We love Dickey’s! Having first found it out West in Cali and Nevada, we know what we’re getting from each one we walk into even in Fairfax, VA. Their Sausage, Brisket, Pulled Pork, and those Waffle fries, everything at Dickey’s is so very good. The folks at this particular one are super friendly, very thorough and fast. Great Food and Team at Dickey’s Fairfax! Thanks guys!

Don’t do it. First, they didn’t know how to take off my coupon. Then we brought the food back and it was wrong. We called and he just kept repeating that I didn’t order on line because he would see it in his computer. Would not let me get one word in edgewise. Kept talking over me when I tried to give him the order # or any info on the receipt or email confirmation. He just repeated, I would see the order online. Then Hung Up On Me! Now to the food Besides the order being(1) prepared incorrectly or(2) an item left off the order. It was beyond old. The potato was baked days ago. The pork taco was sitting around for I don’t know how long. Lacked any sort of taste. The brisket was just ok so that’s why I gave it one star… Don’t do it. I’m warning you

Dirty everywhere. Gave it a try since a friend said it wasn’t bad and the husband wanted BBQ. I got food poisoning and was down and out for a full day. DONOTEATHERE!

Tried the food for the first time! I compare every BBQ place in VA to good olé Rib Hut in El Paso, TX. We got the pulled pork and brisket! The bbq original sauce was delish and the fries were made to order. The food was great and Omg, possibly the best local BBQ in the Fairfax area. Btw the sweet tea isn’t Texas sweet but undoubtedly delish!

This location sucks. We’ve been several times and each time they were out of something. Sausage, beef brisket and pork ribs. How can you run out of major BBQ meats on a Saturday!!! Only time we come to this location is on Saturday. Maybe if they actually had good meats we can give a better review. Customer service was very poor too. Three tries people, we are done.

I tried Dickey’s BBQRECENTLYAND I WASNOTDISAPPOINTED!!!(Fairfax city). service was friendly efficient and they were willing to explain anything on the menu to help you order. The BBQ was flavorful just as I expected it would be, and moist. The restraurant is a little small but the food is worth the wait — enjoy

Ribs and pork sandwiches were decent. They have the barbeque sauces nice and warm. The free ice cream is on the icey, not-so-creamy, type. The eating area is cafeteria style where you pick up and pay for your food at the counter and sit down with no waiter/waitress to worry about(my preference) so its all about the food. The last two visits were not so great however as they were closed during the hours they’re suppose to be open. First incident was an hour before closing and the second was 15 minutes prior to closing. At the very least, it would have been nice if there was some sign with a reason.

Bbq is good and service is friendly. Think of it as bbq fast food. I think you’ll be more forgiving or understanding with them that way. Not the best but enough to fill a craving. I like that they have a daily special and you get a yellow cup to keep.

Live the big yellow cups. Love the ice cream and the atmosphere. Did not love the BBQ. Did not love the heat lamp or the dry brisket. More attention need to be paid from corporate. I do like the sides and the tea. Foods needs to hot!

This place is a great fast food BBQ stop in. The service was awesome, friendly, and very welcoming. The food was great; we had pulled pork, mac n cheese, fried okra. They have great sauces and free ice cream too which was cool.

I have been craving Dickey’s for weeks and finally I had time! We arrived around 1 and were first in line– 4 of us– we each opted for something different, starting from a 1 meat plate and upwards. The food is delicious– there is no doubt about it. but I feel for the quality and quantity, the prices shouldn’t be quite so high. With 4 meals and 2 drinks, our total was close to $ 60. The guy cutting meat, the woman serving sides, the man at the register– all very nice, friendly, and efficient. I am definitely a fan but I feel I have to have a good reason to come here for the price I’m paying, however, except Sunday’s which is of course when we came, they have their specials which are well worth it and priced very well. I guess I will have to come back during the week from now on. oh darn(hehe).

