I went here last Thursday to get a pedicure and this past Saturday with my boyfriend’s mother to get a manicure and she got her pedicure done. I have been going to this salon for over 12 years and have really come to like it. The salon is well lit, clean, moderately decorated well with salon décor, and comfortable. The services are reasonably priced. There is always a language barrier at nail salons, but they do understand what their patrons are requesting. Their services do last longer than some other places I have been to– paint staying on for almost a month, etc. I recommend this place to anyone looking for eye/face wax, full set tips whether gel or acrylic, and pedicures, whether spa or regular.

I was walking past and had a few minutes to spare so I dropped in for a manicure. This place is dusty, tired, and not attractive. The manicure itself was acceptable but felt rushed; the manicurist was brusk and not friendly. Can not recommend.

I can’t believe the bad reviews for this place! My mother and I have come here for years and years. Never once had a bad experience. Their tools are clean, the ladies who work there are nice, and the pedis and manis I’ve gotten here last well. My favorite thing is how at the end they go over the edges of a pedi with a brush dipped in polish remover to get a crisp clean finish with no errant marks. A lot of places don’t do this anymore. It’s my favorite nail shop in Fairfax.

This review is for the DaVi nails in the Fair Oaks mall. It is the worst fill-in I have ever received. The woman who did my nails was nice enough, but her skills were poor. My nails look sloppy and amateurishly done. I have had gel nails for over 10 years and she just did nothing right. I am so disappointed and will not be returning. What’s worse is that my nails look bad enough for me to go for a new fill-in tomorrow. Providing I can find a place, that is.

I’d have to agree with Viviane’s critique of this place. When I first started going I loved it and brought all of my friends… well, that was about 1.5 years ago and in that time their service has truly declined. The pedicures seem rushed, the tubs look dirty, and the staff are not friendly. The last time we went, my best friend got an extremely aggressive manicure that resulted in her being badly cut over the cuticle and bleeding everywhere… and then guy yelled at her because it’s not his fault her hands are«so dry.» He literally sliced her finger open, so I’m not sure what that has to do with the softness of her hands.

I have gotten a lot of manicures and pedicures throughout my life and I have to say that this place is not the place to go if you want a relaxing experience. The salon is dusty, environment not welcoming nor is it pleasant to look at and it’s a bit over priced. The manicurist that worked on me did not say a single word to me other than«go wash your hands», I mean I don’t need a talkative person to work on me, but do say something throughout the experience. I got a basic French manicure for $ 19, elsewhere it would be about $ 15 or $ 16. My boyfriend got a «spa» pedicure for $ 40, as I watched the whole process, it was below expectation, not worth the $ 40. If you’re in need of service and can’t get in somewhere else, this is «do-able» but don’t expect much from it. I would give it a 2.5 star.
