This is a great patio in a tranquil spot near the park. The lunch menu seemed to have something for everyone. It’s pretty simple, the ingredients are high quality and the service is very good. I thought the bread could have been a little more fresh but that might have been because we came late in the lunch rush.

It doesn’t get much better than eating lunch on the outdoor patio at Chad’s. The meals are delicious, filling, and very reasonably priced. The food is also organic which is a must. The wait staff is friendly and the service is great. I highly recommend!

I liked this place alot. It was so busy but people were really having fun. The food is very reasonably priced and very fresh! Quite yummy and you get huge portions. I had the salmon with mixed greens on a spinach wrap. Potato salad on the side. My gal pal had chicken thai curry on a spinach wrap. Both were deeelicious. The reason why only 3 stars is the potato salad lacked flavor and had too much mayonaisse in it. They should add lemon juice or a tad of balsamic to it. That could help it. Also, not their fault, but I suggest SHARING a wrap with someone. It is really big and when you have it the next day… it isn’t so good. NOT as fresh. So, share Chad’s with someone you love!

Chad’s is Fairfax’s best place for lunch. Tucked away amongst the Redwood trees, the outdoor seating is peaceful and sunny. The food is always fresh and of top quality with a focus on local and organic sources. I eat at the café several times each week and never get tired of it. The chocolate chip cookies are not to be missed!

I’m not really sure why the reviews for Chad’s aren’t much higher. On a recent visit to this quaint little café our food was delicious. Apparently the café used to served breakfast and lunch but has recently changed their menu to lunch and dinner only. My boyfriend and I stopped by for dinner and were extremely happy with our impromptu decision to check it out. The menu is not large but they have a variety of selections all of which are seasonal; most lyorganic and local. The appetizers ranged from proscuitto wrapped figs to asain dumplings and crab cakes. They also have a selection of salads and an organic pumpkin soup. My boyfriend and I shared a caesar salad and the Asian dumplings. Both were very delicious! The dumplings had whole shrimp in it, not diced like most restaurants. You could actually taste the shrimp in every bite. On this particular night there was duck breast, wild salmon, portabello mushroom steak, bacon wrapped filet mignon and roasted quarter chicken for the main entrees. I chose the filet and my boyfriend opted for the chicken. They were both excellent! Perfectly seasoned and cooked. Both came with roasted marble potatoes and very fresh, al dente broccolini and carrots. The portion size was perfect. For dessert we shared the homemade oatmeal cookie sundae. OHMY! Warm cookie with roasted pecans, vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup. Service was wonderful, our drinks were kept filled, plates were promptly taken away and the chef(Chad) came out to make sure we were happy with everything. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and plan to go back often. I really hope Chad’s gets more positive reviews because this place is worth raving about.

So my boyfriend and I are in constant conflict because I like to plan things and he’s a bit more on the spontaneous side. We decided to go on a hike this past weekend and he chose a hike in the Northbay northwest of Fairfax. Of course we didn’t get on the road until 1 or so and hadn’t eaten lunch. And true to form, he chose a 9 mile hike to go on. So we had to find somewhere to eat on the way and FAST. We came upon this tiny sign in Fairfax for this restaurant so we decided to check it out. And I was not disappointed. I got the sandwich with turkey and apples in it. It was soooo good, refreshing, and surprising in a good way. He got the 5 spice sando and didn’t really like it. But mine was AH-mazing. I’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Fairfax! OH! I forgot to mention, they have the cutest little outdoor seating area. The service is okay, the lady working didn’t seem to happy but she was pregnant and it was hot so I can understand that.

We were lured in by the outdoor seating area and the live music. The menu offers a half dozen each of various sandwiches, wraps and salads, some with a slight twist like the Thai wrap. Prices range from $ 8 to $ 12. They also have a few breakfast offerings. Our hungry group ordered a wide selection from the menu and did not enjoy a single item. The fish in the sandwich and the tacos were fishy, steak in the sandwish was tough and overcooked, children’s items were mostly microwaved, and everything tasted bland. I honestly can’t recommend anything we had. While the food left much to be desired, we did enjoy the atmosphere and received good service. 2.5 stars.
