I have to say, I am extremely disappointed in the service. I’ve only had the food twice (once by take-​out) and it’s delicious, but our waitress was just plain horrible. I am not usually one to write a bad review but the amount of effort put in towards giving us great service was minimal to none. Our waitress was impatient, didn’t speak loud enough to really even hear her, hardly interacted with us and seemed annoyed when we had a question. Furthermore, I still tipped her 25%, and got home to find my leftover sushi literally thrown ontop of eachother in the box. If the food wasn’t good, I wouldn’t go there ever again. And if I get the same waitress and receive the same service, I promise you, I will not be leaving a tip.

We love coming here! The food is great and reasonably priced. We also really like the sushi.
The staff are very sweet and attentive.
Another plus is that it’s a BYO!
We are always happy that we made the right choice to go here.
They also give you crispy noodles in the beginning and sliced oranges and fortune cookies at the end.
Definitely a place you should try!

The lunch box chicken was boiled rubber with store bought sauces. The dumplings May of been from Sam’s club. The sushi tasted old and poor color (I hope we don’t get sick). They really need a zero star here. Well the fortune cookie was ok I guess

We had the vegetable dumplings, i had great jasmine tea, and loved every bite. Very delicious and quick service. The waiters didnt speak much english, but they were friendly

Z. WEI is remarkably consistent. Their staff is always friendly and courteous. The food, especially the sushi, is always top-​notch. The rolls are not the trendy fusion rolls that so many places are designing. Rather, they are classic, fresh, and we’ll executed. Also, very reasonably priced… and when you eat as much sushi as I do, that’s pretty important!

We get takeout from here every so often. The sushi is really good — and trust us when we say– we know our sushi!!! Their website isn’t updated, so if its your first time ordering, make sure you go in and grab their special rolls menu. Everyone who works there is very nice and their prices are good. We just tried the Exton roll with the banana tempura on top (after reading a prior review)… my husband ate it with his eyes closed… it’s that good!

I’ve ordered from this place in the past and it’s pretty good overall, haven’t had a bad experience yet.

I eat here a lot.
I swear their dine in food tastes better than the takeout! It is not the authentic food you’d get in Chinatown in Philly for instance, but it is still decent.
I order house fried rice because it is cheap, and my favorites: Hunan beef, Mongolian beef, Crab Rangoon, Spicy tuna roll, Eel roll and the special Mango roll they have on occasion.
Their sushi is out of this world! Their special rolls are deadly good. That being said I think the roll sizes could be bigger for the price they charge. But like I said, their rolls are delish which makes up for the price. They do have the authentic menu, which offers food not found in the regular menu.
I ordered things not on the menu a few times and they definitely accommodated that.
Bottom line: dine in, ask for the authentic menu, and for sure — try their sushi!

Excellent food, good service, nice ambiance .
The ingredients which is used to the dish is all fresh, and my shrimp cooked perfect. compliments goes to chef.
The waiter does good job.

I ordered the chicken pad Thai. Not my favorite. It was hard to eat with chopsticks because it was clumped up together like a big mush ball. Flavorless. Two stars for good serving sizes though.

Z. Wei is a great spot for reasonably priced sushi. I have been here four times and never had a problem. They always provide excellent wanton crisps when you arrive and this fantastic rice wrapped ice cream with orange slices before leaving. I always get sushi when I go but my fiancé had Pad Thai last time and loved it.

Cannot complain about the service, the sushi itself is mediocre. I’ve definitely better in bigger cities. However for the area this place has good food for good prices. Definitely where I go to get my sushi fix! I usually order take out and they always have the food ready for me.

Just decided to add one more notch on my belt when it comes to local sushi places. This place is that notch.
The look of this place almost reminded me of a diner that was remodeled into a sushi restaurant. Not a great look to me.
But I ordered a maki combo which came out promptly, and I enjoyed the taste. Freshness is not an issue. I do however believe that the size of the rolls is a bit smaller compared to what I can get elsewhere.
Not a bad place. But not memorable either. It’s strictly middle of the road in my eyes.

I got takeout so can only comment on the food quality — which was pretty average sushi, in my opinion. Not amazing, not bad. Prices were good and the service was fast.

My wife and I love this place. I am able to get sushi and she can get her Chinese favorites. I recommend this place, priced very fair and they have yet to disappoint.

Great menu selection. Something for everyone. Sushi was good. They have lunch specials. I like byob, it saves money.

You’d probably expect nothing more than your typical Japanese food here. But this place has exceeded my expectations many times. The sushi is very fresh and always delicious and they have a variety of Japanese, Chinese, and Thai food. Everything is very good

I’m really puzzled as to why this has such a high rating.
While in the area today, I stopped by since I was craving chinese. I ordered their lunch special of chicken and brocolli steamed with egg drop soup and fried rice. Surprise surprise, they don’t do fried rice! What chinese estaurant doesn’t offer fried rice?
I waited for my food, only took 5 – 10 minutes, and then left. When I was drinking the soup, I found myself unable to finish it. As much as I tried, I could not drink the soup because it made me nauseous.
So its an okay place, as long as you like white rice and don’t drink the egg drop soup!

Nothing out of the ordinary here, except the BYOB aspect.
This restaurant is very middle of the road, but bringing your own drinks help!
The staff is always friendly.

Love this place. We make sure that when ever we are in Exton we stop for dinner. Its the type of place that you would never expect to have great food since its usually very quiet. I don’t eat Sushi but my Girlfriend does, she says that the sushi is actually better that the more expensive Sushi restaurant teikoku.
Over all its a quiet place with great food and service. A must try for any one looking for Asian Cuisine an great Sushi Bar.
