Jennifer gives the best facials I have ever had and I love getting facials, have had many from here to Carmel. The atmosphere is very serene and there is never a sales pitch for product as I have received at other Spas. A hand, foot and leg massage is included with the facials making it a perfect experience. Jennifer is a beautiful, warm and friendly person. My 94 year old mother loves to go to her for a pedicure. The address has changed. She is now on Sunset Ave near San Juan.

I go to this Spa for nail services whenever I am visiting the Sacramento area. My daughter has been a long time client as well. She visits Spa for the Soul on a regular basis. I am also in the Spa business and have work with and for some of the most prestigious Spas in the world. This Spa, even though it is a small privately owned business, offers all the pampering and service you could hope for. The owner and employees are warm, friendly and very accommodating. The products and services are always fantastic! I would recommend it to anyone looking for a warm friendly place to relax for the day!

I went here because I had a gift certificate my mom won from work. It was for a 60 minute aromatherapy massage. The aromatherapy part of the massage was nice. She used lavendar, euculyptis, and lemongrass. The massage was lacking though. She did what she called a «Swedish» massage. I asked for her to do things hard and only in one spot did she do some hard pressure. She did hardly touch my back. She more like rubbed it. She did my feet but when she did them, she did different massages on both of them. I’ve had quite a few massages and I could consider this one not so good. It was gentle so if that’s your type of thing, then I recommend it but that is personally not what I requested. The good thing is that she is knowledgeable about massage and she is also a Christian so I picked her brain about both.

After watching so many news stories of women developing infections after visiting discount nail salons I was hesitant to get a manicure from someone I didn’t know. I had a special event and really wanted my nails to look nice. A friend referred me to Spa for the Soul, a quaint salon in the heart of Fair Oaks. When I called to make an appointment I had to leave a message on the answering machine. Someone called me back within an hour and I booked my appointment for the following week. When I arrived I was greeted warmly and offered something to drink. Instead of the harsh chemical smell at many strip mall salons, there was a faint smell of fresh brewed coffee. It was quiet, no tv, and everyone was using their library voices. My nail technician, Starlene, was friendly and thoroughly looked over my nails and explained the importance of the cuticle. She offered me techniques for natural nail care and even gave me pointers to do at home. My manicure lasted an hour(not the usual rushed 20 minutes) and the polish lasted for 3 weeks! It cost $ 25.00, plus tip. Starlene told me to apply a clear coat over the top every other day to keep the manicure looking fresh. The only reason I had to remove the polish was because my nails had grown so much! I HIGHLY recommend this salon and Starlene.
