UFC Gym

Dishonest management and billing. It’s a shame, because I enjoyed the classes there. But flat out lying and over-​billing earns UFC in Exton one star. Here’s my experience: I joined initially at the $ 79 rate, and paid for TWO MONTHS up front, plus the enrollment fee. So total around $ 200. I was told at the time that since I paid for two months up front I wouldn’t be billed an extra month when I cancelled. Well, I canceled about 6 months later and was billed for an additional month at the end a few weeks after I cancelled. When I called them, they told me that it didn’t matter what I paid up front and the contract clearly said I had to pay the extra month. So I got scammed out of a month membership fee. But that’s not the end of it. I looked back through the billing, and realized that I had actually been scammed several times, including being double billed for a month when I converted from the $ 79 to $ 99 month plan. They refused to refund any of these charges. I currently am disputing the charges with American Express. It’s a shame that terrible management is ruining a good thing.

I worked in the corporate fitness world for 7 years. I joined local gyms around my home but none never stuck. In January 2014 I joined UFC Gym Exton after my Husband told me I would love it. He was right! The workouts are great! The trainers can accommodate ALL fitness levels in all classes. You push yourself as hard as you want on any given day. I started with just boxing classes and then rotated in the DUT (Daily Ultimate Training) classes along with the kickboxing and MaTRX classes. After I felt confident about those I took it to the next level and signed up for personal 1:1 sessions for boxing and now almost 2 years later i’m looking at advanced classes/​sparring. The best part about this gym is that there is something for everyone! The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and you feel welcome every time you walk through the door.

This is the best gym in the area. The workouts are challenging but adaptable to people of all ages and fitness levels.

I was reassured by American Express that I would not get any fees by disputing the bill, since I originally canceled my 12 year old son’s membership back in June. I did not expect to be harassed every day 3 to 4 times a day for the payment that American Express charged you for the dispute. The way this was handled was criminal!

I have been working out here for just over a month with the rest of the New Years Resolutioners, but I think I have finally found a work out that clicks! I have been to classes and personal training sessions with Drew, Dan, and Bilal. All of them are great — Bilal gave me some great clean eating tips, Drew has really improved my form with free weights, and Dan’s MMA and TRX class was not only a core blasting workout I found myself laughing and having fun too! The managers are so nice and greet me as if I’ve been a regular for years! During the recent ice storm that left thousands without power they even allowed members to charge their cell phones. Service like that is unparalleled!
