I have never been so amazed by a staff member’s personality and care for a customer. On May 25th2016, while at Toys R Us, I was shopping for my little sisters birthday presents and could not locate the minecraft section. Mark had approached me and asked if I needed any help. I had asked where the Minecraft stuff was and he took me right to the aisle. Not only did he just show me the section, he showed me every option of what minecraft stuff was there, ALONG with the video games for game consoles. After showing me all that, he noticed I had shopkin items in my basket as well. He then informed me about the shopkin trade this coming Saturday! Such great customer service and such a pleasant worker!!! I will do all my toy purchases at your location because of Mark!

It will be a LONG time before I return to the Exton Toys R Us. The treatment there by the salespersons AND the manager is reprehensible! For those of you in search of Season 4 Shopkins and planning to go to Toys R Us: there is only a 2 item limit. This is NOT advertised anywhere in the store! You would THINK that there would be a sign telling the customer this! I got to the store at 9 am this morning in order to have my pick. I decided to buy 4 packs and stood in a long line that took forever. I got up to checkout and was informed I could only purchase 2 packs. I asked if I could do 2 separate transactions. I was refused. I asked to speak to the manager. She refused to budge and so I told her that I could simply walk back inside the store and purchase 2 more. She told her they would still not sell them to me even if I did that. I was getting very upset at this point and did not want to hold up the line any further. I told them to put them on hold and gave them my aunt’s name(whom I was meeting an hour later). They did, but made it a point to tell me that they would only hold them until the end of the day today. An hour later, my aunt went in for me. They rolled their eyes at her at customer service, gave her a smirk, and made her go around to wait in a very long line at checkout instead of just ringing her up at customer service. I came into the store and went back to the Shopkins display. Still no advertisement saying a 2 item limit. I did run into a friend in the store who came into buy the Shopkins as well and warned her of the awful treatment she might come across. As I was walking away, I intercepted the manager and advised her to advertise what they are telling their customers is supposedly«company policy». I also told her that I did not appreciate how I was treated earlier. She told me that it was not about«treatment» but about«company policy». I told her that if I had walked out and walked back in to purchase more Shopkins, they would have no idea if I did that or not. They should have just allowed me to do the separate transactions. I threw in her face the fact that I did indeed find a way to purchase the 4 packs of Shopkins. She told me to go have a Merry Christmas. I told her to make sure that she has an even Merrier Christmas. Ahh. The spirit of the season. From now on, I will take my business to Walmart and Target. IF there was any written indication on the display or in the weekly ad that there was a 2 item limit, then I would have respected that. Having said that, I still believe that a 2 item limit is per transaction. If I had had my husband with me, he would have bought two and I would have bought two. These employees just wanted to be difficult. Well, this is what happens when you are difficult to customer: She makes sure to post reviews all over Unilocal and social media! Two can play at this game.

Normally I just go with the flow at TRU. Prices are high, selection not always great, but this time I had to tell the world about the very POOR customer service this store seems to always offer. On a regular basis this store only ever has one cashier and that is at the returns/customer service desk(so if you have a return or are buying something you are generally waiting for one or the other to complete before they even acknowledge you). But in the height of the holiday season there was only one register open. NONE of the registers had the lights on at all. But upon walking the length of the cash registers there was only one girl working on ringing out customers. So I got in line and five people followed me. The cashier finished ringing the first person and as she started to ring the guy in front of me she rolls her eyes and tells me she is closed. In the meantime the guy over at the Rzone(electronic area) opened his register(again no light to indicate being open). He took everyone over to his register that was behind me. The girl again rolled her eyes at me and insisted that I follow(and now wait behind 5 – 6 people instead of the two I had just waited behind). I asked if she could please just take me since everyone else had already gone to the other register. Again she rolled her eyes and copped and attitude saying that she had turned her light off(light was never on – not when I enter the store, not when I was done shopping and not when I got in line). I am going to chalk this horrible experience up to her being holiday help, but this store has always had very poor customer service when it comes to checking out(reason for the low rating). This was just icing on the cake.

I like this location because it’s not as busy and crowded as the King of Prussia location, and there’s no lack of parking. The staff I dealt with were friendly.

If I could give no star I would. The manager, Mona, is the mot disrespectful person. She is beyond rude and I will no longer shop there because of her attitude. My advice is go to Target, slightly higher priced on some items but much better customer service!

If I could give it negative stars, I would. My mom and I popped into Toys R Us hoping to pick something up for a birthday gift. Navigating the store is a nightmare and we finally found a staff person to direct us to the cars and trucks section.(side note: they do not carry Bob the Builder merchandise, FYI) We pick out the dump truck and head over to the check out, which is where Toys R Us in Exton looses all of it’s stars. There were only two check out lines open, each with several people waiting in line. After several minutes, we were approached by what seemed like the manager to see if we wanted to go to the check out that he was opening. My mom noticed he had already waived over other customers so wanted to ask if it was better for us to stay in our original line. Instead of assisting his customers, he dramatically rolled his eyes. I pointed out the fact that he(I didn’t say this part in parenthesis but it’s good to know — a grown ass man and) store employee, just rolled his eyes at his customers. His response«Shrug, I was only trying to help.» After his pathetic customer service, we decided to stay in the original line despite it having a broken register and the customer ahead of us having some type of coupon problem. Advice: Go to a different Toys R Us or support local business or lastly, buy it on Amazon.