Pros: Wonderful fries Yummy iced tea Great pulled pork sandwiches Delicious baby back ribs Tons of choices on side dishes and to top it all off, ice cream for dessert! Cons: None. A must try for everyone who has a knack for amazing bbq for reasonable prices in Fairfax. PS. Did I mention the owner was super cool and friendly as well?

First time stopping by in a LONG time. The restaurant was very clean, the staff was helpful and explain the menu. Their brisket is very delicious, however a bit dry. I loved their Okra and Green Bean sides! They offer Pulled Pork, Beef brisket, Turkey and Chicken breast, Ham, Spicy and Polish sausage. I was about to try the chicken breast in addition to the brisket but it looked dry so I passed. I supposed you could add a little BBQ sauce to help it out? I liked their spicy BBQ. I may or may not go back but would recommend this place to anyone who likes BBQ.

My original review was 4 stars but returned there today and ordered a pulled pork sandwich and a chopped brisket sandwich to go. While the pork bbq was decent, the chopped brisket should have been called chopped fat. My son couldn’t eat half of it. Very different from my first experience. Not sure why. See attached picture. Will give this place one more try and will def look at my sandwich before leaving store. Needs better quality control. Original review… «Clean.fast.good. Chopped brisket melted in my mouth. Yes it’s a chain but what isn’t these days! Good value especially with entertainment book coupon. Daily managers deal.»

BBQ: 5 Stars Service: Excellent I went here one evening with a craving for BBQ, the real deal bbq. You order at the counter, they assemble your platter, you pay and sit wherever you want. When I arrived there were only a few people on line ahead of me so I read the menu posted above head level on the wall and watched the BBQ Master at work. He had a rhythm that was cool to watch. He took meat out from the smoker, cut and diced everything just so and prepared meals for patrons. As I stood on the line reading the menu trying to decide on what I wanted, the BBQ Master asked how may day was going, whether I had any questions, or if I wanted to taste a sample of anything. Super pleasant guy. He gave me 2 samples, the spicy chicken sausage and the beef brisket. I was sold on the beef brisket! Tender, perfectly cooked, melt in your mouth, smoky flavor. I ordered the beef brisket sandwich to go. Since I did not want the bread to become soggy, I asked him to package the meat separate from the bun. My plan was to assemble everything at home. I went with the original bbq sauce. Delish. I also went with the Sweet Tea. It was so sweet, but by the time I made it home, the ice melted a bit and the sweetness leveled out. Everyone was really nice. The gentleman at the cash register was very polite and welcoming. I am happy that I decided to stop by. I can’t wait to go back.

This review is for the catering — when my wife and I were looking for bbq places to cater our daughter’s birthday party, I was looking for something obviously local and a good price point. I stumbled across dickey’s on google and we drove up to try their food on one saturday. The staff was very friendly and helpful and actually let us try free samples of everything(on top of 3 meat platter we bought) so we can select for our party menu! The beef brisket was hands down THEBEST! $ 9.95/person for catering and free delivery and setup — for 2 meats, 3 sides and rolls, silverware, plates and napkins… Dickey’s couldn’t be beat at this price point in the DMV! on the day of the party, the delivery guy was friendly and setup everything for us and even gave us sternos and serving stands! Everyone loved the food! We ended up doing the baby back ribs and beef brisket — sliced and chopped and mac n cheese, cole slaw and BBQ beans. Can’t wait to go back! Go see Chris or Andrew for your BBQ catering needs!

Totally okay barbeque with good service. Somehow, even though I’m from Texas, I managed to never frequent a Dickey’s until just the other day. I appreciate the cooked on-site meat, but everything smacked a bit of pre-made pre-cooked factory-made BBQ and sides. It was all very okay without anything too redeeming. I found the Polish Sausage to be my favorite, and the okra was solid. I like this place more than Famous Daves, but not by much. With BBQ, it seems that you just can’t get the same flavor from a chain.
