To start, I would give a 0 rating, if possible. This is based off my first and only appointment for today at 1PM. That said, I can’t recommend this doctor, at all. I’ve been a diabetic for 16 years and following a few mishaps, I was referred to this new endocrinologist by my primary and I will NOT be returning after just 15 minutes with this guy. Their office staff was horrible, as well. They don’t pick up their phones, are very short and not very knowledgeable. Firstly, he talked down to me, saying quote my «diabetes is out of control» and that I «should be using my pump, since I have it» among other things. Not once did he attempt to get to bottom of WHY my blood sugar may be high. Just simply condemning me from the get go. I’m no medical professional, but I would have questioned my insulin basal rate overnight, possibly testing my blood sugar only to see good readings, while its going high at night. All he did was just tell me my blood sugar is out of control. I replied with usually my readings run between 80 – 150, which is what all my doctors tell me is good and acceptable. His reply was that’s still too high. He doesn’t have good communication skills, let alone bedside manner, and after one visit did not seek to help me out in any fashion. I returned to my primary and made a motion NOT to refer anyone to this doctor anymore. He didn’t help me one bit in questioning the reasoning behind my sudden high blood sugar levels. And, with this review, hope that it deters further patients from wasting their time with an asshole and get a good doctor. If my primary physician is taking him off her referral list, that should speak volumes beyond my own review.
