Always helpful. The bike changed my life, I ride everyday. Thanks to the perfect fit and the extra attachments my dog can bike with me. Mickey and Vinny are super helpful by phone and in person.

I went into the place waiting for my hair appointment and wanted to look around. Immediately I was greeted by a very friendly gentleman who worked there. Unlike a few other bike shops, my presence was acknowledged and asked me if I needed help finding anything. I told him I just came in to pass time and check their shop out. He still acted very friendly and we had a conversation. He even offered me to test ride one of the trikes to pass time. This gentleman was very friendly and was very knowledgeable. I want to say his name was James? Another associate came in who was an older gentleman and was very nice as well. These people are very personable and they definitely offer a «no pressure» feel to them. It’s no wonder why they have 5 stars. You guys are awesome! Other bike shops can definitely learn a thing or two from them!

The staff always attends to my special needs with advice, ideas and adaptive products. I always wanted to try this out. The staff here is excellent. It was a busy day when I stopped by, but James went beyond his job to give the best customer service and custom fit a recumbent for me to test ride. I felt at home at this place. Of course I got the cute Catrike Pocket recumbent that is highly recommended for short people. Now my physical disability will not hinder me from going outdoors. Thank you LBC!!! You’re the best! Thank you, staff!!! You’re the best as well. I recommended 3 relatives to go here and they will most likely buy. I highly recommend this place.

Several months ago, I did my research and decided I wanted to see what these recumbent trikes were all about. So, I stopped in the store and was immediately greeted by Mickey. I was given the chance to ride several models and was pretty much hooked. It was this visit that inspired my wife and I to become «Laid Backified» and now have two Terratrikes. We love them!
Today, 12÷2÷2014, I was reminded of what a great place Laid Back Cycles is! I brought my Tour II in (Just turned 1000 miles yesterday) to get fenders put on. Vinny, as always, was there to go the extra mile by not only installing the fenders, but adjusting and fixing little things that it needed. All my experiences at Laid Back have been like this. They truly make you feel like you’re part of the family!

The staff and the shop are absolutely incredible.
As other commenters have posted, every staff member took the time to listen to each customer and answer questions (even when things got busy on a Saturday).
We were able to try a variety of trikes and test drive in the huge parking lot (with hill) along with many other smiling faces!
Lots of customization and accesories available.
No pushy sales. Honest, friendly, laid back and working hard to serve/​educate their customers!

The staff at Laid Back are just that, laid back. Mickey and his crew are friendly and knowledgeable. Overall, we have been extremely pleased with our purchases.

Mickey stands behind his products and offers on Unilocal.Found them on Fairfield Unilocal and didn’t know they had a fair Oaks Unilocal page too. He honored the Unilocal offer with no regrets. Super pleasant and has a class to teach you how to fine tune and adjust your bike. Can’t wait to share their business card on my first ride. I am sure people are going to want to know where I got my amazing bike.

I wanted to give a review on my experience at Laid Back Cycles this past weekend. I had done a lot of researching before visiting this clean, friendly establishment, and I was totally satisfied with the sales service and knowledge I found with Mickey and his team. They knew their product inside and out, were eager to help, but not pushy in the sales department. They took their time with me, answered all the questions I had and even ones I didn’t ask. They were so great that I bought a trike that day and they were kind enough to custom fit it for me right before we left. By the way, my new Terra Trike Rambler with electric assist is fantastic!
They have a well stocked show room, so even if you have to drive a distance, you won’t be disappointed when you arrive there. If you want to test one of their models, they have a nice wide open space right by their shop. I can very sincerely say that they satisfied all my requirements in giving me a quality product with excellent service.
I drove 3 hours to get there, but it was totally worth it. I know this is a business I will return to again and feel confident in recommending it to anyone.

Keep in mind that I usually do not log onto Unilocal to give my rating on businesses. I am just too busy at times and forget. However, this place and the people left a lasting impression.

Huge parking lot with a lot of parking and test riding.
Inside Store:
Very neat and clean.
Selections:
I saw mainly Greenspeed and TerraTrikes models. However, they are really well known in the trike community. And would give you the right direction to go if you are looking for something different. Even their competitors RBR trike (Rob) recommend Laid Back Cycles to me. And, they have a lot of accessories add on.
The People:
I must say Mickey, Ben, and Vinny are awesome people. They went above and beyond my expectations. After talking to them, I notice that they really care about their customer’s safety and well-​being. Also, these guys know their trike stuff, so ask them if you have any question. I trust these guys 100% and I barely met them.
Conclusion:
If you are looking for recumbent trikes in Sacramento, this is the place to go first and should be your last and only place.

One Saturday afternoon I wanted to take a look at a recumbent trike. I have neck problems so my standard bike was no longer fun. I dropped in to Laid Back Cycles and was greeted by a busy, but very helpful staff. I arranged a test ride and was immediately impressed. What fun! Like a sports car. The guys at the store are always helpful and knowledgeable. I bought my trike that day, and ehty even delivered it to my home at my convenience that night. Try a recumbent trike, and definitely shop here. Great products, great people, great service.

Did a bit of scouting around for recumbent bike shops and luckily found this store. Very pleased with their knowledge, inventory, customer service and ultimately my purchase. Love my trike. Highly recommend this place.

My father-​in-​law had major knee surgery when he was in his 40s and subsequently resorts to riding a recumbent bike with hand pedals. He has one back at home in Minnesota but wanted one for when he visits us in California.
He was looking high and low for a hand powered bike and every place we called recommended that we contact Laid Back Cycles. So we went for a visit and he tested out a few bikes at Laid Back Cycles. The manager or owner, I believe his name is Mickey was extremely helpful and let my father-​in-​law test out the bikes in the gigantic parking lot.
After some debate and discussion, my father-​in-​law purchased the bike the next day! Mickey also threw in free delivery to our home in Folsom and discounted bike racks! Wow, thank you!

Very good service here. I liked the (free) class and the demo rides. Sold me on recumbent trikes, and I found a lightly used one. Laid Back serviced it, added and up-​graded parts, so it rides like new! I’m sure they give the same great service and attention with the new ones they sell.

We recently bought 2 TerraCycle Tour II’s along with the 26″ rear wheel add-​on. Ben, who helped us initially, was awesome. In as much as we had years of cycling experience between us — on just about everything that has wheels — we had yet to experience the Trike ride… how cool!!! Ben was very informative, knowledgable, patient, and most importantly he didn’t «force the sale.» Ben simply showed us the models, gave us the pro’s and con’s, and left the decision (s) up to us. As it happens, Ben also built our trikes up. The end result was perfect. When we picked the trikes up, Mickey helped us with the fitting. Again, Mickey was patient, knowledgable, and had us riding in no time. Additionally, our trikes were ready for pick-​up, as promised, in one week… can’t ask for more then that. If you are in the market for a trike, stop by LaidBack Cycles… you won’t be disappointed.

An excellent shop. One nice feature — they have a huge parking lot so that any interested person can try one of their tricycles. I rode several. The mechanic, Mark, is one of the best. Highly recommended!

I saw this company at the California State Fair. The owner got me excited about these trikes. I know where I’ll go if I decide to get one.
