. A few of the Asparagus were a bit woody at the lower end. The one dish that I was the most disappointed with was the Crème Brulee. The custard was well made but the Burlee was almost nonexistent. I consider myself a Crème Brulee aficionado. When you receive a Crème Brulee you should be able take your spoon and holding it sideways tap the caramelized sugar and hear and feel the Brulee crack. Unfortunately, there was no crack on this Brulee. The custard was good but the best part of the desert was missing which in my opinion took half of the enjoyment of this desert away. Over all I recommend going the Brickside, it is a good time and good food.

This was my go to place for oysters and brunch. I ordered 8 oysters as an app. After eating them I discovered a small worm like creature moving in one of the shells! I pointed it out to the waitress. She did nothing. Did not offer to take the oysters off the bill, comp a drink or tell a manager. I’m am lucky I didn’t get ill. Very disappointed.
