Bud helped us design a bar for a very cramped space in our small arlington home, and then built it in-place. Great craftsmanship, excellent design. This guy knows how to make a bar layout work. Great experience!

Bud and his craftsmen built me a custom bar about 6 – 7 years ago. I stopped in last week to chat with Bud about an addition to my bar. When I arrived, I was shocked to see a Yoga place. I got on the internet and found their new address — just around the corner from the old location. Relieved, I found the place and walked through the new location. It seems smaller than the old location. It was a really hot and humid day out — and the AC did not appear to work well when they open the garage door to the shop area. I guess the whole shop is connected — they might want to look at isolating the workshop area from the rest of the store. As usual, they have all the trappings to set up a really cool bar — and this is the only place in the area that I am aware of that does custom bars. Bars by Bud is the place to go for a custom bar! Or to add to your existing bar décor! Check them out!

Considering there doesn’t seem to be any place in the area like this, I was in awe when I went to visit this cluttered place on a Sunday afternoon — as I was desperate for a tap adapter for my newly procured keg from Total Wine — yes a full keg of Smithwicks irish beer… mmmmmm, hmmmmm. But when I got it home, went to attach in my kegerator the tap was wrong… Panicked I called back Total Wine to consider my options, take the keg back or what? They said they would take it back, although reluctant, and told me about Bar’s by Bud. Considering it was Sunday afternoon 2pm and I was thirsty, I thought, do I really want to use my hand truck again to load this keg back from my basement to the truck or should I call this place Bars by Bud. I looked up U taps online and saw they ran $ 65 – 100 depending on what brand, style. Then I called Buds and a guy answered and told me he had the one I wanted in stock easily and to come down to pick it up. I got in the car, 10 minutes later was in the commercial business park and walked in. The place is packed with awesome man-cave stuff — I meandered my way thru a very tight walkpath because they appeared to have just moved from an old location and had things everywhere on the walls, floor, counters — everything you can think of for bars and setting up cool lounges at home… lights, beer tap pulls, ask trays, beer glasses, neon signs, tabletops, chairs. Then they have a whole technical area for meister systems. Anyway, got my tap right way and was home, hooked up and drinking cold Smithwicks in 5 minutes for an extra $ 85. Reasonable to pay the extra $ 15 bucks for immediate gratification. ;-) Anyway, this is a neat place for any man considering planning his man-cave…
