I’m happy to go here to get what I need, but I’m also happy when I can get out. The sales are always great, but I definitely need help when I’m there and can rarely find someone to help. The yarn selection could definitely be better and the whole organization of the store itself needs some serious makeovers.

They always have lots of sale fabrics, which is what keeps me going(plus they’re next to El Patio, it’s delicious). The girls working could be more helpful, but they are friendly, so no real complains.

I love the prices here, especially the sale section. Their sale section has fabric that is 60% to 90% off. I like to look for good deals so you can usually find me in the back digging through the sale section. BTW, I’m not the one who messes up the table, its always messed up when I get there. I’ve only seen it nice and neat once, after I dug through it. They don’t have the big section of fabrics like Joann’s Fabrics, but they got regular deals like at Joann’s. When they have deals, I feel like the deals here are better.

Okay selection, employees are okay, location okay, so really just okay but I’ve been there more times leaving empty handed then ready to sew.

I LOVE Hancock! I live close to the store on El Camino but decided to visit this location today because the El Camino store was out of a Butterick pattern I wanted(hooray for pattern sales!). I was fond of this store’s layout and overall sense of presentation. The customer service was good as well! I wish this Hancock location wasn’t so far away… I’ll have to settle for the El Camino store.

Came in once to get inspiration for a curtain project. The two stars reflect the pleasant employees who were so eager to help, probably because they havent seen a person walk through the door in hours. Some of the fabrics were displayed very neatly, and others were just stacked on top of one another, which became a struggle to get to. I felt like the front of the store had better presentation of inventory, while the back half of the place seemed like a dump for older fabrics, and patterns. What an odd location to be in, too. It’s tucked in the dark corner of what looks to be a desolate part of the shopping center. Weird.

I wanted to have another option besides JoAnn’s for a fabric store, so I checked out Hancock’s, even though it was about ½ hour away from home. I can see why so many of their stores are closing. 1. No signs telling you what is on sale. I had some fabrics to get cut, and while I was waiting at the cut counter, I was looking through an ad, and found many things on sale that I would’ve picked up if I knew they were on sale. One of those things was the wide home decorating rolls. I asked the guy cutting my fabric, so all those are on sale? He wasn’t sure, then eventually said«…uh…yes?» So I went over there to grab a couple, which brings me to number 2… 2. Brought the fabric I picked from Home dec over to cut counter, and asked him if these were the ones on sale, since there was no signs and he seemed unsure before. He actually looked at his watch, then back up to me and said«Yep, still are». As if to say«you just asked me 5 minutes ago and I said yes, so yes, they still are.» I couldn’t believe he was so blatantly rude! So I will not be going back here, they didn’t have a very good selection anyway… Guess I’m sticking to JoAnns!
