J.Y. Bamboo

We stopped in on a Saturday at four not busy just a few other patrons. The atmosphere waa casual and clean. The restroom needs updated. The service was was nice and they were helpful with questions. We had sushi and it was delightful. We would go back and try more of the good looking menu.

Really great food and really affordable prices. I have only ordered to go and delivery and have had great experiences both times. Sushi is really yummy!

We had two outstanding meals here recently. We ordered the flounder both times along with a side of sautéed Chinese cabbage. Delicious! Surprisingly we were given great service from our waiter. It was a very busy and crowded night but we were served like we were in a fancy restaurant.

We really like J.Y. Bamboo’s sushi! It’s also a great price for the quality you get. Have yet to try anything but sushi from here. The rainbow roll and pink lady roll are so good! We also really love this place because they deliver!. Sometimes delivery does take a while. Plan on about an hour. If they will deliver good sushi to my front door I’m okay with waiting that long.

Just ate after a few years of not eating there because I use to live just a couple of minutes from it. Now I live about half hour away. The trip was well worth it! I love there seaweed salad and there sushi is great and the prices are good too. They also have the traditional Chinese food like general tsos chicken, which is fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant for a nice quiet night out with really good food.

Husband and I ordered takeout for the first time here, and we were blown away. The sushi was amazing, as was my Chicken Tempura Bento Box and my husband’s Vegetable Udon. There was a lot of food, and we were so glad we decided to give them a try.

Super suishi. Best I’ve found. Prices are great compared to other places, and they don’t have the taste and quality of J.Y.
I recommend.

My wife and I moved to Fairborn a little over a year ago. We decided to try JY Bamboo based off of a referral from a friend. We’re so glad we did!
The food here is excellent! And, they have a HUGE menu. The delivery drivers are very nice and the delivery time is usually very short.
If you like this type of food, you will LOVE this place. Give it a try!

Great food, awesome sushi (must try the sweet potato roll), delivers to Fairborn, and nice people. Good authentic Asian food.
But the service in the restaurant stinks! Getting a refill on your drink is slow as is things coming out of the kitchen. Not the place to go if you’re in a hurry.
A note on the delivery service — 2 hours is way too long to wait for a delivery order! Don’t bother with delivery!!!

A nice little place surrounded by some fast food chain junk. I was a little skeptical considering they serve a bunch of different cuisines (Chinese, Japanese, Thai, etc.), but we ordered a wide array of things and enjoyed them all.
It was great to have fresh, non-​processed food at a very reasonable price. Friendly service as well.

I hate to do this because this is the only quality sushi restaurant left in Fairborn but… My best friend and I did not enjoy our service! Yes our food was great but our waitress completely ignored us ! Barely came to check on our table or get us refills! We even had to get our own to go boxes. I was highly disappointed! I’ve never had that happen before from them. Clearly she didn’t like us that was obvious but why?

Holy crap! They nailed everything I ordered! Usually I’m not a fan when places offer multiple nationalities of food. I had the Dragon Roll, amazing! I had the miso soup, spectacular flavor, the seaweed was a little distracting but not enough to keep me from ordering it again. I also had the Thai dishes Green Curry and Pad Thai. The curry was amazing and perfectly spicy! The Pad Thai was really good but the noodles were different than what I was expecting. Overall it’s probably the best place to eat this side of Fairborn.

Manhattan roll is the most amazing roll ever. Also try the spicy tuna or chicken pad tai. This is my friend and I’s favorite sushi joint in town. Service can be good or bad depending on who is working. But one thing is for sure– the food here is always delicious! Maybe update their restroom though. Kind of like an out house feel. Ha.

Years ago, when this place first opened, they immediately stole our family away from another similar restaurant. The food was fresh and freshly prepared, everything was great including the service. Over the last couple years the place has suffered. Service has taken a nosedive. the waiter that has been there seems not to care and comes off as rude sometimes. The food was still pretty good. This last visit I noticed how dirty the place had become. My shoes stuck to the floor! You could hear the carpet peeling away from my shoes as I walked. disgusting. The floors by the bathroom were worse. The floors were so sticky, that the gravel outside stuck to the bottom of my shoes when I walked outside.
The food is no longer what it once was, while still good, it doesn’t compare to other similar restaurants in the area. I’m sorry JY, you have lost us as customers for awhile.

Food was good as was service, but the place was a little dirty. The food had excellent taste and everything was cooked well, but the whole atmosphere was a little off. One couple had been waiting for their takeout for quite a while and were causing a little disturbance, but I’d come back if I had the opportunity.

Went here for lunch and ordered off their very low-​priced lunch menu. The red hot chicken was excellent, and came with choice of soup (the egg drop was well-​prepared), and fried rice. Great meal for about five bucks. A couple of big groups came in and I think that slowed down service a little, but that’s my only real complaint. They have sushi specials at lunch as well; I tried a piece of my wife’s California roll and thought it was tasty and also a good value.

I’ve been here a few times now and tried to sample a variety of entrees before writing this review. I always come back to the sweet potato hand-​rolls, though. They are my absolute favorite. The fact that you can get sushi as a lunch special totally makes this for me. They deliver, which is a plus, too. Dine-​in offers a tranquil atmosphere and gorgeous presentation of the dishes. The miso soup was delectable as was the green curry, Yaki Udon, and Phở. The fried rice is pretty good, and the dishes I ordered with shrimp came with 10 – 15 per order and were decently sized.

Very yummy! Yellow curry is good. I like their sushi vey much. Spicy tuna roll, dragon roll are my favoritism ;)

I came here a skeptic with an open mind, and I left impressed! I had the Yaki Udon with shrimp and it was delicious! The noodles were thick and the dish had a great sauce. I’d average about 15 shrimp per order too, which is quite a bit in my humble opinion. The salmon sashimi on rice was fresh and good, and can’t beat the price of $ 1 a piece! The sushi rolls are small but priced appropriately. I went back within a week and got the same thing. Oh, and the miso soup is premium.

J. Y Bamboo is my favorite place to get Chinese food in Fairborn/​Beavercreek. I love the asparagus chicken. It is a really small place, but it is clean, the people are friendly and the food is great. I would definitely recommend trying out the food.
