I recently ordered a birthday cake for my son for his school party. I needed a cake for 15 – 20 people. They recommended a 15″ round. They asked me what kind of cake, what kind of frosting, what kind of filling and what decoration. They said I could just send them an image. The cake came out great, it was very pretty but very very expensive. I had to pay $ 60 for it. The cake I had a stay at home Mom make for his home party was a half sheet cake so about 2x the size of the round one I ordered and it was the same price and tasted just as good if not better. I won’t be returning to buy a birthday cake from them any time soon. However, they do have fantastic lace cookies which are my favorite. They were perfect and the cookie pricing was in line with other bakeries. I would definitely go back for cookies. Because of my mix feeling about getting ripped off on price of the cake and the feeling of heaven when eating the cookies, I rate them a solid 3.5

We purchased $ 40 worth of baked goods and we were a regular customer. Green Yucky Mold on and in 2 of the sugar free turnovers makes this place a no go in the future. We expect fresh and it is apparent they are sliding in older baked goods when you make a larger order. The workers and owners should be ashamed. We were tempeted to turn this over to the Fair Lawn Health Department. The one star is one star too many…

I have never written a negative review for any establishment but after my extremely upsetting experience there today, Christmas Eve, I feel compelled to write. A week ago I went in person to the Fair Lawn location to order a birthday cake for my son. I specifically went in person rather than ordering on the phone to ensure that my order would be correct. I pointed out a cake in the display and explained to the counter person that I wanted a cake exactly like that one… same size, same frosting, same flowers, etc., the only difference being that I wanted Happy Birthday written on it. I emphasized at least three times that I wanted my cake to be exactly like the one in the display. I paid for the order in full. I went in to pick up the cake today and much to my dismay it was absolutely nothing like the cake I had selected. It was not a chocolate fudge frosting but rather a very pale chocolate buttercream cake with blue flowers(which I specifically stated I did not want). I asked to speak to the manager and she was extremely unhelpful, and dismissive insisting that she had spoken with the young woman who had taken my order and that the cake was as I had ordered. She made absolutely no attempt to come up with any solution to the error and repeatedly stated there was nothing to be done and I would have to take the cake. I asked for my money back, but she refused that as well. I ultimately left the cake there, despite having paid in full for it. This is absolutely the worst customer service I have ever encountered and urge anyone considering going there to think again. I will never return there. There are plenty of good bakeries in NJ and no customer should have to put up with such poor customer service.

This place has serious problems with customer service. After placing an order for a ¾ sheet cake for my dad’s 90th birthday party, I called back a few days later to change it to a full sheet. The salesperson pulled my order and assured me she made the change, but on the day of the party we realized that the change had never been made leaving us with not enough cake! When I FINALLY got a call back from Amy, an owner, after numerous calls on my part, I found out that a salesperson should have called the Lyndhurst store to make the change. Though the damage was done, I felt a little better when Amy claimed to be furious and apologetic and tried to make amends by saying she would email me a coupon for a future purchase. Unbelievably, she didn’t follow through on that either. I even called the bakery again to make sure they had my correct email address, but nothing ever came. It’s obvious that this place has expanded too fast and does not pay attention to customer service. They won’t have a chance to disappoint me again!

I found the staff to be somewhat pompous, and slightly rude. The cupcakes I bought were alright, nothing crazy. The new location looks a lot better compared to its old one. The prices are good though. I’d go back to try some other items

I love this bakery! They have a great selection of homemade desserts, and they are also very fair priced. I’ve had their cupcakes, cookies, donuts, cream puffs, eclairs, and never once was I disappointed. They also bake fresh bread and cakes. Everything tastes unprocessed and fresh. The employees are also super friendly and helpful. :)

Cakes/cookies are OK/the norm here, good place for birthday cakes as well but not something to drive all the way out for. Might be a good place to look in after going to the nearby meat market Lost a lot of business after Zadie’s opened but the people are nice and I hope that they continue do well also
